Comments: After some action near the net the whistle blows and a scrum forms. Bertuzzi pulls Henry out of the scrum and they drop em. Both are locked in with the left and throwing rights, although neither player can reach the other one well and the punches don't seem to land square or simply come up short. Henry tries to get loose from Bertuzzi's grip and winds up on his knees and the linesmen come in.

Comments: During a scrum, these two square off and Ferguson starts immediately with two nice jabs that snapped Goren's head back. The two wrestle a bit before Ferguson lands a few more good punches. Goren lands two shots late as Ferguson gets into an awkward position, leading to Goren getting a takedown to end the fight.

Comments: These two go right off of the faceoff. Boogaard starts with a big right that misses. They grapple and Boogaard locks out Brennan and throws a few that miss, but catches Brennan with a soft uppercut and another that might have connected. Boogaard switches hands and scores with a nice left. Brennan throws two that come up short. Boogard scores another left, then drops Brennan with a big right.

Comments: Off the faceoff, Boogaard lands an uppercut then a big right to the top of Fedoruk's head to send his helmet flying. A big right from Boogard misses, then a right connects to the top of Fedoruk's head. Lots of grappling for position, then Fedoruk lands a couple of rights. Fedoruk gets the sweater over Boogards's head and lands a few nice lefts. They trade punches, mostly missing, but at least one of Fedoruk's connecting. They get against the glass and the linesmen come in.

Comments: As Fernadez covers the puck, a scrum breaks out and Davison skates from the blueline to shove Boogaard. They separate from the crowd, push and shove for a few more seconds and then drop the gloves. Boogaard throws a right, hitting the side of Davison's helmet, while Davison misses with a right of his own. Davison keeps his distance to avoid Boogaard's reach and lunges in with a right that lands as Boogaard throws a left that misses over the top. After the both fall and get back up, Boogaard throws a right jab then three more over the top landing on the back of Davison's head. Davison misses with a wild left then again with a right, all the while ducking his head and keeping his distance. They get in close, Boogaard throws a weak right uppercut and they fall to the ice. Other Penalties: Boogaard received a cross checking.

Comments: As Fernandez covers the puck, Wiemer and Ferguson begin to shove each other. A crowd gathers as Boogaard tries to get at Wiemer, but he's held back by the officials. Wiemer and Ferguson skate away from the scrum and drop the gloves. Ferguson starts with two rights, both landing, then switches to the left and lands one. Wiemer begins to throw over the top, missing with two. They spin around as Wiemer tries to get free. He does and throws three more to the back of Ferguson's helmet. Ferguson loses his balance, falls to his knees, gets back up and takes another punch to the back of the helmet as Wiemer rips it off. They both miss with a right, then Ferguson throws a left jab. Wiemer switches to his left and lands three and Ferguson falls to the ice.

Comments: Right off the draw in the Flames' end the gloves are off. Montador throws two quick jabs and Wanvig loses his balance. As he falls, he flips Montador to the ice and throws two to the back of Montador's head. With both guys on the ice, the linesmen break up this quick fight.

Comments: Behind the Wild goal, Schultz nails Amonte from behind. Amonte gets up and shoves Schultz. Schultz drops his gloves and then Amonte drops his. They tie up and Amonte lands an uppercut and then throws three more rights, with two of them landing. Both guys go toe-to-toe with the rights, Schultz landing well, but Amonte throwing more. They tie up with Schultz throwing a couple of rabbit punches and then the linesmen break it up. Other Penalties: Amonte received an instigator and misconduct; Schultz a boarding.

Comments: Both guys wrestle to the ice with Brookbank landing a punch as they are down. They get back up and trade right hands. Boogaard lands a right and tries to get his arm out of his jersey. Brookbank comes back with a right when Boogaard gets him in a sort of spin cycle and lands about 6-7 unanswered punches. Brookbank throws a left, but Boogaard hits him on the temple, causing Brookbank to lose his balance and fall to the ice.

Comments: Boogaard throws a check up along the boards on Gillies, and that's all it takes for Gillies to drop the gloves. They immediately start throwing wild haymakers, with Boogaard throwing rights, Gillies with lefts and a couple seemingly landing. They spin around a couple of times, still throwing, as a few look to land. Gillies then gets sent off-balance, and Boogaard tries throwing a couple of uppercuts. Gillies comes back with another straight left connecting square on the cheek of Boogaard. Boogaard shows nice compusure, and pulls Gillies slightly off-balance, then lands a sneaky, and well placed uppercut and goodnight, down goes Gillies. Other Penalties: Gillies received an instigator and misconduct.

Comments: They drop the gloves right after the faceoff and square off. Laraque swipes to grab on to Boogaard and misses, but grabs hold of him the second time around. Boogaard throws a quick right as Laraque responds with two lefts. Laraque gets Boogaard's head down and throws a flurry of about 4-5 lefts that send Boogaard to the ice with Laraque on top.

Comments: They start pushing and shoving after the whistle as Stevenson throws a couple of gloved punches at Boogaard while players and linesmen come in. They grab onto each other and drop the gloves with a linesman between them. The linesman moves out of the way and they wrestle in tight along the boards. Stevenson goes down to a knee and gets back up as they move out into open ice. Boogaard throws two uppercuts as they spin around. Stevenson throws a right that knocks both players off-balance and to the ice. Other Penalties: Stevenson received a roughing; Kurtis Foster a hooking; Darcy Hordichuk a misconduct.

Vandenbussche switches hands again and throws two lefts while Henry is turned around. Henry turns back around and grabs on to Vandenbussche and throws a short left as they wrestle around for a bit. Vandenbuscche throws a locked out left and then a right before the two finally get loose. Henry throws a couple of rights as the two exchange numerous punches; Henry with rights, Vandenbussche with the left. Vandenbussche stops throwing as Henry throws a couple of more rights before Vandenbussche returns fire with a right of his own. Vandenbussche throws a left as the linesmen come in.

Boogaard's head goes down and Brashear continues to throw numerous unanswered lefts. They get in tight as Boogaard throws a locked out right. Brashear gets his left loose and throws 3-4 short uppercuts as Boogaard falls to the ice.

Konopka gets his right free and misses with an uppercut and a right as Henry struggles to get loose. Henry shakes off his elbow pad as Konopka pushes Henry up against the glass and lands two rights. Henry gets Konopka's helmet off before Konopka throws him against the glass once again and throws a right. Henry finally gets free and throws three rights, connecting with two as they spin around. Henry then wrestles Konopka to his knees as the linesmen come in.

They continue to wrestle around until Simon gets his left hand free and connects with four straight punches as Boogaard backs away and misses with a right that Simon ducks under. Boogaard then throws three long rights to the back of Simon's helmet. Boogaard misses with a right before they lose their balance and fall to the ice.

They exchange right hands some more before McGrattan lands a few more jersey-jabs. McGrattan throws 4-5 rights to the back and side of Boogaard's head as Boogaard tries to move away from the punches. Boogaard then almost loses his balance as McGrattan throws four more rights with two of them landing. McGrattan lands two jersey-jabs and a right before Boogaard returns fire with two rights to the back of McGrattan's head. The two begin to exchange right hands once again as Boogaard connects with a big right that knocks McGrattan to the ice. Boogaard lands another right while they are falling.

They wrestle up against the boards as Gauthier throws a left that almost knocks Veilleux off-balance before landing two body shots. The linesmen come in shortly after.

Zyuzin falls on the ice in pain, blood dripping from his forehead as the trainers rush out onto the playing surface. Meanwhile, Mitchell goes straight after Doan and they drop the mitts. They grab on as Mitchell throws two lefts to the side of Doan's helmet. They tie up and Doan misses with a right before Mitchell connects with a left hook. Mitchell loses his balance for a moment and returns to his feet as the two wrestle around. Mitchell throws two lefts as Doan is bent over before the linesmen intervene. Other Penalties: Mitchell received an instigator and misconduct.

Comments: Shortly after the faceoff these two drop the gloves and grab onto one another. Shelley starts off with an awkward right. Boogaard returns fire with a right of his own just a second later. Boogaard sticks with the right throwing about four more with Shelley sneaking in one too. They grapple for a moment and Boogaard throws about five rights to the body. Shelley breaks the momentum with a missed uppercut. Another moment of grappling before Boogaard lands a straight right. He then attempts a couple of more shots, but they seem to come up short, as does Shelley's counterpunch. They're grappling and trying to mix in shots that don't seem to land. Boogaard attempts to bounce Shelley off of the boards and throw an immediate right, but Shelley ducks under it. Shelley then misses with a monster over the top left and falls to the ice. Boogaard gets another couple of rights in before the linesmen come in to break it up.

Boogaard drops his gloves and proceeds to connect with a right that sends Spiller to the ice, bringing Boogaard with him. Boogaard throws two more rights while they are down.

Comments: Directly after the faceoff, they drop the gloves, tie up and Laraque throws two quick lefts. Laraque then throws three rights, ripping Boogaard's helmet off in between punches as Boogaard throws a right cross. Laraque loses his balance and goes down to his knees before returning to his feet and fending off four straight rights from Boogaard that all come up short. Laraque turns Boogaard around and lands four rights to the back of his head. Laraque goes down to his knees again as Boogaard throws two rights to the back of Laraque's helmet. They wrestle around for a bit as Boogaard lands a right before the two exchange rabbit punches. They then exchange right hands and Laraque wrestles Boogaard to the ice and lands a right as they are falling. The linesmen seperate the two and Boogaard skates away with a small cut on the side of his face.

Kesler knocks Veilleux's helmet off as Veilleux throws six overhand rights before Kesler even has his gloves off. Veilleux lands two more before Kesler gets his mitts off and unleashes a flurry of 12 straight punches to the back and side of Veilleux's head. Kesler lands another short right as Veilleux connects with a right to the back of Kesler's head. The two then hold on until the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Veilleux received a roughing.

Boogaard drops his gloves and lands a left jab as May responds with a gloved left. The linesmen quickly try to jump in between the two as Boogaard tries to throw a right around the linesmen while May still has gloves and stick in hand. The linesmen continue to try and separate the two as May throws a short left that hits the front of Boogaard's helmet. Things finally calm down and the two skate to the penalty box. Other Penalties: Boogaard received a slashing.

The two grapple some more and Boogaard connects with a right before the two go down to their knees. They return to their feet as Laraque throws Boogaard down to the ice and the linesmen come in.

Boughner returns fire with lefts himself, the last one Henry attempts to avoid, but is leaning awkwardly, falls to the ice, and Boughner goes down with him. Henry's up fast and pulls Boughner up with him, but the linesmen break it up before they can continue.

Off to the side, Veilleux drops his gloves and starts throwing rights at an unaware Vrbata. Veilleux tries to turn Vrbata around and get some more shots in but the linesmen are quick to get there and seperate the two. Other Penalties: Veilleux received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct; Vrbata, Michal Barinka and Alex Henry each received a roughing. Radim Vrbata did not receive a fighting major.
