I'll never forget that particular year of fights from Twist! There were heavyweights from other teams that were scared to death of Twist, especially after what he did to Ray.

Posted by darink on April 01, 2007 at 11:15 PM

The Twister was the most intimidating fighter at the time.

Well, I am a Buffalo fan and a Rob Ray fan, but that is honestly one of Rays worst fights. He got destroyed by the returning Tony Twist. Winner = Tony Twist

Rob Ray is a tough guy but he got his clock cleaned by Twist here. This was about as one-sided of a fight as I've seen.

TWIST CRUSHED HIM.

The power and speed of Twist unloading those rights is amazing to watch as he pummels Ray into next week.

Win to the steroid guy.

Ray tried, but Twist was a monster. A real beat-down.

Posted by mikebflorida on November 16, 2007 at 01:41 PM

Total domination by the Twister. Wham bam thank you mam!

Hey Werewolf... this fight occurred nearly two years before McGwire even came to St. Louis. Get your facts straight before posting such nonsense.

Posted by nickpip25 on April 17, 2009 at 08:02 AM

Tony Twist was a baaaaad dude!

Posted by Jellyczar on November 04, 2010 at 09:22 PM

complete butt kicking of Ray by Twist..Ray should have taken off his jersey before the fight started...

Posted by Carmie on April 01, 2007 at 01:51 PM

Twist was the undisputed heavyweight champ in the mid-90's. Winner : Twist by tko.

Posted by slq2k on August 05, 2008 at 02:22 AM

Twist...no contest.

So 51slaps must be the world's biggest idiot. Razor faught a month later. 12 more times that year, and 120 fights after. Ended fighting career? GTFO

Ron Ray is one of my all time favorites. This fight still makes me ill to watch. Twist is an absolute beast and he proved it on this night. Truthfully, Ray is not that big of a guy, but I never saw him back down from anyone. This was by far the worst beatdown he ever took.

Posted by JCVII on February 02, 2013 at 01:54 PM

Most serious ass-whooping I've ever seen Ray take. The Twister was an absolute beast.

Posted by the kid 61 on April 08, 2017 at 04:09 PM

ouch, twister did a number on rays mug. if only he could of taken off his jersey said the homer announcer. I like ray but stick to fighting middle weights. 2017 after reviewing the fight i feel for razor as those hicks from st louis clapped when they seen his face smashed in. But karma is a bitch when ray showboated after knocking out denny bonnie. God bless trump and america and probie.......

Ray who could throw down with the best of them got his clock cleaned here by roidhead Twist. This was their only fight as well. After this fight, other enforcers were scared to fight Twist as seeing one of the league's best fighters completely getting their clock cleaned this badly is not something you see every day.

Posted by Juha82 on June 10, 2008 at 04:40 AM

Ray did okay but took a BIG BEATING from Twister. I wouldn't want to be Ray here.

Posted by T800m101 on November 19, 2008 at 12:40 AM

Twist and Ray line up for a faceoff. Everyone knows they're gonna go. Once the puck drops they look at each other eye to eye, then off come the gloves. It's pretty even at first, both throw some shots, Ray's missing the mark, and Twist throws some glancing shots. Then out of no where, BAM, Twist drills Ray on the side of the head then he delivers another crushing blow directly in Ray's right eye, crushing his orbital bone. Twist continues the onslaught by throwing a barrage of right hands, eventually dropping Ray to his knees, then a final giant punch that puts Ray down. Probably the most one-sided fight I've ever seen, atleast at the NHL level.

Posted by DemonRage on March 14, 2007 at 11:10 PM

tony twist kicked rob ray's ass bad

Posted by 51slaps on July 03, 2007 at 10:46 PM

Twist was at or near his prime at the time of this fight. If I remeber correctly, this pretty much ended Ray's career as fighter. Poor guy. His face looks like it got hit with a brick at the end of the video.

ass beating....great fight

Good God Crosby wins another one!

Posted by CJannsen on February 04, 2011 at 05:33 PM

Ray did okay, its just that he gets totally destroyed by Twist.

Posted by werewolf on March 04, 2007 at 06:17 PM

Twist was on steroids(andro), Tony isa well known weightlifting training partner of none other than Mark Mcgwire of the St. Louis Cardinals at the time.

Posted by CrossCheck on May 16, 2007 at 02:57 PM

Twist missed with the first punch and then Ray lands two giant bombs and overwhelms twist and breaks his orbital bone. Ray dismantled twist with a KO.
