Man, THIS SITE IS FULL OF BRUINS HOMERS. Read the posts below. And Leaf haters. And Montreal haters. (Seems the Bruins fans can't handle their team not being the toughest now.) No, Komorov, the Euro did not win. It was a draw. Big surprise. Two non-fighters in a crap "fight". And the other Bruins on the ice wanted nothing to do with McLaren or Orr. Lucic and Thornton duck McLaren and Orr all game and the Bruins homers start talking about the "win" and the "game" and the "skill" rather than the fights (or lack of fight). LOL But the BIAS ON HERE MAKES ME SICK. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. It's like debating with a bunch of 12 year olds.

Posted by Behn Wilson on May 02, 2013 at 06:43 PM

For what it's worth Kelly in a non-event I'm just deletiously happy to be home however briefly which means being able to watch a minimum of three games a night "You guys don't know how good you've got it"

Posted by Dijo on May 02, 2013 at 11:51 AM

DRAW. Lousy fight between 2 guys who can't fight. Interesting that Kelly stops throwing punches and is content to keep Komorov in a headlock once Komorov starts throwing. I don't think he expected Komorov to throw any. Also, look at the top of the screen. There is no time left on the clock and a Bruin (don't know who) skates to the bench and Thornton comes flying on the ice. That's not legal is it? You can't have a line change when there's no time left on the clock. Thornton jumped on the ice. I guess he's lucky that he didn't get into a fight or he might be facing a suspension. Either way the Leafs sucked tonight and they were lucky it was only 4-1.

Posted by niftyweave on May 01, 2013 at 10:10 PM

Leafs are obviously pissed for playing like crap in game 1. Kelly landed the only good shots at the beginning. If you are dressing Orr and McLaren in the playoffs then you suck! Leafs got manhandled tonite all across the board and I don't even like the Bruins.

Posted by Boston Garden on May 01, 2013 at 09:59 PM

Komarov throws pillows. It looks like the Leafs are exposed after McLaren,Orr, and Fraser-it's all softies. Komarov would make a perfect Hab...all bark no bite.

Posted by scorp1on on May 02, 2013 at 10:18 AM

Homers... Meh... Draw, Kelly early K late.

Posted by fernben8 on May 02, 2013 at 08:53 AM

The fight was a Draw.... Komarov was trying but Kelly with the headlock. No harm done. Should expect more fisticuffs in game 2.

Posted by Jellyczar on May 02, 2013 at 12:21 AM

frustrated leafs will be golfing soon. Bruins out played and out hustled the leafs. kelly gets W with best punch.

Posted by bostondude on May 02, 2013 at 09:39 AM

What a joke the voting is on this fight. I guess Leaf fans & Bruins haters are so pissed about the Bruins domination that they'll show us all & vote Komarov the winner. So I guess punches to the helmet win fights now? Kelly with the only punches that did anything & the win.

Posted by Nos1226 on May 02, 2013 at 03:29 AM

I don't understand this site. Kelly landed the only punches that weren't to the helmet, and people still say Komarov won. What? I give this a slight edge to Kelly, who stopped throwing punches once the jersey was over Komarov's head. Do people really count love-taps to the back of the helmet to give someone the win? What bullshit.

Posted by bigsul513 on May 02, 2013 at 10:59 AM

Komarov actually threw punches, or at least tried to.

Posted by dustyknuckles on May 02, 2013 at 10:08 AM

hmmmm. gave it a DRAW being a leafs fan i'll admit we sucked . As for this fight ya I can respect kelly landed one maybe two punches tops then head locked. There fore in my mind doesn't deserve win I hate when people act tuff throw a quick shot for show then hug and look for safety from linesmen. Komarov yes may have taken a shot but the little bull dog didn't give up and kept going therefore do to one slap quick hug kelly and komarov atleast attempting to do something as smaller fighter i gave a draw. Sorry i know I'll be blasted saying draw was only cause your a leaf fan but I can't award a win for that crap. As a leaf fan I expected a better game or as a hockey fan i expected better fights in this game.

Posted by bruins34 on May 02, 2013 at 05:20 PM

Not much to choose from here. MAYBE a slight edge to Kelly for landing the closest thing to a clean punch, but you could just as easily say that Komonme was more aggressive so he gets it. Just kind of funny in a game with Fraser, Orr, McLaren, Thronton, Lucic, and McQuaid ended in the only fight between two non-fighters. Tough call for the Leafs. Not dressing their 4th line gives them speed, but toughness is a lot of what got them there. More brawls to come in game two early.

Posted by 777Big on May 02, 2013 at 04:35 AM

Two non-fighters..........Kelly makes Leo look like a fool......

Posted by fairfighter on May 02, 2013 at 04:00 PM

How is this even considered a fight? Kelly gave him a good shot in the beginning, then pulled his jersey over his head and Komarov was throwing love taps blindly. Kelly gets the W for the only actual punch thrown.

Posted by Langway on May 06, 2013 at 11:54 AM

Komarov finished strong for the win. Kelly got the first few shots in but since there are so many Boston homers on here he gets votes. Stupid.

Posted by mikebflorida on May 03, 2013 at 10:01 AM

The homers are out in full force. MUST DECLARE A WINNER from this garbage fight. If anything, it would be the Leaf who lands about 10 weak punches to the back of the head and helmet of Kelly. It's a draw though and hardly any draw votes. Shocking when it involves a Bruin. Sigh.....

Posted by brazos on May 02, 2013 at 11:33 AM

nothing to watch here, move along. Hug fest and no winner--------draw

Posted by flyerguy on May 02, 2013 at 06:51 AM

Lets get real here. If you dress Orr and McLaren in a playoff series, you deserve to lose. They both offer NOTHING skill wise.

Posted by fourpoints on May 02, 2013 at 07:58 AM

NHL PlayOff scraps of the surrent era?....land of the lightweights and "non-fighters" mysteriously coming out of the woodwork. . Heavyweights - gone! Average fight rating at playoff time - 3.5 or less. Voted winners? Who really cares? Give me the regular season !

Posted by staceyb on May 03, 2013 at 05:53 AM

McLaren wasn't out there to score a goal. If Randy Carlyle starts game two with Orr and McLaren on the wings then Julien will have to respond with Thorny and Campbell. It should be interesting. I

Posted by NSalBB91 on May 03, 2013 at 12:43 AM

Its this simple. Orr and Mclaren are NO McQuaid and Thornton once the playoff's come. Props to those 2 for being a part of Torontos road to the playoffs but they have absolutely no idea how a playoff game is played and will anchor the leafs down badly. Thornton has 2 cups and a shit load of playoff experiance and McQuaid has 5 series under his belt already. The lower line players on the leafs cannot skate with the Lower line players on the Bruins. They are gonna get dominated. Mclaren had a confrontation with Chara and Thronton in this game , also Thornton locked up with Orr, and if i had to guess , Thornton and Chara basically just let them know that they are useless now and if they try to fight they are out of their minds. If this was the Regular season , Orr and Thornton would have fought right there. Orr at the end displayed exactly my point by getting ejected , and it basically leading to absolutely nothing as far as motivation for his team.

Posted by srehm1 on May 03, 2013 at 08:57 PM

Not much here. Kelly with a few at the outset. Komarov with some shots to the back of Kelly's helmet and then it was broken up. With the all the toughness these two team possess, this is the fight we get?

Posted by The Mad House on May 01, 2013 at 10:19 PM

Not much going on here, Kelly lands the best shot but Komarov was much more active.. a draw. This is going to be a physical series...

Posted by kinga101 on May 02, 2013 at 12:26 AM

Nothing really landed solid by either, but Komarov with the much better effort to continue throwing even with his shirt over his head. Komarov the clear winner.

Posted by Great Murray on May 02, 2013 at 09:27 AM

This wasn't the fight we were hoping to see. I give Komarov the edge in a close one just because I know all the Boston homers here are going to go auto vote for Kelly...just like they did for Obama. (how's that working out for you?) It was probably a draw. It was good to see the Leaf's try to engage the Bruins. The Bruins showed a great deal of discipline and took it to the Leafs at both ends of the ice. Lucic and Thornton turned down Orr and McLaren several times. They are not afraid (tho' Lucic might be). They are smart. Why give Toronto a chance to change the momentum of the game.

Posted by OlKoot on May 02, 2013 at 11:43 PM

Komarov takes it on the strength of actually finishing the fight strong. Kelly fizzled out pretty quick.

Posted by olska on May 02, 2013 at 07:17 AM

Another win to an Euro. Canadians are so easy to beat.

Posted by fistycuffs on May 02, 2013 at 01:35 PM

Kelly's a wimp like the rest of the bruins. None of them have won a fight all year.

Posted by leafsfan234 on May 01, 2013 at 10:43 PM

Posted by the_bro on May 05, 2013 at 11:05 PM

Kelly didn't throw a punch, let alone drop both his gloves.

Posted by SouthPaw017 on May 03, 2013 at 12:39 AM

No one expected much here, and we didn't get much from two non-fighters... I have to go Draw, although Komarov was trying to be more active... I think Kelly stopped throwing because he had Komarov in a vulnerable position, with the headlock and shirt pulled over.... Kelly's a class guy, he just plays the game... It was good to see the B's actually look like they wanted to play, as the past few weeks have been brutal... Looking forward to an active series with the Leafs, who are just as tough, if not more, than Boston right now.

Posted by Madhouse27 on May 02, 2013 at 10:04 PM

Kelly stopped throwing when Kamarov's sweater was over his head.

Posted by iralustmanHF on May 02, 2013 at 04:31 PM

not much of a fight (3). komarov's taps to the back of the helmet at the end were worthless. Kelly landed one or 2 early and gets the win.

Posted by bigdog2007 on May 03, 2013 at 03:49 PM

9 years of failure and Leafs come up with THAT?? Hahahahahahahahahaha, Punks. Love the Laff jocksniffers who think Bruins should fight their pilons. Typical Leaf morons. Dressing McLaren Orreo and fraser is moronic. Good luck dummies. Hey...how did the Sens do? Bwahahahahahahaha

Posted by habssuck on May 02, 2013 at 09:27 AM

Kelly hit him Komarov beginning with a few good shots and Komarov hit the back of Kelly's helmet a couple times at the end. Hope this is the spark that explodes this series into a slugfest. Kelly clear winner of pretty crappy fight.

Posted by relkin on May 03, 2013 at 12:44 PM

Kelly lands the only punches not sure what the people who voted for Komarov are watching. Kelly wins the boring fight and Bruins dominate the game.

Posted by Strong54 on May 02, 2013 at 07:05 PM

kelly had a chance to land more punches and chose not to.

How anyone could call this pillow fight anything but a draw is beyond me. We really need some new, non biased members on this site.

Posted by Orr Fourever on May 02, 2013 at 08:17 AM

I give a slight edge to Kelly. With all the tuff guy's on the ice these two come out of the scrum swinging. I'm not complaining mind you but really. If your try'en to send a message for next game Thornton vs McLaren would have been sweet. JMHO @ Custombreaks Sharks win.

Posted by Bsfan1013 on May 02, 2013 at 05:16 PM

Kelly with the only punches that mattered. Komarov threw some noogies with his jersey wrapped around his head.

Posted by sndaysnipr on May 03, 2013 at 10:52 AM

Wow..Bruin fans voting their man up when he doesn't even throw 1 swing. Kelly belongs in the WWE with that headlock grip. Komarov with the win based on him trying to fight and at least throwing some swings with nothing landing.

Posted by rampart7577 on May 02, 2013 at 12:18 AM

Thats all we get!!! It looked like Bostons coach told them not to fight. Understand the reasoning; not entertaining for us. Hope things pick up for this series. Call a draw in a crap fight.

Posted by blaster on May 07, 2013 at 11:39 PM

I never knew you could win a fight by hitting Kelly's helmet, unless Komarov was taught a new fighting style by Orr. Win Kelly.

Posted by bigjcc526 on May 02, 2013 at 12:54 PM

Kind of a nothing fight, but Komarov landed alot of short punches, not just to the helmet either.Win for the Russian Missile. Bruins fans can't be objective which shows the lack of integrity the whole organization has. They have the most divers in the league (Seguin,Marchand,Chara,Krejci etc.) but accuse other teams of "embellishment". They'll beat the leafs, but will get their butts handed to them physically

Posted by MeatPlow on May 03, 2013 at 09:12 PM

Slight edge to Komorav For the aggressor. otherwise a draw for the Sadie Hawkins dance procedure? Bouli, i have decided to prescribe a 12 month supply of Midol.

How sweet for Bruins lapdog Sutherland to personally escorts #11 to safety, Talk about hiding behind the Refs skirt. The NHLOA should just wear Bruins jerseys to save any confusion.

Posted by bigdude on May 02, 2013 at 06:06 AM

Giving Kelly the win because of the only solid shot in the fight and the fact that the Leafs lost every other aspect of the game. I'm not sure if the Leafs got the memo before the game, but it ain't easy intimidating he Bruins.

Posted by HomeTownBruin on May 01, 2013 at 10:13 PM

all i saw there from the leafs at the end was poor sportsmanship but it was a great game

Posted by nait on May 02, 2013 at 07:31 AM

I don't know how anyone can see Komarov''s side. They lost game one and he keep hitting Kelly AFTER the game was over and went after one of the smaller guys on the team, and lost both integrity and the fight. his is just sad and if this is how the Leafs are going to play then they might as well just forfeit .

Posted by klebold on May 02, 2013 at 01:15 AM

Chris Kelly won. Those little love-taps to his helmet at the end are nothing, Chris laughed it off like... um.. what do I do here?

Posted by Dammit-Man on May 02, 2013 at 01:52 AM

Allday Machine Gun Kelly.....Big win for the The Big Bad Bruins

Posted by billkurtis31 on May 02, 2013 at 08:31 AM

Komarov was obviously frustrated after the lose..in fact from the secound period on the leafs got very chippy...theyve got a lot to learn about playoff hockey...oh and a pretty shit fight but ill give it to Kelly, his first few shots landed and almost all of Komarov`s went right into the helmet.

Posted by slu-foot on May 02, 2013 at 09:58 AM

How can anyone judge this a draw? Kelly delivered the only scoring blow, removed Komarov's helmet and had his shirt over his head. And then repectful did not fill him in. Komarov is punching the back of Kelly's helmet out of desperation, dumb.

Posted by Goonlord on May 02, 2013 at 01:26 AM

Not much of a fight. Give the edge to Kelly because he actually had some punches that hit Leo's face. Komarov's hand must be sore from hitting the back of Kelly's helmet.

Posted by KevyK on May 02, 2013 at 03:30 AM

I'm not sure why people think Komarov won this fight... at 0:28 Kelly winds up to fire at Komarov, who is completely blinded with a jersey over his head, but chooses to not take the shot. Komarov then grabs Kelly's arm and starts with the love taps... Draw, but only cause Kelly decided not to win it.

Posted by bdpetroni on May 02, 2013 at 03:39 AM

There's a difference between being "team tough" and having a handful of goons. The Bruins are "team tough", 90% of the guys will fight, and all of their players can actually play the game. Toronto has 3-4 goons who are complete liabilities on the ice, and the majority of the rest of their players are soft. This is a typical d-bag move by their coach to throw out all the goons for the last minute of the game, to take runs at the Bruins. Toronto, you got your ass kicked in game 1. Gooning it up at the end just makes you look worse. I know it's been awhile since you've made the playoffs, but if you want to compete, you need 20 players who can do more than just fight.

Posted by Joe Rock on May 02, 2013 at 09:51 AM

Kelly throws a couple before Komorov takes over and Kelly holds on for dear life. For those thinking they will see a few fights this series, think again. Orr, McLaren and Fraser went looking for dance partners all night and were turned down several times. Just look at the history. Orr destroyed Thornton the last time the fought and Lucic is too afraid to get within 10 feet of him after Colton made him hide behind the linesman like a bitch. Fraser pummelled McQuaid, Phaneuf demolished Horton and everyone on the Bruins wants no part of McLaren. The Bruins have stolen a page out of Monteal's playbook, act tough after the linesmen show up. When the play is going and the officials aren't around they turn down invitations left and right. How do you spell Bruin? P-U-S-S-Y

Posted by darebear on May 02, 2013 at 04:24 AM

@niftyweave is your head totally up your own ass or someone elses? why do you suck if you dress mclaren and orr?? should we look at the goons boston had out?? mcquaid, thornton, campbell, horton and the living turd that is marchand. god forbid the leafs send out some tough guys to combat them so the skill players dont get battered around. @bdpetroni throw out all the goons?? i counted mclaren there the others in white were komorov, liles, gunnarson and mclement, hardy a line of goons a total of about 3 fights between them without frazer

Posted by BigBadBruins68 on January 22, 2015 at 01:19 AM

Seeing as how Kelly had the best punches early in the fight, I'm giving it to him, Komarov mostly just gave him noogies to the back of the head. Also, the way he ended up, if the game wasn't over, Kelly would've mauled him, but he was probably trying to make sure he wouldn't get suspended.

Posted by dannnyboy on May 02, 2013 at 03:24 AM

For me is winner Kelly(non-fighter), because of Leaf´s fighters frustration..

Posted by arabhata on May 02, 2013 at 07:06 PM

Komarov is a real monster. Tried to pick a fight with marchand all game then gets KO king Chris Kelly to go. Komarov is a joke.

Posted by GSP09 on May 01, 2013 at 11:09 PM

Of all the guys that were willing to fight on the Leafs side, Kelly picks Komarov and he still loose. Bruiners were afraid all night of Orr and McLaren , specially big Lucie. Look at all the monkees acting on the other side of the glass, they look like there at the zoo. Too phony. Only in Boston.

Posted by bammer24 on May 02, 2013 at 02:05 PM

Kelly gets the edge on this one and if they were to break free I`m sure Kelly would have beaten him again.I was hoping the Bruins would play Toronto it was just what the B`s needed.Flat out played the Leafs except that opening goal. You knew Lucic was into it when he showed up wearing that semi-Mohawk. Lots of hitting going on Playoff Hockey. Finally the Bruins looked real Good. Hey Bouli your review stinks on this fight did you watch it .The whole game we can also remember your long rants against the Bruins always so you speak to volumes of deaf ears and no nothing of with you speak. You have been on here for 12 years wow that's a Big Whoopty Doo ! A lot of kids go to school for 12 years and don`t know squat case in point that seems like you.Did you play Hockey are you that good .Did you ever fight on ice little man let alone anywhere. If not SHUT THE FUCH UP !!!!!!!!!!

Posted by pooleyacht on May 02, 2013 at 10:03 AM

Stupid fight, Komarov played like a broad all night, taking runs at people and missing, getting flattened a few times and overall playing terrible defense. This Toronto team is absolute dog crap after Kessel and VanRiemsdyk. Toronto was just pissed that they got out hustled and physically man-handled all night. BRUINS IN 4.

Posted by Pug Face on May 02, 2013 at 10:15 AM

All Kelly,...Orr tried to sucker boychuck.. Then was schooled by Ference.. All the Bruins are tough. Leafs are soft....Their 4th line can barely skate so it takes them out of the game..We'll see high scoring games if Orr / Mclaren get ice time . Bruins dominate with team toughness and cup rings...

Posted by hughcares on May 02, 2013 at 07:29 AM

Kelly hangs on for dear life - looks like he has his helmut and huge visor bolted to his head. As soon as Komarov takes over Kelly uses the helmut/shield defence and wants no part of the fight. McQueer wants no part of McLaren, waiting to hear how McQueer is a star defenceman and too valuable to fight.

Posted by Leafs2006 on May 01, 2013 at 10:03 PM

Orr or MacLaren or Fraser need to put these the Bruins in their fucking place. Thank God kelly's soft spot was protected by his helmet
