Not a big fan of Neil, but the guy is ageless whether you like him or not. Can't believe how long and how many fights this guy has had. 166 career fights??? The 166th one was dominate for sure.

Decent fight with Ole Punkinhead throwing more, landing more, and causing a bit of damage.

Ya gotta love Chris Neil AKA jack-o-lantern. Guys a great team player and can still chuck em. Don't whine ppl you would love to have him on your team. He cleans up the garbage.

I am Sabre boy and think this season might hurt Deslauriers' chance to make the Hockey Hall Of Fame.

Posted by Great Murray on February 17, 2016 at 07:53 AM

Buckethead puts serious beating on the Sabre. Gee...where was Evander Kane...oops he was doing his Allen Iverson imitation. Suspended for skipping practice...said he overslept. Said he went to the NBA All-Star game. Why would any hockey player get anywhere near an NBA basketball game. Isn't that why he got fired from his last job...skipping practice. Kane is a waste of space and will end up out of the game without getting anything done.

PUMKINHEAD JACOLANTERN FACE gets this one 4 sure love 2 hate him never thought id say it but willl b sad to see the old irish bum go

Posted by kkdowning on February 20, 2016 at 10:57 AM

Deslauriers is normally pretty good, but Ol' Pumpkin Head shows the youngster how it is done. Not a Neil fan, but I hope he gets to 1,000 games -- that would be a nice accomplishment for him.

Look at all those PIM for Neil. (2,416) He's been a warrior for a long time.

Got to love Neil, still doing the biz

Posted by first 6 on February 21, 2016 at 11:42 PM

Neil made the kid look like a jackass.

Posted by King of Goons on February 23, 2016 at 07:02 PM

I've been really impressed with Nicolas Deslauriers, as a fighter, but Pumpkinhead completely took him to school, here. He stayed inside and fed the kid right after right after right, ...until finally connecting right on the button and breaking the kid's snot box. After that, the kid basically had his heart snatched out and quit: "No mas." Neil shows the mark of a true veteran fighter and wins this one in dominating fashion. Deslauriers will be back, the kid is legitimately tough, but Neil gave him a solid, indisputable beating in this one-sided affair.

Good to see Deslauriers dropping the mitts again. Neil is a technically sound fighter and he bloodies Nic's nose and lip to take this scrap.

Posted by doobi1 on February 17, 2016 at 08:39 PM

Yikes, Neil really opened up the can on that one. Deslauriers didn't even get a chance. Cudos to Neil and the WIN.

Neil the last real enforcer!!!

Posted by Jordybats99 on February 27, 2016 at 12:04 PM

Decent fight. Edge Chris Neil.

Posted by Derv on February 16, 2016 at 10:56 PM

Hate the guy 'cause he plays for a divisional rival but kudos to him for still being able to beat younger, bigger dudes and still willing to do the job without cheating (ie., looking for an excuse to NOT fight).

Posted by devilsadvocate on February 16, 2016 at 09:27 PM

The old warrior's still got it! Neil FTW! Gotta tip your hat to Neil. The guy's about 95 years old, but still wins way more than he loses, and hangs in the league when bigger, faster, younger, fighters are all but extinct.

Posted by BeardedEhHole on February 16, 2016 at 09:08 PM

Some great punches thrown by both, but Neil clearly had the better bombs, threw more punches, and caused more leakage. Deslaurier clearly gave up halfway through the fight, but did connect with a couple good punches.

neil needs to stop showboating

Posted by bobafett5468 on February 18, 2016 at 04:53 PM

Chris Neil....not only does he know how to throw a punch or two he can put the puck in the net....

Posted by Mounty in NC on February 17, 2016 at 02:23 AM

Not very exciting but Neil is the clear winner.

Posted by SouthPaw017 on February 17, 2016 at 11:13 AM

You have to give some props to the Toothless Wonder, sadly he's one of the last of a dying breed in today's NHL.. Just one of those guys that you could smash (20) times in the grille, with a bat if you had one, and he would just smile back at you and keep coming. He's just plain old mean.

Posted by Richterfan on February 17, 2016 at 12:19 AM

Gotta love Chris Neil. The last of the old school fighters.

Posted by the kid 61 on February 17, 2016 at 05:07 AM

All u Neil haters out there, this guy just brings it every game. He slapped that frenchman around like a girl.

Posted by Walt on February 17, 2016 at 01:39 PM

Guys like Deslauriers really shouldn't look for fights against guys like Neil who have their sweaters specially fitted to free up their arms for throwing punches.
