2 minutes for roughin.typical big guys fight

Posted by battags on December 08, 2008 at 03:07 PM

boogy has a tough time standing up, that's most everyone strategy, including Belak. Very few with go toe to toe with him, I guess I could kiss his $#@ too him I could spin him around until he fell down like most of his opponents try doing. Stand in one spot and fight tough guys.

Posted by deadgoon on December 08, 2008 at 12:40 AM

Belak with the "good job of staying out of the way and not throwing a solid punch" and Boogey with the "good job of not staying balanced". Bunch of Boogard haters is what I think we have here.

Posted by Medulaman683 on December 20, 2008 at 01:56 PM

Obviously a draw there wasnt much of a fight

Posted by acemtydk on December 08, 2008 at 03:14 AM

What could have been a great fight turned into a yawnfest.

Posted by MNBonecrusher on December 07, 2008 at 09:27 PM

Wow, this was a pretty lame fight. Not even worth watching.

Posted by mnenforcer24 on December 14, 2008 at 08:54 PM

Boogaard would have finished smoking Belak again if the officials let it continue. No winner so who ever put Belak is an idiot just like Battleaxe13 he is a moron like half of the other people on this site.

Posted by JCarlson on February 19, 2009 at 10:11 AM

Belak early, Boogard end

Posted by Jellyczar on December 08, 2008 at 08:17 PM

Draw...nothing happening here.....

Posted by Juha82 on March 11, 2009 at 01:21 PM

Boogeyman with the best punch(a right at the end). nice jersye jab by Belak but wasn't so great one still. A DRaw.

Posted by roundhouse4u on December 07, 2008 at 11:09 PM

one punch for each guy. call it a draw. for those who think belak is in the same class with the rest of the big name big guys. quit smoking the pole and get real. a blind squirrel can find a nut every now and then. BOOOOOOGUAARD BITCHES

Posted by staceyb on December 08, 2008 at 05:55 AM

I guess it's just me but Boogaard is mechanically not that skilled a fighter. He just holds back until he gets you with a big overhand wallop but time and again a more skilled fighter like Belak can keep him at bay.

Posted by MNOLDTIME on December 08, 2008 at 01:37 AM

ok fight this was a draw as nothing really bacame of it.

Draw of all things

Posted by Wildboogyman on December 08, 2008 at 12:33 PM

Belak continues to hold his own against the BIG MAN, cuddos to him. With the Canucks in the Northwest division I wish one of the other teams in the NW would have takin a flyer on WB. Just to see the NUCKS run and hide for 6 games a year like they do when Boogy is on the ice. Wait the NUCKS would gang up on him too.

Posted by brokn_stik on December 28, 2008 at 11:22 AM

That was too close to give it to Belak.

Posted by seipmoney on December 10, 2008 at 08:05 AM

fight ended to quick although boogey did get popped but im sure these two will go at it again before the season is over.

Posted by DaBomb1 on December 07, 2008 at 08:28 PM

3rd matchup between these heavyweights. I gotta call this one a draw because Belak as usual kept Boogaard off balance, but didn't really connect with anything solid. Draw

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on December 07, 2008 at 08:04 PM

draw!

Posted by CHRISNEILNATOR on December 08, 2008 at 12:51 AM

BOOGARD COULD BEAT UP THE CANUCKS BY HIMSELF.HE WOULD SLAP AROUND WILLIE THE CHIPMUNK MITCHEL AND THE SISTERS

Posted by darkknight9 on December 08, 2008 at 12:00 AM

to everyone who wants to hate on boogy and talk about how Belak now has his number, check out the last fight on November 29th. His right uppercut says this isnt Belak having his number..... its the beginning of a beautiful rivalry!

Posted by Boogeyman2383 on December 19, 2008 at 01:43 PM

TO ALL THE BOOGAARD HATERS ON THIS SITE! Same situation. Belak controlled the balance, but neither player really landed a solid punch. Disappointing draw

Posted by Kesler on January 03, 2009 at 10:51 PM

Very Close Would Have Seen A Winner If The Refs Didn't Stop It Soooo Soon So I Have 2 Say a Draw.

Posted by AllDayAP on January 04, 2009 at 05:59 PM

Not a single punch was landed. Clear Draw

Posted by mike563 on December 08, 2008 at 09:23 PM

belak win i guess

Posted by sporr on December 08, 2008 at 11:20 AM

Boogaard has no business playing hockey. He sucks as a player and is only in the line-up for the occaisional fight. He sometimes wins but what a waste of roster space. He should spend his time learning to skate and then maybe his only other skill (taking a punch) would be usefull.

Posted by Haberdasher on December 08, 2008 at 04:26 PM

Win Belak. He's handled Boogaard well this year. He's pretty smart, but one of these days Boogie is going to get sick of losing to him and land an orbital-crusher.

Posted by Biff1919 on December 07, 2008 at 08:45 PM

Not a great fight. Belak with the win. He looks like he's trying to get behind Boogaard so he can't get hit. Maybe he should jump on his back and choke him out!

Posted by The DZA on December 08, 2008 at 05:09 AM

yawn...belak win...yawn

Posted by brad houghton on December 08, 2008 at 09:23 AM

not much happened here too bad it didn't get going....good to see Belak dressing he's a guy that challanges or rises to the challange of Boogy anytime. maybe minor edge Belak in a nothing fight

Posted by kalismkkr on December 07, 2008 at 10:56 PM

Nothing serious seemed to land in this lame fight. Boogaard did go to the locker room bloodied after the fight but he came back a little bit later. He probably wasn't hurt nearly as much as the ego's of some of his fans.

Posted by BattleAxe13 on December 07, 2008 at 08:41 PM

To all you people that say Boogaard is the toughest and/or the most feared fighter here is yet another example of how he isn't. Not a great fight but Belak handled Boogy very well like Laraque and Godard do all the time. Sorry but Boogaard just doesn't do as well as Laraque, Godard, now Belak, or even Brashear.

Posted by tnaveler on December 09, 2008 at 09:18 AM

Belak win. 2 connected, but not much else.

Posted by bruiser11 on December 07, 2008 at 07:50 PM

not much of a fight..boogaard couldn't put belak away again.

Posted by flyerfighter73 on December 08, 2008 at 11:47 AM

Boogaard is dropping in the heavyweight standings. He doesn't look so good this year. Yes,Stortini might have a chance against him this year.

Posted by FlyerPhanatic on December 08, 2008 at 02:48 PM

belak gets the win because he lands the only clean shot. Why in the hell did the refs jump in that early? Got to let the big boys go longer than that!

Posted by Clark75 on January 01, 2011 at 11:25 PM

Belak

Posted by tiger22 on December 08, 2008 at 01:03 PM

Wow! One punch by Boogie and it hit padding. That makes 2 clear wins for Belak this year over Boogie.

Posted by blazers76 on December 07, 2008 at 08:34 PM

Win Belak. He seems to have Boogey's number.

Posted by mcgrew36 on December 08, 2008 at 08:56 AM

Boogard sucks so bad, he has no balance.

Posted by Behn Wilson on December 07, 2008 at 11:48 PM

Let me get this straight.... Wade Belak beats Boogaard in two consecutive fights!!!!????? What's next? A clear Stortini victory?

Posted by jkluhr on December 08, 2008 at 11:03 AM

Belak owns Boogaard this year.

Posted by RykerHC on December 08, 2008 at 07:29 AM

I expected more from this one, but I give Belak the win here. By a small margin, though.

Posted by pontusxman on December 09, 2008 at 02:36 PM

The boogey man has a weakness, all of the fights that he has lost( which is a determination of him not dominating given his size and agressivness) have been lost when the other tough threw an early hard jab or punch. It seems to knock Boogaard off of his tempo and allows for the other guy to throw'em before the hug fest and take down. I give this one to Belak for handling the Boogeyman, Boogaard needs a stronger jaw to dominate.

Posted by Boom Boom Belak on December 07, 2008 at 09:11 PM

how can anybody call this a draw?

Posted by omorales on December 10, 2008 at 01:33 PM

Wow, looks like the "boogieman" can't fight people who fight back - what do you expect, that's par for the course....win Belak

Posted by siouxfan1 on December 07, 2008 at 09:33 PM

I have to give the edge to Belak and the win!!

Posted by mikebflorida on December 08, 2008 at 02:41 PM

Wade Belak owns Boogaard and it couldn't please me more that you Wild homer fans get to watch him lose fights lately. You guys are the worst on this site and that's pretty bad considering the company you're in. Belak is easily top 3 right now until he proves otherwise. Florida was retarded to give him up and so was Toronto for that matter.

Posted by BrianTheAdsFan on December 08, 2008 at 02:16 PM

One of the best jersey jabs I've seen. Looked like it actually stunned Boogaard a bit. One other good shot by Wade. Nothing really connecting otherwise in this short one. Gotta give it to Belak here.

Posted by jbaker3924 on December 07, 2008 at 09:29 PM

Win Belak.

Posted by DetroitIan on December 08, 2008 at 12:54 AM

Clear win for Belak. Boogy did nothing in this fight.

Posted by tattooedkingpin on December 07, 2008 at 08:19 PM

Nice fight by Belak. He gets the W

Posted by BAAAAANNERMAAAN on December 08, 2008 at 09:36 AM

Boogaard only has size and a big knockout punch.........he is not a great fighter at all..............

Posted by Landon121 on December 08, 2008 at 02:48 PM

Behn Wilson: Boogaard was listed as the winner of the last bout between these 2: http://www.hockeyfights.com/fights/51044 OK scrap. Boogey looked like he got stunned by that first pop and was off his guard and balance the rest of the fight. He also had a nice shiner the rest of the game! Win has to go to Belak

Posted by ScottDaniels on December 23, 2008 at 02:10 AM

im liking this new rivalry

Posted by SCOTTSO on December 07, 2008 at 09:41 PM

BOOGAARD IS SO SUSCEPTABLE TO THE JERSEY JAB AND THIS TIME BELAK PUT HIM BACK ON HIS HEALS WITH A GOOD ONE.

Posted by bruins rule on December 07, 2008 at 09:29 PM

have to give belak the slight edge in this fight.he stands up very well against boogaard.

Posted by PredsFan189 on January 23, 2009 at 12:36 AM

Belak more than makes up for their previous fight with this one. That first jersey jab might as well have been a straight left. The Boogeyman is going to need to visit his Chiropractor after that whiplash. Not much else connected, but that first one definitely left a mark. Solid win for Belak.

Posted by blackgoldfan on December 08, 2008 at 10:36 PM

RUBBER MATCH! Belak wins the series 2-1!!!!!. Interesting to see how belak will do against some of the other champ contenders. the boogey man seems to be winning a lot less this year...

Posted by rocky 1 on August 02, 2010 at 07:08 PM

Belak again gets the better of the Beast. If Bogey ever lands good night!

Posted by cmshort11 on December 08, 2008 at 12:13 AM

Give it Belak

Posted by hank65 on December 07, 2008 at 11:58 PM

Belak fights boogaard like BGL, he throws rabbit punches and runs. Belak and BGL got boogie in athleticism, not fighting. Godard has beaten boogaard once, maybe, with a headbutt. The last time brashear tried to fight boogie he kissed boogie's skates about 1/2 second into the fight. Boogaard with the win only because Belak ran the whole the fight.

Posted by giefs on December 08, 2008 at 11:12 PM

Not even a fight.....lame

Posted by DMaximus on December 08, 2008 at 01:44 PM

crap fight, nothing happened, thus it's a draw

Posted by Oil Can Henry on December 08, 2008 at 10:14 PM

Crappy fight - draw. Boogaard looks worse every time I see him. He's got the weight / he's got the height - he needs to start throwin' punches.

Posted by tim daddy on December 08, 2008 at 10:37 AM

nothing heavy really landed, draw

Posted by wildguy12 on December 08, 2008 at 03:19 AM

Belak win this scrum. Boogie hasn't looked as agressive this year.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on February 21, 2015 at 01:44 AM

Belak got the better of Boogaard in this lame scrap.

Posted by chad420 on December 09, 2008 at 03:49 PM

nice jersey jab

Posted by troyt on December 08, 2008 at 01:50 AM

ok, im a huge wild fan and Boog fan! But the win goes to Belak. I dont understand all the Boog haters or people voting with heart and not eyes.I said before any Heavy Weight can beat any Heavy Weight any givin time. If ya look Parros, BGL,Godard all lost fights this year!

Posted by Daave on December 07, 2008 at 08:06 PM

Belak popped him with a small left early, but after that apparently nothing else landed. Neither guy wanted to get in the way of the other guy's fist...I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Boogaard went off for repairs. For that reason, and for looking slightly more in control, I give a slight edge to Belak; could also call it a draw though...

Posted by kitcarnut on December 08, 2008 at 10:24 PM

After tasting belaks jab boogieman ran back into the closet. Not too impressive boogie

Posted by bam932 on December 07, 2008 at 10:58 PM

Belak with the win.
