Calvert bites off a bit more than he can chew here. All Cole.

terrible camera work

Whats wrong with Jackman, does he think he is too valuable to drop the gloves, that right is only reserved for Lucy.

getting completely whupped in a fight sparks your bench??

Posted by EK65 on December 15, 2013 at 12:42 AM

Cant see much, (short fight and questionable camera work) but, from what I saw I gave it to Cole.. props to Calvert's "im small but I wont take shit from you" approach..

Calvert becomes a one man wrecking crew destroying Jackman until Cole finally gets ahold of him As is often the case FrancoisLeroux DarcyT and Usmccaron accurately sum up what happens next What is with the retarded directorial decisions lately? Or is it just a league sanctioned JFK-like conspiracy in a misguided attempt to hide the violence? I'm guessing just pure ineptitude

i love the anymosity from calvert...they dont show the whole fight but it looked like cole got calvert in vulnerable position with his jersey over his head at the end

Matt Calvert couldn't decide who should kick his butt, so Cole decided for him.

Calvert got pounded in this one.

good for cole to stand up for his teammate which cole is not a fighter so was surprised to see him jump in there but good for him

Looked like Cole landed a few quick uppercuts to take the win.

Nice call by the Blue Jackets broadcast, cutting away right when Cole started unloading on Calvert. Granted, his head was completely covered by his jersey, but they could have at least let their fans see how tough he is/isn't. Weak.

Calvert has got a lot of heart. Foligno is a stand up guy for the BJacks. St Louis is tough top to bottom.

Watched this fight live and saw replays of the entire encounter. That punch at the end was the only thing Cole got in. Calvert got in some good shots until Cole got the jersey up on him. That little guy isn't afraid of anything.

Ahh, Blue Jacket announcers making the most of a bad situation in this one. All Cole -- enjoyable old school fight where the jersey comes over a guys head and then he gets pummelled

Cole hammered Calvert. Give the little fella credit for starting some $hit though.

Bad video direction normally makes for difficult fight adjudication. In this case, not so much...wut hoppened was fairly evident regardless. Calvert gets some props, but also the loss.

Not sure how getting your ass handed to you sparks the bench.

Ian Cole can still remember his name this morning because he chose to dance with little Matt Calvert instead of Nick Foligno, who would have dismantled him.
