Comments: Adams hits Hnidy hard along the boards and Hnidy turns around, grabbing Adams and shoving him up against the glass a few times. The two then drop the gloves and tie up rather quickly. Hnidy throws six rights to the back of Adams' head while Adams works successfully to get Hnidy's helmet off. Adams get Hnidy's jersey up and over his head and struggles to throw punches, getting off three rights prior to the linesmen rushing in to save Adams. Other Penalties: Each player received a roughing.

Comments: The whistle blows to stop play and Adams gives Vigier a late cross check and gloved punch along the boards. Vigier quickly drops his gloves and grabs Adams, who also follows suit and drops his mitts. Adams pushes Vigier into the boards, but the linesmen immediately intervene, just as Vigier is throwing an overhand right to Adams' back. Other Penalties: Garnet Exelby received a charging.

Comments: Behind the play the two drop the gloves and quickly grab each other. Exelby throws six straight rights to start things off while Hollweg attempts to block the punches. Hollweg throws three rights and misses with another just before Exelby goes over the top with an overhand right that causes him to lose his balance and fall to the ice. The linesmen allow the two to stand back up and Exelby throws three rights until he switches hands and connects with a right uppercut. The two then hold on and the linesmen intervene shortly after. Other Penalties: Exelby received a slashing.

Comments: The two meet up at center ice and quickly drop the mitts. They grab ahold of each other and quickly start throwing punches, exchanging simultaneous right hands. Orr throws two rights followed by one that misses over the top just before Boulton comes back with a right and an uppercut. They then exchange rights and Orr's shot connects right on the button, sending Boulton crumbling to the ice. Orr gets in another right while Boulton is on his knees, but the linesmen are quick to get in there and push Orr away. Boulton quickly gets up and each skate to their respective penalty boxes.

They exchange rights and Craig throws four more after that while de Vries tries to get loose. de Vries comes back with three rights and they wrestle around until they fall to the ice. Comments: A scrum develops in front of the Thrashers' net and out of it comes Battaglia and Coburn who have dropped the gloves and are grappling for position. They continue to wrestle around until they get up along the boards where Coburn gets in a right uppercut. Battaglia gets free and comes across with a right. Coburn comes back with a couple of body shots. Battaglia then throws two rights and Coburn fires off two uppercuts. Battaglia throws another right an attempts a locked-out uppercut just before the linesmen intervene and end the fight. Other Penalties: Coburn received a roughing.

Pratt throws a body shot followed by three more rights while he tries to shake off his elbow pad. Sim tries to duck away from the punches and struggles to get loose. Pratt lands a short right and then wrestles Sim down to his knees. Sim starts to stand back up, but the linesmen are right there to intervene and end it.

Comments: With a minute left in the second period, Coburn checks Zach Parise into the boards from behind and receives a boarding penalty. The third period begins and Coburn collides with Rupp along the boards during his next shift after serving the penalty. Rupp challenges Coburn and the two drop the gloves, shed the helmets, and square off at the blueline. Rupp grabs ahold of Coburn and connects with two straight rights, the second sending Coburn straight to the ice. Rupp gets in two more while Coburn is down and the linesmen quickly move in to grab Rupp and break things up.

Comments: Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and square off at center ice. They grab ahold of each other against the benches with Boulton nearly losing his balance. They each wrestle around, trying to get loose for a short moment until Godard gets set and lands two rights to the side of Boulton's head. Boulton comes back with a pair of overhand rights and Godard gets in another short right to the top of Boulton's head during the exchange. Godard then throws two uppercuts that connect followed by a right cross. Godard throws two more rights and Boulton returns fire with a quick right of his own. Godard gets Boulton in-tight and throws a flurry of short rights and body shots while Boulton just holds on. Boulton spins Godard around against the boards and throws an overhand right, but they just hold on until the linesmen intervene. Boulton skates away from the scrap with a bloody nose.

Comments: Exelby and Primeau exchange a few words near the blueline before deciding to drop the gloves. They immediately grab ahold of each other and Primeau throws two quick rights. Primeau falls down to his knees, allowing Exelby to get in a left just before he stands back up. Primeau throws two more rights and Exelby loses his balance and falls backwards to the ice shortly after that. The linesmen move on in and things are quickly broken up.

Comments: Behind the play they drop the gloves and grab onto each other next to the benches. Sim tries an overhand right that hits the side of Bell's helmet. Bell comes back with an uppercut that hits Sim's shoulder while Sim turns away from Bell. Sim sticks his head down and tries three times to get underneath Bell's left arm and stay there, but each time Bell is able to hold him off. Bell throws a right to the top of Sim's head and then pulls Sim's jersey up and over his head. Bell then connects with an uppercut and a right cross and quickly sends Sim to the ice. Bell lets go immediately and starts to skate to the penalty box. Sim remains down on the ice for a moment until he is helped to his feet by one of the linesmen.
