Knopsucker is horrible. He is a terrible fighter. Mc Swaid is better and didn;t do jack crap. Knopsucker is pathetic. Couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag. DO YOU BARSTARDS HEAR ME.. DO YA! DO YA! HE SUX period. SUX SUX SUX..........................

Posted by Dammit-Man on February 18, 2011 at 11:04 AM

Not even Sure Either one landed anything here the last swing by Konopka was clearly a miss, this was Barely worth watching, let alone calling it a fight

Posted by nighthawk walt on February 18, 2011 at 07:52 PM

Nobody landed anything.DRAW.

Posted by yngblonde1 on February 18, 2011 at 01:55 PM

I saw better fights in the lunch line at Pizza Hut

Posted by moneybags on February 18, 2011 at 04:26 AM

Ya, knip-knop really set the tone! the bruins kicked their asses after that "fight"------draw

Posted by slshbleed on February 18, 2011 at 01:47 PM

This is a little disappointing. Both guys have a little something in their fight game. If they can stay on their skates, it could have been a nice long brawl. I can't give a win to somebody on an armpit punch.

Posted by LA KING FANATIC on February 18, 2011 at 03:36 PM

jersey jabs and misses the fight sucked, too bad

Posted by paypaysmygirl on February 17, 2011 at 09:41 PM

hug fest as they say

Posted by hal29 on February 18, 2011 at 09:58 PM

Draw can't give it to either guy. McQuaid couldn't get going and Z only wanted to throw those jersey jabs. Those jersey jabs are the most annoying and useless punches and guys today use that punch way to much. Back when I played we never use jersey jabs we just threw.

Nada Bradda.

Posted by sedinfan on February 17, 2011 at 09:58 PM

Brutal fight. Looked like the movies my parents used to watch with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers dancing and hugging on the dance floor. I give that a 3 for a Stortini special.

Draw/ Edge Konopka

Posted by DARCY T on February 18, 2011 at 06:07 AM

none of them landed anything but they tried at least...gave it 4.but maybe it deserves lower rating

Posted by tattooedkingpin on February 17, 2011 at 09:58 PM

Konopka swung Mcquaid down but overall the fight was a draw

Posted by bruiser11 on February 17, 2011 at 10:33 PM

Homers homers, you're going to give Konopka a win for throwing a punch to McQuaid's shoulder and rideing him down at the end.

Posted by bgbdbrew70 on February 19, 2011 at 03:08 PM

draw how could it be anything else.

Posted by fernben8 on February 17, 2011 at 11:04 PM

Two equally rated fighters in my eyes... Konopka perhaps a little stronger but McQuaid a better puncher, Going with a Draw, The last right by ZK missed, was more of a pull down. Otherwise, never got going and uneventful. Gave it a 4,

Posted by Bruins29 on February 18, 2011 at 02:20 PM

They never really got it going. Draw.

Posted by Juha82 on February 18, 2011 at 03:11 AM

Not a good fight, not much landed at all. konopkas last shot doesnt land well at all. DRAW for sure. McQuaid landed the best punch in this one.

Posted by homeland on February 28, 2011 at 10:20 AM

eh, pretty much a draw. I dont give much credit for the takedowns at ends of fights

Posted by TommyGun29 on February 18, 2011 at 09:09 AM

Draw - both guys threw one big punch each and missed. Konopka"s last one looked like it knocked McQuaid down but it hardly connected and they fell. On the upside...Konopka didn't lose ......AGAIN.

Posted by bruins34 on February 18, 2011 at 07:52 PM

Crap fight. Mostly a draw, but have to give Zeno a slight nod since he got the take-down

Posted by Habs 3 on February 18, 2011 at 12:37 AM

Mcquaid has a wonderful future ahead of him, he is a great dman for Boston, saying that I still hate Boston with a passion but as a hockey fan, I see talent in this kid, all the respect to him, but he is no where at the level of Konopka fighting wise, Zenon wins

Posted by bobbyclark on February 17, 2011 at 09:43 PM

Say what you want about Z. But he shows up and he is an excellent faceoff man, a leader and he has balls. I'll take him over pussies like Avery who just uses his mouth. Fighting isn't all about winning it's about showing up.

Posted by BooSanta on February 25, 2011 at 09:05 PM

Konopka wins the rasslin part and nothing landed. bummer

Posted by b.t.wilson on February 17, 2011 at 10:19 PM

i have to give konopka the unfortunate edge, not because i think he knocked mcquaid down (i really don't), but it seems, though i loathe them, his jersey jabs did more than the mighty blows unleashed by mcquaid. too bad none of those really landed, and its too bad that more guys didn't throw like that. also a 3.

Posted by mudman55 on February 18, 2011 at 08:36 AM

I was really hoping for more with these 2. Have to give it to Z with the jabs. Last haymaker didn't land, but forced McQ to duck so violently that he fell.

Posted by Behn Wilson on February 19, 2011 at 01:07 AM

Gotta give a slight edge to Kopkars for... A) going looking for it in the first place, B) instigating the mutual lid toss, C) controlling most of the limited action, and D) ''sort of'' knocking him over (not down) at the end. Much like Erskine...I expected McQuaid to do better.

Posted by staceyb on February 18, 2011 at 06:48 PM

Z-man got McQ in this one. Milbury was bouncing off the wall between periods discussing the gangsters in the Islanders lineup, as though the Bruins are dressing choir boys to skate for them. We didn't see it here but Seidenberg laid a knee on knee hit on one of the Islanders and Travis Hamonic went after him. Shawn Thornton interceded and Hamonic quickly backed down.

Posted by AZfromNJ on February 18, 2011 at 05:00 PM

not much too see, Kupcakes for rink generalship if nothing else.

Posted by GreatMurray on February 21, 2011 at 07:37 AM

Konopka lands. McQuaid misses. Konopka wins.

Posted by koolpunch on February 17, 2011 at 09:51 PM

Took more time lining each other up than fighting. Konopka with the edge...

Posted by Blackbeard101 on February 17, 2011 at 11:05 PM

Wondering if they would ever engage!! Only meaningful blows landed were Konopka's pansey jersey jabs......Konopka with the win.

Posted by Clark75 on February 20, 2011 at 07:05 PM

Win Konopka

Posted by boldbilly on February 18, 2011 at 02:03 PM

Konopka with the win obviously ..............unless you're a Bruin fan. Then again they win or tie them all according to the Bruin faithfull.

Posted by Willy WILL on February 19, 2011 at 05:39 PM

Konopka with the slight edge in this bout...

Posted by sulley71 on February 22, 2011 at 10:03 AM

Slight edge to konopka.

Posted by kinga101 on February 17, 2011 at 10:09 PM

Konopka with the slight edge here against the much bigger McQuaid in an uneventful tilt.

Posted by mulligan on February 19, 2011 at 12:28 PM

edge to Z, but it wasn't much of a fight

Posted by Spazemunky on February 18, 2011 at 09:57 AM

Konopka got an Extra 2 because the ref thought the fight was "Premeditated". welcome to the next phase of weening fighting out of this game.

Posted by Bluetiedown44 on February 17, 2011 at 09:48 PM

Not a lot of contact here. Zenon lands some left sweater jabs and a good right as McQuaid settles in. McQuaid responds with several large rights that glance off Zenon's ducking shoulder. McQuaid loses his balance as Zenon throws a big right through the air. I am pretty sure McQuaid lost his balance, Konopka didn't knock him down. Too bad, was turning into an energetic fight.

Posted by GSP09 on February 17, 2011 at 10:14 PM

Konopka with the Knockdown punch at the end. McQuaid down where he belongs. Know I know that the stupid Boston fans are going to vote this a draw again.

Posted by ballgame247 on February 18, 2011 at 04:59 PM

i was at the game and i am positive zenon konopka won anyone who disagrees get your eyes checked

Posted by Jellyczar on February 18, 2011 at 08:50 AM

Nothing going on here....

Posted by samtheman77 on February 18, 2011 at 11:15 AM

McQuaid gets this close shoving match.

Posted by brokenhead on February 18, 2011 at 01:02 AM

Another draw.......

Posted by blackngold on February 19, 2011 at 11:03 PM

Last punch clearly missed by a country mile. Draw in a boring fight, as is usually the case when Konopka is a combatant.

Posted by chad420 on February 20, 2011 at 05:44 PM

LoneWolf McQuad draws with Planet Zenon....that last shot missed by a Country Mile.....2nd post ..dude thats funny i just read Blackngold

Posted by travist on February 17, 2011 at 11:27 PM

i like both taking off their lids...crap fight though.

Posted by omgitslafferty on February 17, 2011 at 11:39 PM

At least Konopka did more than hit him in the back.

McQuaid landed the best punch but i think this is a draw. Who voted for Konopka? BTW i love the decision by both guys to lose the helmets.
