hey kid 61..kinda like your pretending to know how to spell?

Prout is "farm strong", but Gudbranson is a monster. due to the reach and controlling Prout, will give Gudbranson the edge

Posted by Humper on February 27, 2016 at 07:26 PM

Gudbranson not only landed a fair number of shots of varying significance, but Prout really failed to do anything.

Gudbranson takes on someone in his weight class. This is new.

Gudbranson with a surprising win over one of the toughest enforcers currently in the NHL.

I am shocked that Prout didn't fair better. He could have bumped up the intensity and pushed the action. Big G had no problem with him.

it's very rare to see gudbranson fighting somebody not below his weight class.i tought prout would crush him but he was safe with his reach advantage and managed to land a couple insignificant shots while on the other hand prout's arms seemed to be way too short as well as came his punches.he wasnt able to do anything...edge gudbranson and 5

Prout calls in the refs like a bitch after being manhandled

Posted by moneybags on February 28, 2016 at 06:14 AM

Gudbranson aggressor landed more

Posted by Burrill on March 01, 2016 at 08:53 AM

E Gud held Prout at bay while using short overhand jabs, thrown with speed without power or follow through... he could have wrecked DP

Posted by shawn46 on February 29, 2016 at 10:32 AM

The brown Prout sets hooked and landed.... He did put up a nice fight but he's the one who didn't get away....

Posted by doctorvegas on March 01, 2016 at 05:37 PM

unanimous decision for dudbranson

Posted by bigmike53 on February 27, 2016 at 11:40 PM

Gudbranson gets a good grab to start this scrap off. He then uses his reach to keep the very tough Prout at bay. Prout had no answer and Gudbranson gets the nod.

Posted by fightingiswrong on February 27, 2016 at 06:37 PM

Gudbranson used to take off his helmet before every fight, and make his opponent do the same, before they engaged...... those were more fun. Prout may have been killed in this fight, however, had they gone that route..

I am a Prout fan but I give it to Gubranson for landing more meaningful shots

Clear win for Gudbranson over Prout.Surprise Surprise!

Posted by Great Murray on February 28, 2016 at 08:10 PM

Gudbranson landed several shots including three big ones. The must have caught some of Prout's Helmet or he would have been down. Heck of a fight they both need O2 after that. Good stuff.

Big victory for Gudbranson who (although it's only 3 fights this season) Has 3 pretty one-sided victories. (With this one being the most impressive) Call it an impressive 6 & Gudbranson

Posted by doobi1 on February 28, 2016 at 11:12 AM

Giving Prout a 5 spot for taking on the Jolly G, but a 6 overall because Gudbranson landed, then landed, and landed shot after shot and those were heavy shots for the WIN. Prout didn't waver and took all that was pounded into him. 6

Gugbranson with a win over a tough prout.

Posted by slysi on March 03, 2016 at 04:21 PM

very slight edge to Gudbranson . both guys had the desire but not much landed

Posted by CBJ Derp on March 04, 2016 at 03:46 PM

A very great fight sad that prout lost but it doesn't matter as there's always other fights

Posted by hok1n on February 28, 2016 at 01:13 AM

I say Prouts chin wins. He got hit a few times and didn't seem to mind it at all

Posted by Tougias24 on February 27, 2016 at 07:52 PM

Snooze fest

Posted by English_Bruin on February 28, 2016 at 03:57 AM

both tried but neither landed anything to write home about, scored it 3 and a draw

Posted by tacomania on January 12, 2018 at 03:39 PM

nothing here but a draw

Posted by lucic17 on February 27, 2016 at 09:02 PM

Gudbranson with the surprising victory. He landed some good shots in a decent bout. Great to see big, tough fighters throwing heavy haymakers. Kinda makes you miss the good old days.

Almost had to mark this as "domination". Prout, although wild-eyed, adds yet another L to his resume which boasts a sub .400 win percentage.

Posted by the kid 61 on February 28, 2016 at 11:29 AM

Prout didn't break his jaw. Prout is a pretender to the thrown. @mman2908, Thank you for pointing out my mistake. By the way, if you know what a thesaurus is, check to see if kinda is a word.

Prout is one of the toughest guys in the NHL and Gudbranson is one of the toughest guys in the NHL ...that nobody knows about. I've been saying since he came into the league that Gudbranson is going to be heavyweight champ in the near future. That may never happen, but the guy is big, mean, strong, knows how to fight and likes to fight. None of those punches hurt Prout, at all, and the fight was pretty much a draw, but I could see giving a win to Gudbranson here by a narrow margin. The completely one sided vote here for Gudbranson is ludicrous. Scores like that are meant for beat downs, which this fight was clearly not. Someone here mentioned Prout calling for Refs to step in and stop it. Never happened. Wishful thinking, though. New glasses?
