Now in case you are wondering...this fight was a 7... Huge size advantage and LUCIC uses it to his advantage ...Kudos to Glass for even attempting but we all knew were this one was headed.... Someone on here mentions they would like to see LUCIC and McQuaid go....me too.....but McQuaid has to lose his visor first, he can't even be considered here as legit....he predates the visor rule before any of you come on here to correct me..can't be the champ wearing a visor when you don't have to... Win and a score of 7.for Lucic
Glass does his job and challenges Lucic. Lucic, while not being to goal scorer of years past is a phenomenal fighter and a powerful puncher. Basically a TKO ..... Would love to see McQuaid and Lucic give it a go ..... Both guys throw punches and are not huggy bears.
No question, Lucic won the fight, but props to Tanner for hanging in there. Two tough guys, and a great display of sportsmanship after it was all done. Fights like this are great for the sport.
Mike Smith loves to play the role of tough guy, hiding behind his equipment and sacrificing a teammate to a beat down. He definitely should feel responsible for Tanner Glass getting hurt. Hope he had problems looking Glass in the eye after the game. The old Lucic, tough and antagonist, makes a second appearance in the season. Part of the reason he no longer scores goals is that he forgot what got him his outrageous contract. Good on Tanner for showing up. You could definitely see the fear in his eyes in the close-up at the face-off. Kudos to you for knowing your role, tough as it may be.
Glass swinging at air loses this one to Lucic. A 5 to Lucic
Tanner glass tried but the very predictable happened. Lucia easily handles glass
Funny reading these comments.......... you would think Edmonton was even relevant this year, Lucic finally gets on the scoresheet, all the enforcers are gone he should do this more, Glass, he is an AHLer.
I will never tire of watching Lucic beat on guys. Also love how he asked Glass was ok and good to go
I have always been a big fan of Glass. He takes on all comers but is out manned by Lucic. That being said, I am not a fan at all of Lucic, but he is a tough SOB.
Glass was simply giving too much away here, but did what he could. In a better NHL, you'd have a legit heavy to take on Looch--in a time when we had heavies. Then Glass could take on a Hendricks or someone at that level. At any rate. 5-6 of a fight with a win for Looch.
Glass steps up in class and takes a beating. Decisive win Looch.
After that beat down Tanner Glass must have been pining for those long bus rides in Stockton. Give him props, however; he answered the bell, but Lucic is still a beast.
Glass knew his job and so did lucic.no animosity ,lets just do this and get it over with .Lucic hurt glass with a right that left him leaking.at that point Lucic let up not wanting to hurt him worse but Glass continued and got beat up a little more! Good sportsmanship after as well!Glass always gives his best and sets example for how all players should play!
Love Glass but he's no match for Lucic. Win Milan.
As an Oilers fan, I wish that more players would poke our BEAR. When Looch plays with an edge, he's a force who is difficult to stop. I'm hoping that this translates into more goals for the bear because he definitely has heart and plays for his team. W for Looch, an E for effort and the BiG BaLLs award for Glass.
Smackdown on Smith then cracked the Glass well Glass wont be around next season
Great scrap! Kudos to both Lucic and Glass!
Don’t awake a sleeping giant. Hopefully, McLellan gets the boot and Oilers find a coach, who’s system utilizes a guy like Milan.
Glass gets busted open pretty bad, but hangs in there. Looks like Lucic let up a bit once Glass was leaking, which is a bit out of character.
Lucic of course. Pretty obvious. But it wasnt a GREAT Fight. Yea some hard punches were thrown but nothing Great. I'd like to give it a 5 1/2.
Lucic handled tough Tanner landing a big shot that created a sanguinary flow down his face before the bout was over. I don't recall seeing Tanner handled like that. I hope that he will be back in the NHL to keep the game interesting and exciting. Best wishes to Tanner, and all of the other tough guys being pushed out of the game.
Glass steps up to a big dog in defense of his goaltender and gains nothing but, teammate respect in this beat down. Lucic needs to play like he did against Calgary every night.
lucic all the way but good job by glass sticking in there lucic reaves would be a true heavy weight battle
Both of these guys are experienced fighters, but Lucic gets the lopsided win. Glass made the wrong choice of trying to get close and grab Lucic right away, he didn't set his hands and wasn't really ready for a throwing Lucic. As soon as Lucic got his right free that was it.
Loooooocccchhhhh, who voted for Glass?
Overmatched
not even close
Tanner will think twice about fight Lucic again and being used as a punching bag! Tanner is tough fighter but Lucic hits harder.
Taaaaaaaaaaner! My man!
How the hell did this get such a high rating??? I give it a 5 at most. As for the results of the fight, I'd put 100-1 odds Lucic would win and it was no surprise.
hard to judge this one except as domination. tko. lucic in 6?
All Lucic - no question about it. Almost feel bad for Glass for sadly attempting to finish what his goaltender Smith started.
lucic slapped around smith and then smashes glass whos eye was gushing blood. Easy win twice lol lucic is a different beast when he gets angry...lucic 10 and glass 1 lol
Well, Lucic adds another victim to his long list of beat-downs. Major leaking going on there with Glass ...
Lucic the pussy can’t wait for Thursday night when reaves beat the shit out of the “beat”. Yeah he’s a real bear that’s why he hide behind the refs after Colton Orr beat him up and he got so scared of George laraque
Glass is like, 4% of hockey fans will be stupid enough to say I won so it's worth it.
Still HeavyWeight CHAMPION NHL 2017-18
Now that's a decent fight boys! Glass actually landed one or two but Lucic lays heavy hands on the boy. Lucic and 7.
Fight shows how dominate Lucic is against smaller opponents. Props to Glass for standing up for teammate. Honestly thought the fight would be closer because Glass gave McQuaid all he could handle.
Glass gets the decision for beating up Lucic's fists with his face.
This was close to a TKO for Looch. Lucic is in a company of 2 when it comes to heavyweights in today's NHL...him and Reaves. And therein lies the problem with the existence of these players in the league. There is simply no one around to fight them, and their value is greatly diminished. .
Goalie acted like a tough guy and Glass paid the price for it
Devils advocate says it all. Only 2guys I give a 10 to in the nhl right now.
Today Lucic is the best fighter in the league
Smith did better than Glass. Lopsided win for Lucic who wouldn’t have done f-all if Stewart, Gazdic, or Prout had been dressed. Typical Gulutzan imbecile-level “asset” management to sit Stewart who was actually available. Enjoy five more years of that idiotic contract, Greaser fans!
