DRAW! Kelly the instigator, what else is new!

Posted by gsrae on January 16, 2015 at 01:34 AM

Pretty lame fight. Kelly with the win.

Posted by ironbar44 on January 15, 2015 at 09:41 PM

KREIDER got skills fighting just isn't one of them

Posted by Behn Wilson on January 16, 2015 at 01:59 AM

Not sure if the hit was due to sheer strength or lame cheapness but I'm with BigMike who always calls it like it is

Posted by boldbilly on January 17, 2015 at 12:10 AM

Kreider does too much of this crap......It's too bad that it is Kelly who tries to exact revenge because Kreider really needs a beat down badly.......win and kudos to Kelly for coming to the aide of a teammate ... Little weasel Marchand got away with that slew foot again talking about little pukes also overdue for a beat down.

Posted by Great Murray on January 16, 2015 at 09:52 AM

Kelly had mean intent but landed virtually nothing...it looked for a moment like Kreider was going to do a Matt Cooke and turtle. chit fight...but give Kelly the win in a 3 fight because he wanted to get it on.

Posted by BruinsAllDaySon on January 15, 2015 at 09:18 PM

My guess is Kreider hasn't been in many if any fights (haven't looked), but gets jersey jabbed to death and is leaking on the way to the box. Good job by Chris Kelly, didn't like the hit on Soderberg and went after a guy MUCH bigger than him. Win Kelly and 5.

Posted by DARCY T on January 22, 2015 at 02:12 PM

i dont think it was kreider's intention or fault.kelly tried to punish kreider for that with anger but kreider is bigger and kelly wasnt able to overcome kreider reach which he used as protection...draw

Posted by English_Bruin on January 16, 2015 at 11:33 AM

Was a dirty hit and Kelly took exception, he wanted to dish out a beat down but didnt land much apart from the punch at the start. I saw 54 hanging around in the scrum too :o

Posted by EdNo on January 16, 2015 at 03:56 PM

Kelly chucks many...doesn't land much... but Kreider comes away with the bloody mouth... so you gotts ta go with Kelly

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on January 16, 2015 at 02:10 AM

kelly!

Posted by EK65 on January 15, 2015 at 11:14 PM

Kreider with a dangerous hit on Soderberg Kelly takes exception and challenges Kreider Kelly takes the fight in a 4 Chris Kelly is the man.. Maybe not the most skilled guy, but, hell of a heart 2 fights in a national broadcast game? WHAT???

Posted by bigmike53 on January 16, 2015 at 12:48 AM

Kelly has guts, sometimes guts is enough. He steps up and jersey jabs his way to victory over Kreider.

Posted by Jellyczar on January 16, 2015 at 03:00 PM

Irish kelly wins...agree with bigmike

Posted by nait on January 15, 2015 at 11:06 PM

Dirty hit by Kreider, should have bear hugged and taken the 2 min. Instead takes a dirty and dangerous hit. If Kelly only did more then split his lip.

Posted by DuxDragons15 on January 16, 2015 at 03:51 PM

Love the spirit of Kelly, looks like he was yelling at Kreider and throwing punches at the same time!

Posted by bbruins358 on January 15, 2015 at 09:46 PM

Kelly always has his teammates backs and now 2-0 in fights this year.... Guy can throw hands

Posted by shawnrocks on January 15, 2015 at 11:22 PM

how can you not love kelly kreider didnt want to engage.

Posted by Orr Fourever on January 16, 2015 at 05:41 AM

I concur with BigMike.

Kelly did the right thing jumping and won the fight.

Posted by GoonVisor on January 15, 2015 at 10:32 PM

Who wouldn't want Chris Kelly on their squad?

Posted by doobi1 on January 16, 2015 at 02:32 PM

A jab win for Kelly, although he wanted more than that as revenge for a filthy hit by the, hard up to win one Rangers, Kreider the winner all the way. The jabs did connect as Kreider tried to hide his face. You know, if I looked like that, I would hide my face too.

Kelly jumps in for his team mate good to see the bruins protecting each others backs again that hit by kreider could have been much worse

Posted by dcmac on January 15, 2015 at 10:39 PM

Good for Kelly. Thats the type of hit that can cause a serious spine injury. Don't know what Kreider was thinking. Not sure how hard those body shots landed were, Kelly with the win. Almost think Kreider held back because of the type of hit and the shield.

Posted by dontpokeTheBear on January 16, 2015 at 01:17 PM

Very dangerous and avoidable hit by Kreider, Kelly did well but, wish Z or Looch got their first.

Posted by bubba24 on January 16, 2015 at 04:44 AM

Kreider gave the league an excellent example why the instigator rule breeds disrespect. Watch as he intentionally turned Soderburg by pushing just above his left hip to square him face first into the boards. No respect.

Posted by djsedna on January 16, 2015 at 06:34 PM

I think this fight is a little underrated. It certainly wasn't a heavyweight bout, but those "jersey jabs" from Kelly looked like they were actually hitting pretty hard. That combined with that furious shouting Kelly was doing and the anger in his eyes... passionate fight from a non-fighter taking on a guy who stands taller and weighs more.

Posted by bhamill on January 16, 2015 at 12:28 PM

Kreider should have held up. Good for Kelly stepping up, but this was a nothing fight. Kreider tried a few overhand rights that didn't reach and otherwise they jersey jabbed each other a little. Kreider got scratched on the chin, probably a finger or thumb nail during a jersey jab. Kreider is ridiculously strong and balanced, if he ever learned how to fight he'd be dangerous. Probably won't happen though, this aspect of the game is on life support as it is. Uneventful fairly boring draw.

Posted by Amerkfan8 on January 17, 2015 at 11:58 AM

The hit looked bad due to the circumstances. Props to Kelly for going right after Kreider. Gonna score this a draw.

Posted by lucic17 on January 15, 2015 at 10:16 PM

The consummate teammate, Kelly steps in as it should be. OK fight. Don't think Kreider meant to hurt Soderberg but a dangerous play nonetheless. Good to see a multiple fight game even if the results weren't too inspiring.

What do you get when a Chris takes on a Chris? Crap like this waste-of-time.

Posted by Mounty in NC on January 16, 2015 at 12:08 PM

Jelly jabs his way to a win

Posted by LetsBeHonest on January 24, 2015 at 10:00 PM

A 5 minute major all the way. This is the kind of hit that the league is trying to do away with. Good job by Kelly of doing what the Ref didn't, protecting the players. Slight edge to Kelly but wish it as someone who could have taught Krieder that there is no room for those type of plays in the game.

Posted by blackngold on January 15, 2015 at 10:40 PM

Thank God Soderberg and Eriksson at least have Kelly on their line otherwise they'd be toast.

Posted by kkdowning on January 17, 2015 at 10:24 AM

If Kreider knew what to do, he probably would have dominated. But it does not look like he does know what to do, so the jabs probably give the win to Kelly

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on January 24, 2015 at 12:53 AM

That hit deserved a beatdown, unfortunately Kelly isn't much of a fighter. I'm giving it to Kelly, but it wasn't really a decisive beating,

Posted by Jez-x on January 15, 2015 at 09:51 PM

Once again a Bruin steps up for his team.If you see Kelly's pearly whites he's mad,win Kelly.

Posted by gmr133 on January 16, 2015 at 11:09 AM

Edge Kelly, Kreider is developing a rep as a bit of a dirty player.

Posted by King of Goons on January 16, 2015 at 01:23 AM

Kelly gets the better of Krider in a lame fight after a cheap hit by Krieder. In the battle of Chris', Krieder gets to be Christine.

Posted by Hilaker on January 15, 2015 at 09:49 PM

Kelly gets the better of a non-fighter. Big deal.
