Not much of a fight here, Schaller was out of his League but Kudos to him for Taking up for a Team mate after a Dirty and Dangerous hit. Win for Gudbranson, and Barely a 2 on the scale, Total Shame Quaider was not on the ice for that

Posted by von_swine on October 20, 2017 at 03:58 AM

ok, note to Timmy Schaller; when a guy that's 60 lbs. heavier than you are DESTROYS one of your teammates on a boarding penalty, you don't 'challenge' him to a brawl... you instead implement what's called a 'Pearl Harbor' attack, ala Chris Nilan.. what would Stan Jonathan do?... #44 FTW

Glad that he stepped up for Vitrano, but probably should have let Chara at him instead.

G man takes out 2 Cubs with one play. And maggot-mouth Edwards cries like the bitch he is.

Gudbranson with the win. Dangerous hit. Wish chara got in there. Gudbranson I don't think would do to well against chara, but who knows. Should bring up Tyler Randall, he can do some damage and kid can score.

Major credit to Schaller for stepping up. Way out of his leauge and Gudbranson knew it.

Posted by NAILS13 on October 21, 2017 at 11:26 PM

Guber got the better after a bullshit hit. Number taken and Quaider will be back.

Posted by GoonVisor on October 20, 2017 at 01:29 PM

If Timmy had just stayed in the gloves for another second. Chara was headed in to make it a potentially more sporting tilt. Good on him for going in for a predictable beating. 3

If you want to play kids hockey and turn your numbers when your behind the net you get what you get., Looked like a good hit to me. Gudbranson then beat the skates off schaller who was lucky he wasn't killed. Boston is SAWFT

Well Gudy wins the fight but loses the game for his team. Not much of a bout but give the nod to Gudbranson in a 4 bout.

Posted by jerry s on October 22, 2017 at 06:26 AM

good job for schaller the fight stopped at the right time for him not to get a real beaten

Posted by komet71 on October 21, 2017 at 08:03 AM

Somebody should have tuned up Gudbranson for the boarding. Credit to Schaller for couldn't really do much.

Posted by daveb63 on October 20, 2017 at 12:20 PM

Result of a bad hit on Frankie V. Shaller had to fill the card like a good teammate.

Posted by geroy16 on October 20, 2017 at 05:13 PM

Should have let Chara in there, but guy wants to endear himself to the team and stay in the lineup. I dont see why people think either Chara or Mcquaid were going to really make Guddy pay. He's a big guy and knows how to throw, could get a win over either of them aswell. I hope some fireworks go down in Feb when they play again. I'll be the one saying I told you so when Guddy beats up another bruin.

Good on Schaller for doing the right thing taking on a much bigger and more experienced fighter...

Posted by Humper on October 20, 2017 at 03:24 PM

Schaller was obliged to challenge, and he did. Gudbranson was obliged to give him a thumpin', and he did.

Posted by demonhead6 on October 23, 2017 at 02:10 PM

Big time mismatch. Schaller get's his arse handed to him.

Posted by Wooly on October 21, 2017 at 11:46 AM

The bigger man won, props to Schaller for stepping up

Posted by jonahbuxton on October 23, 2017 at 02:16 AM

is this a tko? looked like a mercy kill

Posted by Daysofcoleco on October 20, 2017 at 10:13 PM

Gudbranson took it easy on him.

Posted by Serpentor52 on October 27, 2017 at 08:33 AM

They weigh the same. Don't F with Gud

Gudbranson heretofore to be known to me as The Sleeper... makes Schaller pay for trying to be tough

Posted by rocky 1 on October 26, 2017 at 01:39 AM

Gudbranson with a dirty dirty hit.Schaller a non fighter coming in to stick up for his team mate but loses in a so so fight!

Posted by Lucic_Power on October 21, 2017 at 09:00 PM

I'm a huge Bruins fan and Gudbranson would have beat Chara too.

Posted by EK65 on October 23, 2017 at 12:54 PM

Schaller steps up against a Gudbranson. Unfortunately for him he ends up on the worse end of things. Still, great job to answer for the hit. On a side note, Z came charging in. I wonder if he would've fought Gudbranson or just do the Big Z tackle.

Posted by defusious on October 20, 2017 at 09:57 AM

The win goes to Gudbranson here, but good to see the much smaller and less experience Schaller standing up for his teammate.

Posted by powerforward92 on October 20, 2017 at 12:41 PM

job for Big Z was done wrong by Schaller...

Posted by bonvie_coupal on October 20, 2017 at 10:43 AM

Schaller took a beating.....Gudbranson's wallet will probably take a similar beating from the league for the hit. Good for Schaller for stepping up....and for getting his one fight/year out of the way early in the season.

Posted by Imarabhata on October 20, 2017 at 02:16 PM

Total domination by Big E. shoulda been Charas fight. Schiller got in too soon.

Posted by DARCY T on November 22, 2017 at 02:51 PM

i havent seen big gudbranson fight in about a year gudbranson boarded vatrano and schaller made him drop his gloves but schaller doesnt have reputation for punishing other players.he didnt do so badly though.it was a close fight but it looked like schaller was short of breath at the end and gudbranson took it easy on him...edge gudbranson and 5

Posted by FaxCap on October 20, 2017 at 04:44 PM

Good on Schaller for stepping up but out matched here. Bigger, stronger man in Gudbranson. Win Gudbranson

Posted by Puckstopper30 on October 21, 2017 at 10:07 AM

Gotta love Schaller for taking on a bigger guy for a dirty hit...but the clear win to Gudbranson on the fight. Win to Schaller for balls.

Posted by Great Murray on October 20, 2017 at 08:01 AM

Bad hit...gonna cost Gudbranson. Shaller does it right and gets smoked by the much larger, tougher guy. Let's see the Boston moronic voting machine try to turn this into a win/draw for Schaller.

Posted by ironbar44 on October 20, 2017 at 09:16 PM

beat down

Posted by FreeBronson on October 21, 2017 at 09:15 PM

AND HERE COME THE PRETZELSSS!!

Posted by squarepizza on October 24, 2017 at 11:01 PM

Dirty hit by Gudbranson. Glad Schaller stepped in a stood up for his teammate.Trash fight all around. Dirty hit then he couldn't even land any on the outmatched Schaller. SMDH. Kudos to Schaller

Posted by travist on October 20, 2017 at 12:25 PM

good on the smaller Schaller after Gubra's questionable hit.

Posted by edwardraffoni on October 20, 2017 at 03:53 PM

Good to see Schaller stick ufor another non fighter. Schaller is definitely not a seasoned fighter. Give him credit for trying. He did what a good teammate is supposed to do.From what 've seen Vitrano isn't much of a fighter either. That's probably why Godzilla gave him a dirty hit from behind. I doubt if Mr.G. would have the balls to hit Lucic or Simmonds from behind like that.

Posted by Jaxman2002 on October 20, 2017 at 12:33 PM

I am sure Gudbranson will circle Saturday, Feb. 17th on his calendar...I know McQuaid will.

Posted by Jack DeHammer on October 20, 2017 at 12:50 AM

Bruins import learns don't turn into d boards d hard way den unlucky closest guy steps up n gets smacked but does deserve credit for stepping up - mmmbop bop bop mmmmmbo...n d rest

Posted by Teej22 on October 20, 2017 at 09:25 AM

It doesn't really matter how this one went. Schaller the much smaller non fighter went after Gubranson for a cheap hit on his teammate. Taking a lumping for a friend is just as good as giving one. Good for Schaller. Gubranson may get the flu next time he plays Boston or he may have to go with Miller or McQuaid.

Posted by bigmike53 on October 20, 2017 at 05:17 PM

Good to see Schaller step up after the hit on his teammate. Gudbranson gets the narrow win here.

Posted by BruinsAllDaySon on October 19, 2017 at 08:10 PM

Not much emotion here, both guys just going through the motions as Schaller responds to a hit from behind. Gudbranson jersey jabs and gets a couple top of the head shots in to get the W in a relatively uneventful 4.

Schaller schools this nuck back to the stone ages. *Who else reviews, and votes on fights before they see them?
