Kassian is now officially 1 and 99, as he gets a quick punch in on the middleweight.

You do not pick a fight UP 7-2 !! Hockey rules...... but I guess the bald one does not get alot of ice time up there in icicleville. At least the Oilers suck,

Posted by 99greatestever on December 13, 2017 at 06:55 PM

careful what you wish for Dubinsky....

Posted by Richterfan on December 13, 2017 at 06:29 PM

Idiots on this board jumping on Kassian for this fight. Dubinsky was running Oilers all night Kassian does the right thing and makes him answer for it. He also waited for Dubs to get the gloves off first. Great job by Kassian in this one! GREAT JOB! Anybody who criticizes Kassian here should be banned from this sight as their lack of knowledge is exposed here.

In a fight like this when a player is obviously injured from the get go and has his head down the other guy (kassian) should hold back and not keep throwing punches. This is not kassian first fight he should know better and stop immediately.

2nd fight of the game....kassian challenged dubinsky and he accepted but was a little bit too slow with his grip on kassian.kassian hurt him with his 1st left...tko win kassian and 3-4 was there a reason why kassian picked dubinsky over foligno? edit: dubinsky got broken orbital.no surprise though

Posted by bbout2c on December 13, 2017 at 05:12 PM

next time Brandon, if you want to play the part of a fighter " LEARN HOW TO FIGHT"

Posted by jerry s on December 14, 2017 at 06:34 AM

dumb move by Dubinsky should have turtled before the face off lol

Posted by von_swine on December 14, 2017 at 10:47 PM

glancing blow by Kassian turns Brandon's cheekbone into peanut brittle in a 'must see to believe' injury... it was quick, but it put the dude on IR so, no jokes here... #44 FTW

Posted by BennyD on December 13, 2017 at 09:47 AM

Is that his 1st win? W for Kass and a 3.

Posted by web1350 on December 13, 2017 at 08:42 PM

As much as I hate to see someone seriously injured, if it's gotta be anyone, I'm glad it's a$$hat Dubinsky. And BTW Great Murray, what fight were you watching? Kassian didnt jump Dubinsky they dropped the gloves simultaneously.

Posted by CBJFANJIM on December 14, 2017 at 12:42 PM

I admit to being to being biased toward the Jackets, but I can't figure out how 4.7% voted Dubi won this fight.

Posted by bigmike53 on December 13, 2017 at 09:10 PM

Dubinsky gets caught and is completely overwhelmed in this one sided beatdown. Easy win Kassian.

Posted by herotosucara on December 13, 2017 at 12:58 PM

Looked like Dub forgot Kass was a southpaw. Paid the price

Posted by stovepipes on December 13, 2017 at 02:19 PM

Dub running guys all night kassian ask him to answer he does first off with the gloves and takes a beating

Posted by omorales on December 14, 2017 at 11:50 PM

Kassian

Posted by SeaCloutierFan on December 14, 2017 at 11:15 PM

I miss Kassian in Vancouver. I didn't see the game but Dubinsky clearly bit off more than he could chew here. Dropped the gloves first and had a side of his face shattered in milliseconds. Probably the most dominant fight I've seen in a long time in hockey.

Posted by BlueJacket Jay on December 17, 2017 at 10:26 AM

Hindsight always 20/20. This was not a good fighy for Dubi to take. It hurts immediately and for the next 6-8 weeks for the fractured eye orbital. Kassian absolutely tags Dubi with a straight left to the face. Dubi is usually an excellent scrapper, but this was understandably finished with Kassian big punch. Will there be a rematch? I would expect a good one regardless of the result. Kassian obvioisly has this one.

The pussy Dubinsky got exactly what he deserved. Great job by Kassian. I'm sure Torts will jerk Dubinski off after the game to make him feel better

Posted by tacomania on December 15, 2017 at 01:30 PM

whoa to slow joe, foligno wanted his butt kicked too

Posted by Nystrom_23 on December 14, 2017 at 04:17 PM

Ouch! Usually one hates to see a guy get busted up like that, but since it was Dubinsky, I don't really mind it so much after all.

Posted by DaddyFist on December 16, 2017 at 09:07 PM

Ooooooo haaaaaard quick lefts baby

Posted by legend22 on December 17, 2017 at 10:44 PM

4.3...what fight are you people watching....1 at best

Posted by WhyGo77 on December 13, 2017 at 06:17 AM

One, hard and effective left was all it took. Kassian with the TKO victory.

Posted by Biggus on December 13, 2017 at 05:14 PM

Kassian gets the quick left in here and does some damage. Not as quick or dramatic as Bieksa has been pulling off, but still effective.

Posted by claire alexande on December 14, 2017 at 12:46 AM

Kassian is an even bigger POS with the Oilers than he was with the Canucks. Going for a guy with a minute left in a one-sided game and keeping swinging when a fluke shot injures Dubinsky is about his style. He hasn't done this much damage to an opponent since he took out that tree in Montreal with his truck.

Posted by surfmaster69 on December 13, 2017 at 12:34 PM

Kassian works the heavy bag for some exercise. Beat down where Dub doesn't even protect his face

Posted by rocky 1 on December 13, 2017 at 01:50 AM

What the hell was that. Complete mismatch!

Posted by jonahbuxton on December 13, 2017 at 11:54 AM

tko

Posted by nait on December 13, 2017 at 12:12 PM

Dubinsky dropped the gloves first so not at all an instigator. Refs got it right 5 each

Posted by dogginit on December 13, 2017 at 08:56 AM

Classy Kassian,,,on a classy oilers team.... I notice he fights alot more now that the real fighters are all in the AHL

Posted by Vito514 on December 13, 2017 at 01:44 AM

This also escalated quickly...kassian got him right off the bat. Too quick. The rest was just beautifull.

Posted by bigpucks on December 14, 2017 at 04:58 PM

Great seeing DUMBinsky get his head knocked it

Posted by EK65 on December 13, 2017 at 01:30 PM

Dubinsky gets his orbital bone broken by a massive left by Kassian. Dubinsky plays a toe the line in your face style and tonight he paid the price for it. Fast healing for the relatively skilled yet annoying Dubinsky.

Posted by upyours on December 13, 2017 at 11:50 PM

Dubinsky likes to run opposing skill players and gets his face rightfully pasted. Surprised this didn't happen sooner, but Dubinsky more likely to drop 'em with a Crosby than a Kassian. Now we see why.

Posted by Spinner55 on December 13, 2017 at 10:14 AM

Foligno wants to go with Kassian, but Kassian had Dubinsky in his sights. Kassian followed the fighter code by holding up on Dubinsky once he knew he was hurt. Hopefully, Dubinsky is not as injured as he appeared. The Columbus broadcast crew are completely objective in their breakdown of the fight, yeah right.

Posted by Mounty in NC on December 14, 2017 at 04:28 PM

If Kassian wanted to be a big man he would have gone after Folignio.... there will be another game and Kassian better watch his back

Posted by raversnet on December 13, 2017 at 10:23 AM

Dubinsky ran 3 Oiler players which led to this fight. Dubs drops the gloves first and gets owned.

Posted by Humper on December 13, 2017 at 11:28 AM

It looks like Kassian's first shot did the damage and stopped any response from Dubinsky.

Posted by Daysofcoleco on December 13, 2017 at 05:13 PM

Assian was incensed that Dubinski turtled first. Big mistake.

Posted by jcholmes on December 13, 2017 at 06:26 AM

Dubinsky turtles and bleeds, once a Ranger, always a Ranger.

Posted by Great Murray on December 14, 2017 at 06:30 AM

Kassian jumps Dubinsky and pretty much just beats him up. It was really pretty lame chit. I thought Kassian had more class than that. His team was winning the game 7-2 with 1:35 to go and he needed to pound someone??? A pretty sorry performance all in all. I must have missed the part about Kassian showing any class at all. He wants a fight that late in the game against a non-fighter. Then he keeps pounding on him WELL AFTER IT WAS CLEAR Dubinsky was injured. Foligno was a willing combatant but Kassian wanted no part of that. The Blue Jackets paid the price for not having Boll on the ice. If the Blue Jackets see Edmonton again they need to even this score. Old School...send some grinders after McDavid for the whole game. Torts would do that too. Not a fan of these teams but I will watch that one.
