* DOUCHE you idiot.... Kassian with the win

Posted by sedinfan on January 21, 2013 at 12:42 AM

Edge Kassian, but I am sorry, watching Eager trying to mount Kassian from behind at the end of the fight was gross.

Posted by Custombreaks on January 21, 2013 at 05:20 PM

Kassian smacks psycho Ben. Can't wait to see that fat coward get tuned in again the next time they meet. Eager fights as chickensh*t as Greg Campbell, the only time they get a punch in, is when their lying on the ice.

First of all NewEnglander85, are you really comparing Kassian to Lucic after Kassians had a whopping 50 games, give or take, in the NHL and Lucic is now in his 6th season? I love Lucic and watched him since he was a kid playing for the Express and then with the Giants but Kassian also had quite a reputation in the OHL as being a feared fighter just like Lucic did in the WHL, so to say he isn't a good fighter is ridiculous. Also, Kassians 3 years younger and has played half an NHL season, so comparing them as players at this point in their careers is also ridiculous. If you want to compare the two 5 years from now, no problem, but to make the statements that you made is a joke. Do your research asshole or don't bother posting. As for the fight, Kassian wins with the big left hand that split Eager open and made him day to day. Not usually a big fan of the theatrics after the fight, but Kassian admitted that he started the fight and was trying to pump up both the silenced crowd and the Nucks after Edmonton tied the game and wasn't doing it to show up Eager, who probably would have deserved it anyways because he's such a puke. The Oilers are going to be a good young team for years to come and have a lot of talent, and will probably own the division in a couple of years, too bad they couldn't share some of it with that shiat organization that they share a province with, because they're going to dominate that pathetic, no talent team for the next 10 years at least......and I'll love every minute of it.

Can't give it to Eager after the nonsense when they were both down. That's "bitchassness". But can the cheerleading BS, Zack. You looked like you just finished seventh in the Special Olympics and were getting your ribbon.

Posted by kinicky21 on January 20, 2013 at 11:53 PM

Busted Eager open with a good left and that's what won him the fight IMO

Posted by Crazy_Canuck on January 22, 2013 at 03:09 PM

Eager is one of the biggest plugs in the NHL. Glad to see someone tough beat him. I'm diggin that Eager got split open.

Great shot by Kassian in the beginning. Eager with take down points

Posted by rudyk on January 21, 2013 at 10:10 AM

Kassian clearly experienced at throwing those defensive, behind the head punches -- given who he shares a locker room with. This one was pretty even

Draw. Such Drama.

Posted by Sasky001 on January 21, 2013 at 08:08 PM

Not as good as the beating Gary Roberts put on Meager, but satifying to watch none the less.

Posted by Binx on January 21, 2013 at 11:27 AM

Bad pizza is still pizza right? Cause that's what I got out of this fight.

Posted by The DZA on January 22, 2013 at 10:08 AM

Eager gets him from behind. Thats where he likes it.

Posted by fernben8 on January 21, 2013 at 09:02 AM

Nice intensity... I saw it Kassian early, Eager late. Going Draw. Borderline Showboating from Kas....watch it you don't cross that line.

Posted by tyrone on January 21, 2013 at 01:04 PM

I tell ya, this Matt Kassian guy is a tough dude.

Posted by Bluetiedown44 on January 22, 2013 at 01:06 AM

Kassian probably comes out ahead, but Eager rebounded from opening smash. Hard to consider it dominating with Eager behind him throwing 3 punches after accidently/on-purpose (?) duck under swim move.

Posted by mmadced on January 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM

easy victory kassian

Posted by fenians79 on January 21, 2013 at 01:56 PM

Some bad intentions behind those shots....Kass w/ the better shots and the W.

Posted by Bakes923 on January 21, 2013 at 06:14 PM

Kassian landed the best punch,Eager got a couple in late, but needed some ice for that welt, over all win for Zack, dude is a beast, has a chance to do some damage to in the heavyweight division this year!!

Posted by rhys57 on January 21, 2013 at 02:52 PM

great fight shame didnt last longer

Posted by Brandon7164 on January 22, 2013 at 04:27 AM

Vote: toothless wonder = )

Posted by Durxxx on January 26, 2013 at 12:21 PM

Heavy handed Kassian lands a left that staggers Eager and lets him know there's a new sheriff in town.

Posted by Badgerface on January 21, 2013 at 02:57 PM

Eager deserved to get his head punched in. Kassian smoked him in the face and made him bleed which won the fight.

Posted by alan22 on January 30, 2013 at 03:02 AM

Close fight, but Kass landed and Eager has a concussion now. Kass win.

Posted by Stevens Lindros on January 21, 2013 at 12:11 AM

Kasian easy.

Posted by Bloodbank on February 12, 2013 at 05:33 PM

Eager out for repairs. Misses the next 9 games with a concussion. WIN: KASSIAN

Posted by kassianfan on January 21, 2013 at 01:21 AM

Kassian dominated!

Posted by Bob Probert 24 on January 21, 2013 at 08:17 AM

Kassian wins, but it's only Eager. Let's see him do that to the bigger guys. Like beating your sister and bragging about it.

Posted by sportsbutter on January 24, 2013 at 11:17 AM

Eager gets nailed, then plays defense. Next time he'll probably jump Kassian from behind. Or somebody smaller.

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on January 21, 2013 at 01:42 AM

Good win for Kassian.

Posted by kkdowning on January 21, 2013 at 11:09 AM

Going edge Kassian

Posted by Mrmom on January 21, 2013 at 12:09 AM

I've always disliked Eager

Posted by Canucks420 on January 21, 2013 at 03:47 PM

Unless you're giving Eager points for throwing punches when they're already down on the ice, tough to see how he can win this one. Specially when he's out today with "facial swelling," ha! Kass ftw, this kid has serious potential.

Posted by lets_go on January 21, 2013 at 12:42 PM

Kassien is 20 years old I beleave, just wait till his balls drop. He will be a killer. He should put in a mouth gard, way harder to get ko with one in.

Posted by rocky 1 on January 23, 2013 at 02:20 AM

Kassian starts strong and lands a couple then Eager takes over and lands a couple to send kassian to the ice,so tko eager for the knockdown and eight count!

Posted by pepsigenerate on January 21, 2013 at 10:59 AM

Left hook by kassian for the win!

Posted by ricktlu on January 21, 2013 at 12:06 AM

Rabbit punches don't win hockey fights. sorry Ben

Posted by joe the boss 63 on January 23, 2013 at 04:22 AM

thats why they got him after the bruins slapped them around in 2011

Posted by Bear72 on January 21, 2013 at 08:57 AM

Great win for kassian oops I thought it was Kassian from MN not the rag doll from Van

Posted by staceyb on January 21, 2013 at 07:21 AM

As the replay shows Kassian got in a nasty left plus he got #1 star of the game on home ice.

Posted by Madcheddar on January 22, 2013 at 11:32 PM

The Oilers quest for the number one draft pick begins!

Posted by von_swine on January 25, 2013 at 06:30 AM

Eager w/the date rape tactics at the end of the tilt after eating a heavy left...suprised he didnt pull an eye rake ala Tocchet/Chynoweth from waay back.. Kassian W due to the straight connect.

Posted by hughcares on January 21, 2013 at 09:02 AM

Win Kassian. Eager started throwing only after Kassian got turned around. I guess Eager isn't as tough when he doesn't have his brother beside him.

Posted by bruins rule on January 21, 2013 at 06:02 PM

kassian with the win

Posted by spl311 on January 22, 2013 at 07:26 PM

kassian wins by damage

Posted by KillSabrehatred on January 20, 2013 at 11:52 PM

This is what Kassian has to do. Got Eager early with a good Left. Always liked this kid, he can fight and has good skills. can he do it everynight ?

Posted by adamtyoung on January 21, 2013 at 03:33 PM

Eager's apparently on the day-to-day injury list now. Slight edge Kassian.

Posted by Falkie11 on January 22, 2013 at 12:25 PM

Kassian just edges it! Caught him with a nice left. Still want the rematch of Bieksa v Eager.....what a fight that would be again!

Posted by BrianBro53 on January 21, 2013 at 02:36 AM

Kassian landed better and more punches and just got caught in a weird position at the end there and Eager didn't even do too much damage when that happened. Kassian gets the win

Posted by CJMBC on January 24, 2013 at 07:23 AM

Nice left There by Zack, Takes the win

Posted by Westcoast_Goon on January 22, 2013 at 01:21 PM

The youngster Kassian takes this one. Landed the best shot by far...sending Eager off for repairs.

Posted by EdNo on January 21, 2013 at 09:01 AM

I have been fiending for hockey ( and the fights!) and settle down to watch the first vids of the season, and already i'm inundated with you idiots whining about "celebrating'... have any of you morons EVER been in a fight before??! It's called ADRENALINE fools, and some guys react diffrerently when its pumping... So stfu and stop pontificating about how players should react after they just finished throwing/ eating punches MORONS... and that goes for you douchebags preaching to us about the goddam "Code", i'm sick of you losers too!!!

Posted by BAAAAANNERMAAAN on January 21, 2013 at 08:10 AM

Kassian appeared to be looking for a takedown as he was satisfied with the only clean punch of the fight......going for a takedown is a way out of the fight......and the celebration was stupid.

Posted by FHgrad99 on January 21, 2013 at 12:09 AM

Kassian tagged Eager with a couple of good shots early. Eager got a couple in once he spun Kassian off balance but they weren't as good as what Kassian hit him with.

Posted by OilersHockey on January 21, 2013 at 07:44 AM

Kassian landed only one punch in this fight but it was a good one and cut Eager.... Eager landed two bombs late to the back of the head and had Kassian in big trouble who was all too "eager" to hit the ice... Draw.

Posted by SouthPaw017 on January 21, 2013 at 04:50 AM

Ok, I finally got to check the fight log and saw something I HAD NEVER SEEN BEFORE.... A Cansuck with a win in a fight??? Clearly too good to be true... Active, but too short, gotta go with a Draw.... Props to Assian for the post fight "look at me, I'm in this uniform, thought about running away, but didn't!!! Yeahhhhh ME!!!!"

Posted by NewEnglander85 on January 22, 2013 at 12:50 PM

Sorry Vancouver but Kassian is not a good fighter. Last year when they acquired him Canucks fans were saying he is their answer for Milan Lucic. Lucic would eat this kid alive in a fight and Lucic is a much better player.

Posted by Walt on January 21, 2013 at 02:00 PM

I'm really warming up to the concept of 48 games of inter-conference/inter-division play. Could create some old school intensity. Kassian wins but played the punk after the fight. He's with Vancouver after all ...

Posted by claire alexande on January 21, 2013 at 01:35 AM

Sorry to rain on Nuck fanboy land, but that was a draw all the way. The fight should have been awarded to Eager due to Kassie-Ann's imbecilic WWE routine at the end, but we'll leave it be since Zachary did much better against Eager than Kevin "Tough as Nails (you know--the acrylic paste-on kind dripping with whorish scarlet fingernail polish)" Bitchka ever did.

Posted by treblecharger on January 21, 2013 at 01:13 PM

Not sure what Kassian was celebrating there. going with draw.

Posted by slavv on January 21, 2013 at 09:37 PM

Crap fight. Next....

Posted by cible on January 21, 2013 at 12:37 AM

What is kassian celebrating for???

Posted by DARCY T on January 21, 2013 at 05:28 PM

kassian looked ridiculous in and after the fight...both landed one bomb and then im not sure what was kassian trying to do but turning your back to your opponent is not the best way to win a fight.win eager

Posted by Hi5me1 on January 22, 2013 at 06:49 PM

No way kassian wins this fight.

Posted by dave brown fan on January 21, 2013 at 07:46 AM

Eager got cut but he ragdolled Kassian. Decision, Eager. Surprised at how many people are voting Kassian.

Posted by Luvdafights on January 21, 2013 at 07:38 PM

Huge Draw here. No evidence that proves a winner.

Posted by R3NxSTONEx on January 21, 2013 at 02:19 AM

I think it was a draw...Eager getting cut appeared to be from Kassians helmet at the start when they pulled into eachother because there was no great punches landed by either party.

Posted by Jack o on January 21, 2013 at 10:09 AM

Kassian lands the best shot early. Momentum to eager late. Draw

Posted by 777Big on January 21, 2013 at 07:54 PM

Ha, ha, ha. The winless Nucks embarrass themselves again. Is that their "tough guy"? Assian then pretends he "fired-up" the team.....to lose. Pathetic

Posted by mike2323 on January 22, 2013 at 05:15 AM

Eager...Kassian is a moron.

Posted by majik317 on January 20, 2013 at 11:48 PM

Kassian cheered for himself after drawing with Eager? Typical Vanouver dousche.
