I think Mac throws better from the left, but since the cheekbone last year seems hesitant to trade with the righties from that side and be fully exposed? Both looks very strong, two fighters from the top one´s, but still step behind Vit Klitschko :-) I looks like Draw, but Steve with a cut on his brow, sou very close for Brian.

see, now I like how these 2 want to stand in there for a long while and try and throw big ones...Now laraque throws big but then he goes 4 the takedown early..that's why I like these 2 better.

McGrattan fed McIntyre a steady diet of knuckles early with at least 5, maybe 6 good connects. McIntyre came back briefly with one or two good shots shot and some momentum before McGrattan got his second wind about the time the refs intervened.

Oh man what a fight. If i had to call a winner, it's McGrattan cause he did land a little more. But this is the kind of fight that pointing out a winner is moot, that was great!

Both risked getting KO'd with every soup-bone they threw for two minutes straight. No spinning! No clutching! All Entertaining! Ever so slight edge to McGratton as it seemed McIntyre was a slug-away from Wobbly Street but having had said that Steve took the end of the fight. Two thumbs up to a couple of future top 5 heavy weights.

wow that was a nice fight.....you have to hand it to MacIntyre for not bailing on the fight....McGrattan was teeing off on him early but as the annoucers said he got up off the canvas and aquitted himself well....he savaged his pride late and probably gained a measure of confidence heading into their next meeting McGrattan gets a nice win and i am guessing these guys will see each other allot this year

Great fight. You gotta love guys that can take a few shots and keep throwing bombs. McGratton gets the win because of the early damage and visible battle wounds to Mac's face. However, Big Mac wins the late rounds and possibly wins the fight if he could have prolonged the fight another round or two.

Steve MacIntyre,another top notch enforcer who the Boston Bruins let get away.First it was Colton Orr,then MacIntyre Big Mac played in Providence 3 years ago and destroyed everyone he fought.I thought we finally had an up and coming enforcer,but they just let him walk,like they do with every potential enforcer.We havent had a major league enforcer here since Ken Belanger left.It's tough bein a Bruins fan when you love the tough stuff.

McIntyre is a monster like the Boogieman. McGrattan was the underdog and with his style (open and throwin') he ran the risk of getting TKO'd but surprisingly slightly edged the monster. Wow!

Very slight win as Mac landed a couple solid lefts later that would crumple the huggers. I think this was definately FOTY candidate (so far).

Fight of the year so far. How MacIntyre survived those bombs is amazing, even more amazing was his second half comeback. Steve was really throwing em' when McGratts was out of gas. Old school stand back and throw. No wrestling or spin o rama stuff. Very happy for McGratts and his recovery and shaking off those demons. I had that drinking problem and shook it off 27 years ago. It ain't easy !!

Now THIS is an NHL fight. Both guys stood and threw. No takedowns. No grabbing a guys pants like Steve Downie does. No BS. However, the problem with NHL fights is that the linesman get it too slowly. Guys get hurt because the linesman let fights go too long or some weasel goes for a takedown.

McIntyre's face tells the story. McGratten used him as Oiler punching bag. McGratten was unfazed not a scratch. Stortini stayed clear of McGratten all night after seeing McIntyre get messed up. Which should be a suprise to no-one. McGratten is sending a message to the NW division loud and clear!

Great fight! Mac relies on the long reach to get the upper edge but took some hard blows from Grats because he allowed him inside. Gotta give it to Mac though, he took everything Grats had to throw at him and came back and made a fight out of it. This is the sign of a fighter who is here to stay. I like it. !!!

So many people influenced by a lost helmet and over-reacting announcers...factor in MacIntyre's body shots and straight rights that his reach allowed and he gets the W. He got turned around a couple times but he was in it for the long-run...McGrattan was hoping for a sprint and a ref intervention.
