Ian Laperriere is such a bad fighter. I've never seen him in a good fight. I'm not watching another Laperriere fight. Boring as hell.

3 fights (supposed fights) for Lappy and every one sucked.

FOR ALL U HE JUMPED CROWD, HAVE ANY OF U SEEN OVIE "HIT" SOMEONE

Posted by dmac1983 on December 22, 2009 at 04:19 PM

5 seconds? Couple seconds? Come on, homers. Watch the game clock, it was less than 1 second after he released the puck. JUST LIKE BOOTH, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND DON'T ADMIRE YOUR DROP PASSES. Shouldn't a former player know that three fights = ejection?

that was a dirty ass hit by laperriere.....he left his skates........as for philadelphia fighters....they are the weakest team by far in fighting......no one on the whole flyers team can fight......they are an embarrassment.....4 fights and all of them are like playing paddy cake. weak weak weak.....lame lame lame.

Posted by slavv on December 27, 2009 at 04:40 PM

Looked like Laperriere wanted to fight the whole Florida roster. Too bad there wasn't a half decent fight out of any of them...sad.

Posted by djray5000 on December 23, 2009 at 02:53 AM

Love the big hit, but hate the "fight". No punches thrown, no contest.

Laughing stock Laperriere doing what he does best..... destroying hockey

Posted by hal29 on March 07, 2010 at 01:31 PM

so leaving your feet is a clean hit? the hit was a cheap one and leaving your feet has always been a penalty. bitch hit by lapyy

Posted by chrisuko on December 22, 2009 at 09:09 AM

the only punches were with gloves still on

Posted by k.L on December 22, 2009 at 02:05 AM

Homer announcers go hang yourself "very late", it was less than a second. But since you didn't know about the 3 fight rule im guessing you dont know about the 2 second rule either.

Posted by mimccauley on December 22, 2009 at 02:10 PM

I'm not a fan of the Flyers and can't stand Laperriere, but a charging MAJOR?!?! You've got to be kidding me. You can see him start to come into the frame at about the hashmarks at the beginning of the clip & he doesn't take a single stride the entire way through the hit! Late? He hit him about a half second after he got rid of the puck, that's not late. Yeah, he left his feet, but hand, stick, elbows were down & contact was made with the body, not the head. Should have been a minor at worst. I've seen much worse get no call.

good for seidenberg to defend the ther panther, but wow what a phenomenal hit by laperriere.

Lappy left his feet for that hit and that's a no-no in Colin Campbell's world. He was the only Flyer who showed up to play last night.

nothing going on in this fight. 3 fights in 1 game for ian tonight.

Posted by SABREHATRED on December 22, 2009 at 07:54 PM

Should of stayed out west Ian, at least there we didn't see how bad you were. You can make it all up though by putting Kaleta through the glass!!!

DRAW, no punches landed

Posted by My Sweet Shadow on December 22, 2009 at 06:01 PM

Mimccauley, in your description of the fight, you basically defined a charging penalty. Nowhere in the rules is specify how many strides you need to take. "Charging shall mean the actions of a player who, as a result of distance traveled, shall violently check an opponent in any manner." He got a major because he clearly jumped into the hit, which created a very dangerous play. If it wasn't for the fact that Oreskovich is 6'3" 215lbs and saw him at the last second, he'd be down for the count and everyone would be talking suspension. It was a predatory hit and good on Seidenberg to stick up for his teammate.

Posted by whataguy on December 22, 2009 at 10:23 AM

good hit from lappy, maybe a second too late, if that. from his angle, he couldn't tell what he was going to do with the puck. as for the fight, seidenberg had no reason to get involved. all he did was grapple anyway. i can't stand these guys that mistake hugging for fighting. laperriere made a good attempt at making it a fight, but seidenberg just wasn't having it.

Posted by phillyBrashear on December 22, 2009 at 02:28 PM

I love these homer announcers. Laperriere shows up 5 seconds late and Richards kneed Weis earlier. So wrong. Clean hits both times around that resulted in ugly fights for Laperriere. Florida - skate with your head up.

Amazing hit

Posted by kimo_coyote on December 22, 2009 at 09:17 AM

Of the 3 fights Lappy had the only hit was the check in this one. Lot of hype by Florida announcers. "All sizzle no steak"

Posted by Behn Wilson on December 25, 2009 at 03:10 AM

Laperriere with a great hit, and the 3 millionth draw of his carear.

Posted by BruinLeader on December 27, 2009 at 12:55 PM

Thats a "very late" hit? NFW.

Posted by jbaktai on December 22, 2009 at 01:50 AM

"I think you get kicked out after 3 fights" ... no really? you think announcers would know their shit but apparently not. Draw, nice hit tho. Something real bad is gonna go down if philly keeps loosing like this only a matter of time they got too many guys who can really hurt someone, and if these guys start getting dirty again *cough* prongner someones gonna get hurt bad

Posted by tpr1960 on December 22, 2009 at 06:47 PM

Dennis Seidenberg ?????? He played in Philly 3 years and still hasn't hit anyone . And he still hasn't landed a punch . Oh and a GREAT HIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by acd1 on December 29, 2009 at 07:58 PM

Great hit!!

Posted by anklebreak75 on December 26, 2009 at 11:25 PM

Laperriere knew he was wrong and saw this coming. Third fight of the night, just doing all he can to not get his a** handed to him. Too whipped to have a real go with Seidenberg, to bad it would have been good.

3 crap fights in one night for Lappy

Lap completes the craptrick. Draw Nice hit

Posted by chad420 on December 22, 2009 at 07:43 PM

sick hit....draw

Posted by CocoQuaker7 on December 23, 2009 at 04:43 PM

Crap fight. The charging major is a bad call. I've seen Ovechkin take longer runs at guys many times and not get called for anything.

Posted by bloodchurn on December 22, 2009 at 03:04 AM

Awesome hit.

Posted by evol_lurk on December 22, 2009 at 04:11 AM

Not, its not an awesome hit, since he jumped it in. If he had'nt it would have been awesome. But he does, and its a charging. No fight...

Posted by Oil Can Henry on December 22, 2009 at 02:12 PM

NHL = No Hitting League The hit was not late,...it wasn't a charge,...it certainly, wasn't a major,...and it didn't deserve a penalty, at all. Why not clean-up the game entirely, and ban ANY type of physical-play. ( And if replays are shown in slow-motion -- of course the hit's going to appear LATE )

Posted by Wings_19 on December 22, 2009 at 07:29 AM

Dirty hit. It was late and he jumped in the air. Just cause the Panther player wasnt hurt doesnt mean Lappy shouldnt be suspended

Posted by tomales2 on December 22, 2009 at 08:48 AM

Laperriere, lol. Draw. Nice hit. I believe that was sarcasm by the announcer re: 3 fight rule.
