A draw not worthy of the 6.9 rating currently being given.

Posted by wannago on November 16, 2008 at 11:37 PM

draw between two grinders.

Posted by Gunslinger on November 16, 2008 at 12:51 AM

Carcillo I like, Ott not so much. What this has to do with anything, nuthin'. A draw cuz I 'm too tired to type Carcillo.

Posted by knuckles25 on November 16, 2008 at 04:21 AM

steve ott is a wiesel...i always hope he gets puched out but he's a fiesty dude goin draw for ovedrall damage done

Posted by PA232 on November 17, 2008 at 01:05 AM

Ott early, Carcillo late, not a bad scrap.

Posted by nighthawk walt on November 16, 2008 at 11:56 AM

ott was better in the early going, carcillo came on at the end to earn the draw.

Posted by renaudh on November 16, 2008 at 03:17 AM

Best punches for Carci but a draw

Posted by Juha82 on November 16, 2008 at 08:04 AM

Ott did better job as u can expect against tougher. Ott early Carcillo late=DRAW.

Posted by Franchise on November 16, 2008 at 04:13 PM

Draw. Both got in some shots, but not enough garner a win.

Posted by pens08 on November 16, 2008 at 04:42 PM

ott early and carcillo came on late before the linesman moved in too early. otts sprained ovaries must have healed he actually fought someone

Posted by alsport on November 30, 2008 at 03:45 PM

Ott landed a lot more punches than did Carcillo but Carcillo's did more damage. A lot of Carcillo's early blows hit Ott's helmet. It would have been a lopsided victory for Carcillo if he'd been able to get Ott's helmet off.

Posted by staceyb on November 16, 2008 at 07:04 AM

Too close to call, though Carcillo's left stunned Ott. If I'm Paul Holmgren, I'm trading for Carcillo yesterday. The Flyers need a more reliable heavyweight and he would fit the bill.

Posted by tstack on November 16, 2008 at 11:06 AM

Liked the tale of the tape graphic that came up. pretty good scrap too close to call for me...

Posted by skottep on November 16, 2008 at 11:34 AM

Good fight. Only advantage I saw was that Ott still had his helmet on.

Posted by LittleWildBear on November 17, 2008 at 08:02 PM

pretty nice fight

Posted by Heyzeus on November 18, 2008 at 06:19 AM

haha Wow, is Ott really that hated? At best a draw for Danny boy..Good scrap by both..

Posted by BWeen on November 17, 2008 at 09:58 AM

Ott was busier and had good control of Carcillo against the boards, but that LEFT was crafty and definitaly landed flush on Ott's chin. WIN OTT

Posted by blazers76 on November 16, 2008 at 05:00 PM

Very surprised to see Carcillo get 60% of the vote. I know most don't like Ott, but that is ridiculous. Looked like Ott landed the better shots.

Posted by Peej on November 16, 2008 at 10:55 AM

Close. Edge to Ott.

Posted by Tony Esposito on November 15, 2008 at 11:54 PM

Ott was aggressive and it seemed to pay off for him. Slight edge to Ott.

Posted by Bear72 on November 16, 2008 at 09:56 AM

good bout very evenly faught

Posted by mullet33 on November 16, 2008 at 01:56 PM

I saw in HD - not sure what you guys were looking at - Ott took it to Carcillo - only probelm is he let up at the end and got brushed with a left hand - refs shouldn't have stepped in so soon - Carcillo nees to get back to the gym...

Posted by 5 for fighting on November 16, 2008 at 02:29 AM

I dont know how people vote carcillo the winner here when he obviously did not beat ott. people on here are voting on carcillo just because they hate steve ott. ott landed the first bomb of the fight and landed more punches. carcillo got in a good left which ott answered with a good right just before the linesman jumped in. ott with the win. good fight.

Posted by cmshort11 on November 19, 2008 at 11:23 PM

Ott won dont hate

Posted by Behn Wilson on November 16, 2008 at 10:14 PM

Carcillo wanted it more. Ott got clumsy. I did like Carcillos decision to keep throwing as the refs were coming in, rather than resting on the laurels of that last suprise left.

Posted by trpaulson on November 16, 2008 at 02:11 PM

Carcillo connected with the harder stuff. Decent fight.

Posted by mrunohoo on November 16, 2008 at 12:06 AM

I hate it when the linesmen jump in when it's still going. That could have been interesting.

Posted by Poop Jack Pappy on November 16, 2008 at 12:27 PM

Slight edge to Carcillo for landing the one short left. Winner Carcillo

Posted by Sasky001 on November 16, 2008 at 05:51 PM

Hard to chear for either of these clowns. It is too bad that the refs stepped in as soon as Ott started losing.

Posted by JETTA KNIGHT on November 16, 2008 at 01:46 PM

carcillo.

Posted by BROWN - KOCUR on November 17, 2008 at 09:48 PM

Nice left late by DC. Best punch of the fight.

Posted by Towmater on November 16, 2008 at 04:15 PM

Smart fight by Carcillo

Posted by Cough on November 17, 2008 at 11:23 AM

Ott is a cheap shot punk. I can't believe that he actually stood up and fought.

Posted by Johnny8242 on November 19, 2008 at 03:22 PM

Okay Carcillo hit a few huge ones.

Posted by Jellyczar on November 16, 2008 at 09:14 AM

Carcillo was patient and fought the better fight.

Posted by Maxwerm on November 18, 2008 at 01:33 AM

Every time Ott gets punched in the face, an angel gets its wings.

Posted by bgbdbrew70 on November 16, 2008 at 12:50 AM

very close ott took a couple bombs at the start.

Posted by yzermaneely on November 17, 2008 at 01:54 PM

What morons were the 14.4% who gave Ott the win. Memo to you: Winning a fight and being an @$$ are totally different things. I'm glad to see Ott finally step up.

Posted by JasonO on November 18, 2008 at 02:27 PM

So...Ott fought Carcillo? Was Janet not available?....IMO, Dave Strader is one of the best play by play announcers in the sport. Total class act.

Posted by flyfighter on December 05, 2008 at 02:57 PM

Carcillo wins! nice left.

Posted by thegoods on November 22, 2008 at 08:16 AM

Carcillo got stronger as this went along.

Posted by shrk33 on November 17, 2008 at 12:29 AM

As much as Ott usually sucks, he did much better than his usual crappy bouts where he gets handled rather easily.

Posted by jbaker3924 on November 16, 2008 at 09:14 AM

Good fight.

Posted by SirYohans on November 16, 2008 at 08:46 PM

Very slow start here by my boy Carcillo. But he finally gets regulated and begins to land some very nice punches that won him this fight IMO. Props to Ott also for fighting a very good fight here. But Danny has improved tremendously, that's why I love the boy. BTW, I'm a fan of Steve Ott also, so this isn't a hate vote. Win Carcillo!

Posted by sj408 on November 16, 2008 at 03:28 PM

Win Carcillo. I could watch Ott losing a fight all day long. hate that cheap shot artist.

Posted by Sam1410 on November 16, 2008 at 01:53 AM

Good tilt, very close and several shots landed by both guys. I gave the edge to Carcillo for that nice uppercut and great left at the end. Up until then it seemed pretty even but I think Carcillo pulled it out at the end.

Posted by blackgoldfan on November 16, 2008 at 10:30 PM

good bout. carcillo with a slight edge for the "W". ott might want a rematch.

Posted by blues10 on November 17, 2008 at 02:34 PM

Nice fight. I gace the edge to carcillo for landing the better punches.

Posted by Thunder Cat 2 on November 16, 2008 at 01:19 PM

Strong fight, i really hate ott so i was glad carcillo get the best of him.

Posted by carcillofan on November 16, 2008 at 01:54 PM

Anyone who scores this a draw is an idiot. Carcillo destroyed him with a strong left and connected on many more punches. The only thing ott hit was carcillos helmet. Good fight, Carcillo wins.

Posted by bruins rule on November 16, 2008 at 09:52 AM

have to give carcillo the win in this close fight.ott finally dropped the gloves and stopped running like a little girl.

Posted by Jordybats99 on January 01, 2016 at 11:38 AM

Good fight. Slight edge to Carcillo.

Posted by hammer2003 on November 17, 2008 at 11:07 AM

Carcillo landed the better shots for sure. The uppercut followed by the surprise left hook won him that fight. Nice scrap.

Posted by plum29 on November 16, 2008 at 02:53 AM

you knew it was going to happen, this scrap. good fight, but Carcillo with the big left bomb and it looked like the 2nd half of the fight went his way. hate seeing the refs jump in so soon.

Posted by hordichuk420 on November 16, 2008 at 11:44 AM

Edge Carcillo for that uppercut.

Posted by IrishBrawler on November 16, 2008 at 12:45 AM

I called it a draw if anything a slight edge to Carcillo for finishing strong before the linesmen moved in too early. Carcillo has a nice bald spot on the top of his head huh?

Posted by BooSanta on November 16, 2008 at 07:29 PM

Just when Ott barely escapes that furious right uppercut, he gets clocked by the left. Punch of the fight and punch of the Night. Carcillo was losing it up to that point, but that punch alone gives him the win in a close fight the SHOULD NOT HAVE ENDED. Zebras stepped in way too quick there.

Posted by jlmcgui on November 16, 2008 at 08:43 AM

Ott is still a puss .... about time he fought his own battle.

Posted by DroppingTheGlov on November 16, 2008 at 12:48 AM

good fight

Posted by kimocoyote on November 16, 2008 at 12:43 PM

.Put it this way. Make them take off helmets and then fight or add 5 minutes. No helmets Ott is out. He was posing for the fans when Carcillo nailed him with the left. Most of these bad asses wouldn't drop the gloves IF they had to drop their "brain buckets." Outcome of this fight?. Carcillo went to the penalty box; Ott skated to the locker room and stayed there until the third period. Draw? Not by a long shot. Ott, Barch and Avery all "acted" like they wanted a piece of Carcillo, Ott finally had to put up. As for Barch and Avery 5 stars for acting like "bad asses" but they passed on Carcillo when he skated up to them and offtered to "dance.". Neither of them wants someone unless their back is turned. This fight was in front of me I was five rows from the ice. Ott put up a fight but no helmet and stand and punch and he would have been just like Barch was last year when he fought Carcillo. Ott is decent hockey player but he is acting as a fighter put him up against Gratton or Carcillo and no helmet no contest

Posted by MarCH on November 16, 2008 at 02:25 AM

Great fight! That tought to say, but I'll give the advantage for Carcillo! Ott gave some good jab, but Carcillo was more explosif and he gave more shot ^^

Posted by rootevan67 on November 16, 2008 at 09:32 PM

this was the fight of the night... i would have called it a draw but god job Daniel Carcillo for using your grpping hand to catch Steve off guard... nice uppercut too-great fight

Posted by tattooedkingpin on November 16, 2008 at 11:40 AM

Great fight. Thought Ott would get destroyed. he fought well. But Carcillo was just a tad better. that left shot to the face of Ott sealed the deal

Posted by clapper24 on November 16, 2008 at 03:13 AM

Draw, no one really got going

Posted by ling2212 on November 17, 2008 at 10:10 AM

I'll call that a draw, good fight, both players had some good shots.

Posted by HoboMaster on November 17, 2008 at 09:04 PM

I don't understand how anyone could say Carcillo won this. At best, it would be a draw. Ott landed more and better punches than Carcillo, who only had two real good hits. I blame the announcer on this video, who didn't say anything about any of Ott's early hits, but made a huge deal about that left that wasn't that great a hit.

Posted by sjovocop55 on November 16, 2008 at 10:42 AM

Way to go OTTER!!!!

Posted by claire alexande on November 17, 2008 at 03:21 PM

ott mistakes carcillo for reinprecht, actually tries to fight instead of running away like a little girl and gets beat.

Posted by azjim on November 16, 2008 at 09:12 AM

Carcillo adjusted during the fight and was able to switch hands.

Posted by eadamson on November 16, 2008 at 11:12 PM

Steve Ott only stays in this fight because he's using a less than courageous frontal-headlock strategy. Carcillo gets the edge because he overcomes this and pops Ott with a solid left near the end of the fight.

Posted by gmr133 on November 17, 2008 at 02:14 PM

GREAT sneaky left by Carcillo halfway through wins it. Why are the linesmen jumping in if they're still throwing 'em? Another minute and Ott would have been in serious trouble.

Posted by poopies on November 17, 2008 at 07:19 AM

I always smile when I see Ott get punched in the face.

Posted by chad420 on November 16, 2008 at 06:10 PM

DID I HEAR CORRECTLY....ott threw the first punch....aFNmazing,he did ok....DC w the win, nice left hook

Posted by thepolishkid88 on November 16, 2008 at 12:12 PM

Carcillo with some good hits to ott. It looked like ott was gonna take it at the start.

Posted by marinermoose38 on November 16, 2008 at 03:35 PM

This is a clearly dominating win for Carcillo, who almost knocked Ott out.

Posted by philabronc on November 16, 2008 at 07:52 PM

I love seeing Ott getting his butt kicked, no matter who it is against.

Posted by txsharkey on November 16, 2008 at 12:00 PM

Carcillo clear winner. I want to see Ott dropped like bag of wet sand but he continues to scrap.
