I love the hatred and bad intent on those punches from both men. This was a highly entertaining fight and a close decision to Trouba.

Mutual underestimation quickly turns to collective surprise... as a couple of unexpectedly entertaining pugilists show some genuine animosity... in a free-swinging back and forth over the proper pronunciation of the "ou" sound

Now that wasn't what i was expecting from Trouba. Brouwer is always game for the odd scrap, but Trouba? Great fight for a change with all the lame ones we have seen this year. Thought Trouba had the edge.

Real good scrap by guys not known for the fighting skills.

Brouwer and his GAY PORN stash lost this one

Posted by ironbar44 on November 17, 2015 at 08:04 AM

BROUWER one of those guys i cant stand .he picks his spots/hes great at going after HICKEY in the playoffs but would not drop them with MARTIN

I like the old school "Stand back and exchange bombs" way this fight started out. I also liked the anger involved in the punches thrown here. I give a very slight edge to Trouba in a very entertaining scrap.

Trouba with the very close decision, he lands the best shot, a nice right at 0:15. Gave it a 6 for a spirited bout.

Posted by boldbilly on November 17, 2015 at 02:41 PM

Pretty good scrap here....scored it a 6 ....gave the edge to Trouba

Good heated scrap. Trouba with the edge.

Trouba with the decision over Freddie Mercury in a close and entertaining performance.

Tuba hits the right notes...

Posted by woolly mammoth on November 17, 2015 at 12:07 AM

Trouba played the tuba on Brouwer's face during a blues themed evening

This was like watching 2 welterweights. They threw a lot of punches. Good tilt. Not much landed...but they went at it hard. For not having much of this in their histories they both looked pretty good. I'd like to make it a draw but Trouba definitely dominated even if he didn't do a lot of damage. 6

A good spirited scrap. I give it to Trouba simply because he landed one or two more, especially that inside shot to the face near the end before Brouwer's helmet popped off.

more Wilson BS

Posted by destructdestroy on November 18, 2015 at 02:09 PM

No hard punches landed, both got glancing blows in, no damage done.

No slow dancing in this one....going right for it.

Posted by travist on November 17, 2015 at 11:06 PM

very close and very fun to watch.

I typically describe Brouwer as a sneaky good fighter, but Trouba with the edge in this entertaining fight

wow!! I think I just saw a fight at a hockey game?!?! I better layoff the cough medicine...

Suprising win for Trouba. Always like to see fights between players where there is a backstory and reason for the bout.

Slight edge to Trouba

Great scrap Trouba gets the better of Brouwer

slight edge to Trouba

Posted by theDC13 on November 19, 2015 at 12:05 PM

Trouba connected more, and with bigger bombs, but still a very close fight. Good job kid!

Posted by DARCY T on November 28, 2015 at 04:17 PM

i watched trouba couple times earlier this season and trouba seemed to me to play more physical and now i see that he practiced fighting as well.he fought only once in 13/14 and he was only 19 back then...good job jacob.i think he landed more than brouwer.trouba got the edge at least in early FOTY candidate

Posted by kitcarnut on November 17, 2015 at 04:03 AM

Brouwer is a tuff sob and Trouba stayed in the pocket :) and scored 1or2 more shots to squeak out a win. Watch out league cause once this kid gains some confidence and fightin experience, he's got a real nasty streak :) F'n Love it

good one

Posted by Jwbryce16 on November 16, 2015 at 09:35 PM

Trouba looking surprisingly good! Some bad blood there #taylorswift

Posted by doobi1 on November 17, 2015 at 09:31 AM

For this being the only bout of the evening, this one was a pleasing surprise. Agree with everyone that there was a very real animosity buildup that resulted in a free for all, swing for the fences scrap. Trouba had the slight edge in this on and gets the WIN.

Posted by Detroit_Caps on August 02, 2016 at 12:39 PM

In each of his bouts,Trouba lands several but rarely resulting in effect let alone damage. He's a great player but definitely needs to improbe punching power.

Posted by broface on January 31, 2016 at 03:55 PM

while Troy Brouwer held his own in this fight with a few good hits trouba still clearly won with an onslaught of punches.

Posted by gmr133 on November 19, 2015 at 01:21 PM

pretty even

Posted by FHgrad99 on November 18, 2015 at 04:45 PM

This was a good, spirited scrap. Neither guy was holding back. The Blues/Jets games have been pretty physical lately, so a fight between these two teams should come as no surprise. I gave this one a draw and a 7.

Posted by BruinsAllDaySon on November 17, 2015 at 12:43 PM

Good fight - went draw on it. Two guys that don't throw much? Can't recall seeing Brouwer on a fight card in recent memory.

Posted by Humper on November 17, 2015 at 06:25 AM

Trouba seemed to throw more shots so I'd give him a very marginal victory. There's nothing better than a pair of pissed-off guys with vengeance in their hearts to liven up this site!

Posted by The Mad House on November 16, 2015 at 10:00 PM

Hell of a scrap there! I know Trouba's fought once before but he looked like a season vet here Brouwer looked solid as well Both guys threw with bad intentions.. Which as we all know makes for the best scraps This may be the fight of the year thus far

Posted by Massive Coiler on November 16, 2015 at 10:04 PM

Finally, a really good fight. Not sure if either guy did enough for the win, so I'll call it a draw. Gotta love it when you see some hatred in the punches.

Posted by MichaelFlyers37 on November 16, 2015 at 11:51 PM

I don't like you guys anymore

Posted by Norm Peterson on November 16, 2015 at 10:12 PM

Trouba landed some.....Brouwer didn't......not sure how anyone can score this as a draw
