Watched it twice, can't find a clear winner. Looked like Prust didn't want to go, Boulton had more energy. - Draw ( We heard Pierre earlier in the game quote Prust as saying " He was here to play hockey tonight." So I don't know if there was something wrong with him or just didn't feel like going.)

Lame ass draw.

The linesman that tried to jump in when the fight was shortly underway must've been working his first game. He needs to re-read the Official's manual and understand it. As far as the fight, an uneventful draw for two guys respecting each other....

Boulton was doing what??? this commentator sucks.. he was trying to act as if Prust wasnt doing anything. yet clearly Prust actually fought. Boulton wanted it , then he got it. not much of a fight from either but still fun. sucks they both only landed 2 yes 2 punches. to bad it seems alot of you dont watch these fights more then 1 time. if even the whole fight :)

Prust usually more than willing, but did'nt look to willing here!! Still call it a draw tho, neither one overwhelmed here!!

Posted by GreatMurray on February 28, 2012 at 07:13 AM

Boulton gets a go against Prust. Two VERY TOUGH middles. Prust was coming off the end of a long shift. Good fight. No upper hand gained.' Draw

draw maybe edge to Boults but I'll call it a draw

Posted by ThrowdownSJ408 on February 27, 2012 at 10:14 PM

prustl ooked gassed beforei t started. not his fault. draw or edge Boults.

Posted by tpr1960 on February 28, 2012 at 09:57 PM

Prust gave up. Rangers 0-2 in fights.

Posted by xoptimuscrimex on February 28, 2012 at 01:56 AM

Boulton with the tko only because of Prust's complete unwillingness to actually fight. To be fair, I like Prust. Dislike Boulton. And dislike the Devils. BUT the fact that so many people voted for Prust for the win, further proves the amount of Ranger homers on this site. I'm all for being a homer, as long as its rational. To back this up, go to the forums and look at the favorite team thread.

W for Boults who no doubt didn't enjoy his 24 hours on the waiver wire.

Not sure that anyone landed punches, Boulton may of had two or so in there. Something happened earlier in the game and the coaches sent Boulton and Rupp onto the ice. The refs sent Rupp back however, and Tortorella didn't like it. Meanwhile, Boulton was also sent back to the bench. When the puck dropped, Boulton and Rupp immediately both changed onto the ice and came right for each other, only to exchange words and head back to the benches. Very Strange how that happened, but Boults got and won a fight anyway.

Boulton wins for aggressiveness and "Mean mugging" Prust didnt look like he wanted none...

Posted by Behn Wilson on February 28, 2012 at 04:26 AM

Boulton does his best Janssen impression, waving, and even pushing, offf the linesmen, but even a gassed, and semi-disinterested, Prust still manages to make it a decent scrap. After carrying the brunt of the load on his diminuative shoulders for most of the season... and with Scott as the new sheriff in town... hopefully, he can now, finally, revert to his natural role of being one of the best deputy's in the league.

what was prust doing at the beginning.boulton was throwing punches and prust still held his stick in his right hand with a glove on.he looked like he didnt wanna go and even during fight he looked like gassed or hurt.still did quite well.edge boulton and 5

Boulton

Posted by mudman55 on February 28, 2012 at 10:33 AM

Prust was gassed. Probably because of the effort spent on holding onto his stick for the first part of the fight.

Posted by moramike on February 27, 2012 at 10:28 PM

If Prust was hurt and didn't want to fight he shouldn't have slashed Boulton a few times as they skated down the ice. You want to do that crap to a guy like Boulton, you better be willing to answer the bell. Instead he was calling for the linesman like a 3rd grader would be calling for his mommy.

Posted by ironbar44 on February 27, 2012 at 10:13 PM

BOULTON with the w .PRUST usually out techiques guys ,he looked like his shoulder was aching .have to give it to BOULTON

Posted by bammer24 on February 28, 2012 at 01:01 AM

Boulton with the win,Prust has the look of when is Scott coming the entire fight.Looked very worn out. Time for Scott to take over" Boogeyman Legacy" on Broadway. Now if only Pittsburgh would call up" Big Mac".Hockeyfight.com will light up.Still miss ya Bogey.

Eric won, he got some good ones.

Posted by jnc_927 on February 28, 2012 at 01:31 AM

win prust..

Posted by Tilth01 on February 28, 2012 at 07:24 AM

I understand that Boulton was trying to get his team going here but, you still need to follow the code. Classless to force a guy that is gassed.

Posted by BigJay on March 03, 2012 at 08:40 PM

Boulton showed what kind of a man he really is, which is not much of one, by throwing punches before Prust dropped his gloves. A cowardly tactic for sure.

Posted by GVE09 on February 27, 2012 at 10:32 PM

Pathetic, Boulton runs from Rupp tp go after Prust. Messes with Gaborik and then runs for mommy. Disgrace

Posted by Chris18 on March 02, 2012 at 01:17 PM

Boulton got a couple in but nothing great. Prust with the fightback. Boulton seemed hesitant to punch so Prust with the win.

Posted by travist on February 27, 2012 at 11:21 PM

i like NYR getting scott at the deadline. they're going to be a physical monster in the post-season.

Posted by kkdowning on February 29, 2012 at 09:05 AM

Can't vote against PRust -- even when it seems like he is not paying attention -- so draw

Posted by WickedMonstah on February 28, 2012 at 01:51 PM

Prust tries to puss out on the fight after giving a nasty slash. If you're too tired to fight start it on the next shift. Don't pull an Avery and instigate but not want to back it up.

Posted by SouthPaw017 on February 27, 2012 at 11:55 PM

Regardless of the reasons for Prust's below average showing, Boulton was clearly more active (this was clearly not the Prust we are used to seeing). Judging "this fight" between the two, Boulton gets the edge.

Posted by muskokadangler on February 27, 2012 at 09:58 PM

Prusty wanted No part of this...Not sure why but Im guessing its a legit reason.....Never seen him take so long to shed the gloves and He wanted the linesman to step in at the end so I give it to Boulton

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on March 05, 2015 at 05:03 PM

Not a great fight by any means and Boulton did just enough to get the victory

Posted by chad420 on February 28, 2012 at 10:16 AM

win Boulton

Posted by goody72 on February 27, 2012 at 10:24 PM

Looked like something was bothering Prust. I give Boulton the edge. Anyone know whats up with Prust????

Posted by TrueBlue26 on February 28, 2012 at 11:55 AM

looks like prust didnt really wanna fight...but can never say no

Posted by imissbarnaby36 on February 27, 2012 at 10:16 PM

prust looked like he was hurt going in to this one, never looked really to into it hes always hurt playin through shit but still cant turn down a fight gotta respect the dude

Posted by Rags4Life on February 27, 2012 at 10:21 PM

Boulton has had Prust's number ever since he got to the Rangers. Rumor is Prust is pretty banged up and was told not to fight, part of the reasoning the Rangers went and acquired John Scott. Possibly the reason Prust was forced into this scrap and not a willing combatant
