Did I just see Avery...

A) step in to protect his goalie from some post-whistle slashing,
B) instigate a fight, with Asham, of all people,
C) go toe to toe with an above average middleweight,
D) and finally, yank him to the ice for emphasis...

¨Senator...I knew Sean Avery...and that sir...was no Sean Avery¨.

Given how long it took him to get ready by adjusting his helmet and shaking off the arm pad I'm surprised Asham didn't put on his lipstick as well. What was he waiting for? Anytime you have Pearl Harbor Avery in your grips you have to throw 'em first given Avery's tendency to sucker punch. That fight symbolized the Pens third period collapse in last night's debacle.

Avery has been busy after a quiet year last year. Will always be a little prick no matter how you look at him. It is too bad Asham didn't get time and his arm free, I think Asham might have tuned him in.

Nothing wrong with Avery's intention....apparently got his team going after this fight to make it a game.
Asham took it too casual at the start .
Avery is a type of fighter who likes to get off to a quick start and throws quickly so you have to be ready for him.
All in all...not much going on.
Call it a Draw

Cant give Avery the Win here. Ahsham would have smoked him had he got his arm loose. Draw

Was there another fight I didn't see where Avery wins? Draw.
At least Asham knew who he was fighting and popped him from his back knowing the pansy would be punching down.

Did you know Pro Active solved P.Diddy's acne problem?

Love asham , but i'm also the anamoly because im a flyers fan who likes sean avery because of his entertainment value - i used to hate his guts but grew to like him and he does fight his own battles...and asham is no slouch.

Are peoples hating so much Avery that they cant give the edge/narrow win for him???

Strong EDGE Avery who landed couple more in this nice tilt.

it's a shame Asham never got going, I thought Avery was going to get dropped...

Double A should have buried that punk but Avery ESCAPES with a draw.

Draw. If Asham wouldn't have caught a rut in the ice/tripped it probably would have ended much different.

Too bad Asham couldn't get his arm out of his jersey. The ending was typical Avery, he always throws a couple punches while the other guy is on the ice. Looked like the refs were expecting the late cheap shots.
