Slight edge Iginla, Kesler never cleanly connects on the shots at the beginning, they all either miss or hit Iginla on the visor/helmet.

kesler lands the only good shots , you vote iginla you should never be allowed to vote again. and i am iginla fan

I can't be the only one who wishes Iginla broke Kesler's face instead of his own hand, can I?

Posted by radik on December 15, 2013 at 12:27 AM

Win to Iggy, shame the linesmen had to save Kesler, he was still holding his own...kind of.

Posted by probie4life on December 15, 2013 at 02:19 AM

If only the rest of the B's played with the heart that Iginla did tonight they wouldn't have gotten smoked. Can't wait for Thorny to get back in!

Posted by sedinfan on December 14, 2013 at 11:25 PM

Iggy looks like he hurt or dislocated his finger, but he did come back and play thankfully. As a Canuck fan, these two have always hated each other and i must admit, Kelser has turned down many an invitation or they may have had 6 or more fights than the ones they already have. Uneventful draw however, just two pissed off veterans.

Posted by 87CROSBY87 on December 15, 2013 at 12:34 AM

Iggy is one tough SOB and the clear winner in this bout Was that chant by Canuck fans Boston sucks or Caaaaanuuuuuks NO Cuuuuuuuuuup?

Posted by Behn Wilson on December 15, 2013 at 10:18 AM

Embarrassed by the hit Kesler ill-advisedly challenges Iginla but his genuine anger allows him to briefly rise to the occasion before the zebras save him from the inevitable Traveling for the next few days hold the fort :)

Posted by alekseyanov on December 15, 2013 at 05:07 AM

as Brian Burke would say, Very Stupid mistake both of the players made, by dropping the mitts. Iginla is nearing the end of a Epic Hockey career, he has nothing left to prove. Kesler on the other hand is in his prime, and has a lot to lose if he gets injured. Tort cant stand top players getting into fights, cause someone always get hurt. Winner: Draw but if ur into boxing style of who won.. Iginla: 6 punches thrown, 4 made contact. Kesler: 3 thrown all made contact, then turtled

Posted by von_swine on December 15, 2013 at 05:24 AM

Refs, please....this isn't Germany, or Prague... or is it nowadays? Jarome becasue he's Jarome,'s basically a no decision..

Iggy scores big

Posted by WillieJ on December 15, 2013 at 07:46 PM

Kes was lucky the linesman were on top of it when he got his jersey pulled over his head. A draw as far as it got.

Posted by deecraig on December 15, 2013 at 12:43 PM

Commentating has always always been horrible by the Boston commentators and I`m from Boston. Such a lop sided bias group but oh well. Draw at max!!!

Posted by BattyKoda on December 15, 2013 at 02:50 PM

Called it a draw, Iggy was starting to get the upper hand but the fight was stopped.

Posted by Jordybats99 on December 30, 2015 at 06:28 PM

Would have been a better Fight If the Refs didnt step in so early. Draw.

Posted by Spinner55 on December 15, 2013 at 09:29 AM

Kesler is such a "Puke".

refs came in too soon ..... again.... could have been a great brawl...

Posted by rocky 1 on December 15, 2013 at 01:45 PM

Too bad the refs got in with the jersey over Kesslers head.Mainly because he never had his sweater tied down!Thats because Kessler likes to hit but not be hit like all the Canucks.A good sh it kicking would have done him some good!Win Iginla!

Posted by carchop on December 15, 2013 at 12:18 PM

Obviously a lot of Canuck fans voting .... no big fan of Iginla, but this was a clear win ....

Posted by codemgr on December 17, 2013 at 12:25 PM

Iggy wins in a crap fight. Wish the linesmen had stayed out of it. It may have gotten gruesome.

Posted by EK65 on December 15, 2013 at 01:02 AM

Hope Iggy's okay, that finger looked gross... aside from that love the battles these two players/teams partake in.. not to mention the bickering that goes on.. love it!

Posted by alleballa68 on December 15, 2013 at 01:47 AM

Kesler decides to drop em after Iggy lands a solid, clean check. As Iginla gains position to pummel, Kesler gets saved by the zebras. Draw and a 4.

Posted by maverick8500 on December 16, 2013 at 03:30 PM

Kesler started out on top, but the really only because Jarome was focused on getting that helmet off. once he refocused Kesler had no shot and ended up with a jersey over his head taking uppercuts to the face

Posted by rpw1 on December 15, 2013 at 05:26 PM

Kesler gets saved by the linesman. Iggy wins

Posted by Blackhawk16 on December 17, 2013 at 02:56 PM

I'm almost to a point now where I don't even want to watch a fight that involves a Bruin for fear that I will have to listen to Jack Edwards...However, I couldn't resist this one since Kesler was involved...figured it was a win-win for me to watch as a Hawks fan.

Posted by tpr1960 on December 15, 2013 at 09:22 AM

Great hit! No way Kesler won that fight, draw at best. And I hate Boston.

Posted by BooSanta on December 15, 2013 at 04:58 PM

Kesler surprises early against a favorite. Iggy already has four bouts halfway through this season. Iggy eventually gets Kesler set up for the flurry when the Zebs step in to prevent bloodshed. Win still goes to the Igster for that late flurry.

Posted by no123one on December 17, 2013 at 04:03 AM

Win Iginla by a mile. Refs saved Kessler.

Posted by digitalroc on December 15, 2013 at 01:19 PM

Kesler was indeed embarrassed on a beautiful clean body check by Iginla and then tried to throw ineffective punches. It always takes a few punches to get it going, however the linesmen had no business jumping in that early other than to save Kesler. Iginla was jockeying for position and setting up the barrage of uppercuts before the "policemen" jump in. Love the homer announcer, but it was true, Iginla was on the verge of destroying Kesler before the policeman pounce! At least Iggy got a few effective punches in, edge to Iggy, which should have been a land slide if it wasn't for the policeman pounce! And to finish this off, Kesler has lost all the fights against Iginla. I think Iginla has beaten up every Canuck he ever played against. Still no Cup for the Canucks, LOL. Go Bruins!

Posted by beretta804 on December 16, 2013 at 12:07 PM

You should ask how Iginla's finger is after the fight..... Oh well, always the risk when punching on heads and helmets.

Posted by Ronnie82 on December 15, 2013 at 08:57 PM

Edge Iginla. Fight stopped to early. Ouch to that finger!

Posted by kyhammer on December 15, 2013 at 11:07 AM

Close. Kesler early. Giving this one to Iginla who clearly had the upper hand when linesmen move in to save Kesler from his beat down.

Posted by Bruins170 on December 15, 2013 at 08:27 AM

Jack Edwards is blind. Boys did not get a chance to get going. Iggy is a great player. Bruin fans better appreciate that top line. Won't last forever.

Posted by trip2112 on December 15, 2013 at 07:47 PM

lucky iggys finger was dislocated... could have been kesslers head from his neck...

Posted by redbullen on December 18, 2013 at 04:53 AM

good player och funny fight

Posted by moelemay on December 15, 2013 at 09:42 PM

Not sure if it is for comedic purposes but Bruins fights always seem to have Jack-off on the mic. Regardless of what you think of Kesler he won this fight, it is not even close. Iginla will probably win the next one but he lost this one clearly. Kesler is an idiot.

Posted by Cruncher on December 16, 2013 at 09:30 AM

Homer B. Otherwise a draw!

Posted by notacanucksfan on December 15, 2013 at 02:10 AM

anyone who votes iginla is a fucking ra-tard, it was draw, or no contest in my opinion as it was a hugfest/ not real fight. Iginla literally never landed a single punch other then to keslers shoulder pads after linesmen went in. Iginla is a tougher better fighter, but did not win that fight. F YOU BIASED ANNOUNCER /CALGARY FANS SUCK IT.

Posted by MeatPlow on December 15, 2013 at 07:18 PM

Refs stopped a beating about to be delivered to a Cansuck player. But what i saw was a draw. Refs jumped in too early...bah

Posted by rangerfan410 on December 18, 2013 at 03:16 PM

I think Edwards misread this one. Again.

Posted by bruins34 on December 15, 2013 at 03:17 PM

Lots of dislike by these two guys but ITech was the only true winner in this lacrosse battle. Called it a draw. @Great Murray--I NEVER voted for Obama. Don't do that to me

Posted by dogwater on December 15, 2013 at 08:45 AM

Two things; 1) hate the visor fighters and the rules that prohibit them from taking it off 2) Why'd they stop it so fast? As soon as Iggy realizes he can't get the helmet off and decides to just start fighting they jump into an active scrum to smother it. Weird.

Posted by OLBass on December 30, 2013 at 06:11 PM

pure and simple draw here, almost all punches thrown hit helmet or visor. I do think Kesler would have been spanked if let to continue.

Posted by srehm1 on December 18, 2013 at 11:55 PM

Kesler with a few to start. Then Iggy comes back as the linesmen jump in when Kesler's jersey was over his head. Quick fight. Draw.

Posted by bigmike53 on December 16, 2013 at 02:09 AM

If that is Jack Edwards announcing mute him and watch the fight. This fight is a draw.

Posted by Sasky001 on December 15, 2013 at 11:09 AM

How can Kesler get a win when the refs had to step in to save him? Draw.

Posted by jrsnowden25 on December 15, 2013 at 12:39 AM

Kessler with a couple heavy shots early. Iginla with a flurry of punches late. Solid draw. Idk what Edwards was talking about when he says Kessler was "soundly beaten."

Posted by Jesticle on December 21, 2013 at 03:31 PM

I give a close scrap to Kesler because he sat in the penalty box, while Iginla went in for repairs on his finger. Kes had no reason to celebrate there...

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on December 16, 2013 at 08:52 PM

Can't give Iggy the win here, because the refs stopped it to early. Kesler came out hard, but just as Iginla started to take over the zebras jumped in. Draw

Posted by Biggus on December 15, 2013 at 12:34 PM

KEsler gets a couple in and then Iggy gets the jersey up and its feeding time, but the zebras jump in. Looked like Iggy hurt his hand. Draw

Posted by dave-m on December 15, 2013 at 10:57 PM

It was a good spirited bout between 2 skilled players. They are both competitors and have clashed before. There's no need to let them beat upon each other until someone gets hurt. They both threw a few, got out some aggression and got back to playing hockey. Iginla has always been tough as nails and Kesler has been playing like a man posessed lately. Kesler said in the post game interviews that he has a lot of respect for him.

Posted by jimmat on December 17, 2013 at 09:08 PM

Linesman..... New thing this year, jumping in way too soon. Good way for them to get hurt. Draw and a 5 as Kesler was saved..

Posted by 5minmajor420 on December 15, 2013 at 08:24 PM

The linesmen must be from BC...they came flying in to save Kesler. It's a draw with assists going to the linesmen, if they had let that go for even 5 seconds it would have been a clear win to Iggy, he had those uppercuts lined up.

Posted by relkin on December 17, 2013 at 12:31 PM

The only thing worse than visor fight is the zebras ending it early.

Posted by BigBadBruins68 on December 15, 2013 at 11:29 PM

Kesler misses most of his punches, and Iginla appears to have him lined up to land some good shots when the linesmen step in. Iggy with the win in a fight which could've been a lot more.

Posted by chad420 on December 15, 2013 at 10:32 AM

win atrocious game by the Bs though

Posted by rocky7482 on December 19, 2013 at 12:40 PM

Nice work, Iggie....this Flames fan appreciates the good work you are doing in the 'B' jersey.

Posted by claire alexande on December 15, 2013 at 09:25 PM

Man, these vote jihads are a thing of wonder. Iginla with close win, landing the only punches that hurt. Story here, though, is zebras saving punk-ass bitch Kissler from having his (incredibly ugly) face caved in. I'm curious why Kissler didn't get the minor for not having his jersey tied down and the 10-minute misconduct for the childish victory claim. Marchand was in fine form with his championship ring-finger kissing and lifting the cup motions.

Posted by Mounty in NC on December 16, 2013 at 08:41 PM

Giving this one to Kesler....Iginla may have won the fight if he tried to actually throw any punches instead he tries to pull Kesler down and pull his jersey over his head. Iginla didn't land a punch while Kesler landed several Can definitely see there are a lot of Bruins fans on here though

Posted by Humper on December 15, 2013 at 08:00 AM

Jack Edwards is as entertaining (in a nauseous manner) as always, in this case overrating Iggy's comeback by 1000% or so. Kessler got the job done before the officials' premature entry.

Posted by kari takko on December 15, 2013 at 12:30 PM

no one seems to like the draw choice...

Posted by ETA on December 15, 2013 at 12:08 PM

Kesler with the win but probably saved by the zebras at the end.

Posted by Maniwaki Mauler on December 15, 2013 at 02:58 AM

I don`t know how anybody could give this fight to Iginla. Kesler threw the only meaningful punches even though they didn`t connect very good. Slight edge to kesler even though it looked like Iginla was about to take control of the fight when the refs jumped in.

Posted by Taxman on December 16, 2013 at 01:35 AM

The commentators appear to be from Boston .. .Iginla hit Kesler's helmet twice and that is a sound beating ? Kesler gets a few shots in early and Iginla comes away with a dislocated finger on his left hand which in slow motion looks pretty bad. Kesler was lucky not to get kicked out as his jersey was not tied down and was close to getting pulled off.

Jack Edwards was spot on again, Kesler is a typical cowardly Canuck.

Posted by English_Bruin on December 15, 2013 at 05:59 AM

Iggy should have done better, at least he stood up which was more the other Bruins did. The scuffle in the 3rd period was more entertaining. Bruins sucked last night :(

Posted by Leafs2006 on December 15, 2013 at 04:19 AM

Another jack edwards delusional broadcast, I hope to run into Bullwinkle someday, so I can tell him what I think of his delusional play calling

Posted by mikebflorida on December 16, 2013 at 11:25 AM

Cruddy fight but Kessler gets the only decent shots in while Iginla doesn't manage much until the linesmen are holding Kessler. Typical Bruin fight, a bunch of votes for the Bruin despite him not doing much of anything in the fight. Sigh.

Posted by Westcoast_Goon on December 15, 2013 at 04:22 PM

Kesler lands the only shots. Win Kesler. Condolences to Iggy's ring finger. ps: Jack Edwards is in rare form. What a clown.

Posted by Plateworker on December 15, 2013 at 11:44 AM

Win Kesler as he is the only one who actually landed anything

Posted by hughcares on December 15, 2013 at 09:56 AM

I was hoping to see Iginla tune up Kesler but instead he eats the first punch and proceeds to lose the fight. Perhaps Iginila should take notes from Thornton. Next time wait for the play to stop, come up behind Kesler and slew foot him and hit him while he is down on the ice. Your chances of winning the fight go up dramtically when this technique is used.

Posted by boldbilly on December 15, 2013 at 07:04 AM

Vancouver won the game. Vancouver won the fight........all we saw through the whole game was the classless coward Marchand kissing his imaginary Stanley cup ring..........he was challenged many times but in true Boston manner declined .......unless its a Sedin what a classless cowardly puke.......on another note Thornton got what he deserved......another 5 games would have been better........gave me great pleasure to watch Van city manhandle the Panda

Posted by Spydervoodoo on December 15, 2013 at 10:53 AM

Kesler won that one. I like Iginla but his uppercuts were while the refs were already in. That's cheap.

Posted by Great Murray on December 15, 2013 at 02:24 PM

Iggy made a great hit! Edwards made his usual awful fight call. Andy seemed to get it. Iggy didn't land 1 punch. Kessler maybe 1. Kessler...draw is good too. Boston voters...remember you went for Obama's that working out for you?

Posted by AxlRose91 on December 16, 2013 at 12:40 PM

I love the homer announcer...."Kesler gets SOUNDLY beaten in this fight" Hilarious. Couldn't have been the same fight I watched. Win Kesler

Posted by Hilaker on December 15, 2013 at 07:10 AM

Kessler with the win. He landed the only decent shots. Close to a draw but I went with Kessler based on the start. The end came when Kessler's jersey got pulled over his head. Would have been a game mis-conduct if it came off.

Posted by hockey doc on December 15, 2013 at 06:41 AM

Bruins losing fights at a rapid pace. Win Kesler

Posted by FaxCap on December 15, 2013 at 12:15 PM

Very close....Kesler gets some good shots in early, Iggy finishes well. Iggy breaks/dislocates a finger trying to get Kesler's helmet off.

Posted by Madcheddar on December 15, 2013 at 02:27 AM

Love clowning the Bruins. This fight set the tone and the Nucks responded. The Big Bad Bruins dragged their knuckles back to the cave and got owned.

Posted by Omenator on December 15, 2013 at 01:51 AM

Iginla seriously? Didn't even land a punch! Homer voters or Canuck haters ? Win Kessler

Posted by talister106 on December 15, 2013 at 08:11 PM

Kesler with the most punches landing.

Posted by pacomarelli on December 15, 2013 at 10:12 AM

Surprised that Kes looked to go with Iggy. He did well, then Iggy's finger went sideways.

Posted by BeastMode78 on December 15, 2013 at 12:04 AM

Good to see Kesler so amped up. Iginla is always a tough opponent and Kessler is lucky to leave with his teeth.

Posted by wcugram on December 15, 2013 at 11:22 AM

I am so sick of you Boston homers. Iginla goes for repairs, no injury to Kesler and somehow Iginla was tattooing Kesler? Maybe the Boston homers need to review NHL mandates when jersey's are pulled over players heads in fights. Refs are mandated to step in. Not one ounce of evidence a single punch from Iginla landed with any significance. Even in super slow mo. Try all ya like Bahstan, but you guys have no shred of honesty.

Posted by spiderlakeDave on April 03, 2014 at 09:12 PM

would have been better if Kesler's Jersey stayed on

Posted by Dave Brown HOF on December 26, 2013 at 08:44 PM

I think everyone should watch the fight with the sound down because that horseshit announcer Jack Edwards spoils every fight he calls. He is truly terrible and I don't even hate the Bruins. As for the fight, I was at the game and Kesler clearly won. Kesler was the only one who landed any punches and this was confirmed both live and in the replays at the rink on the big screen. Would the outcome have been different if Kesler didn't get his jersey pulled up, possibly, but we can't judge the fight on possiblies but on what actually happened and what happened was Kesler landed the only good punches. Great atmosphere at the game, which is partially due to the rivalry these two teams developed from a couple of years it always helps when you have two good teams playing each other rather than watching one good team go through the motions against a pathetic the Flamers for example.

Posted by nuckles88 on December 15, 2013 at 05:30 AM

Love both these players and loved this scrap. Kesler lands all the real punches and Iggy with the dislocated finger can't do much but pull the jersey up and throw small punches to kes's helmet. Props to iggy for coming back in the second. Win Kesler

Posted by b.t.wilson on December 15, 2013 at 12:40 AM

Loved Iginla since junior. Hate Kesler, specially the way he dismantled the Preds two years ago in the playoffs. I'd LOVE to have him on my team. Love their rivalry. Angry draw, glad to hear Iggy came back.

Posted by rangers16 on December 15, 2013 at 09:47 AM

Kesler all day. Iggy doesn't even land one until Keslers jersey is over his head. Merica

Posted by zdeno33chara on December 15, 2013 at 01:14 PM

Canucks are a team that don't know how to take a hit. Luongo goes down twice, and Kesler gets saved by the linesmen. Incredible how much of a puss each and every Canuck is. And how many rings do you guys have? Bruins all the way

Posted by Ecce72 on December 15, 2013 at 09:10 AM

Kesler saved

Posted by staceyb on December 15, 2013 at 07:14 AM

Kesler in control until the lights got turned off. That's when the linesmen stepped in. I watch the Bruins games on NESN. Jack Edwards usually calls a good, balanced game but when a fight breaks out he flips on the homer switch. But no one can ever replace Fred Cusick.

Posted by Orr Fourever on December 15, 2013 at 07:31 AM

Iggy With the win. Kessler can't fight. Edwards calls another good one. Again

Posted by King of Goons on December 19, 2013 at 11:57 PM

Jack Edwards really should consider jumping off a bridge. Not only is he worthless as an announcer, he seems to be a pretty useless human being as well.

Posted by Akcanuck on December 15, 2013 at 12:38 AM

Edge to Kesler, he landed a few good shots early, then Iggy tried to drag his jersey over his head. Ryan was definitely the aggressor.

Posted by vido on December 15, 2013 at 01:33 AM

Slight edge Kesler only 2 real punches that land were by Kesler even if they were off the helmet. if he had his jersey tied down Iggy would have needed his rocking chair. Iggy doesn't scare anyone like before. Surprised Boston didn't say Kesler bit his finger!

Posted by kinga101 on December 16, 2013 at 02:20 PM

Ridiculous voting once again. The 3 big rights by Kessler far outpoints the couple of lame uppercuts to a guy with his shirt over his head. Clear win for Kessler.

Posted by cible on December 15, 2013 at 01:00 AM

Looks like the bruins homers were blinded by Chara's Vagina in this one! Kesler was the only one to connect with two punches so i'm still trying to understand how Iginla could get the nod? No fan of either team but just calling it the way it is!!!!!!

Posted by Sweeney2112 on December 15, 2013 at 10:46 AM

easy win for Kesler....

Posted by francoisleroux on December 15, 2013 at 02:23 AM

Kesler landed one good one at the beginning, then stepped on a stick, and it all went downhill from there for the guy who should be the captain of the 'nucks. I guess Iginla got what he deserved for trying to pound on a guy with the jersey over his head... Draw, with props to Kesler for A) dropping the gloves and B) actually throwing a few good punches.

How could that announcer say "soundly beaten in that fight"??? Iginla only threw punches once the refs stepped in. Which they usually do when the jersey gets over someone's head. Win for Kesler . If I were a bruins fan, I might have to watch the games with the sound off.

Stupid linesemen. Let Kesler receive the punishment he was asking for.
