Wow...early KO of the year candidate.

You'd figure that by growing up with a name like Beagle,
you'd have some first hand experience in the art of fisticuffs...
but in this case...not even the presence of a full body visor
could prevent Asham from, seriously, walking the dog.
Ouch!

Non-fighter Beagle gets crunched by AA, doing it doggie-style.

I read that afterward that Asham apologized for his post-fight mocking and well he should have.

I love fighting or I wouldn't be on here and I have always like Asham, but that little display after the fight was classless and I hope someone that actually fights beats the hell out of him. What a loser, I hope Mcintyre, big John Scott or Parros gets a hold of him. I actually enjoy the odd fight like that seeing someone KO'd, but I never thought I would have to compare Asham to Avery or Cooke on the loser scale. So much for the respect code most of these enforcers usually share.

First -- The Pens announcers are horrible -- I turned the sound off once I heard it was them -- don't know what they actually said here, probably how Sidney Crosby would have done better than Asham (after he was done turning water into wine)
Second -- Beagle is not a fighter and it showed, he did well until the veteran got his right free and then, lights (and teeth) out Beagle
Third -- Le(poon)tang should take care of himself and not have Asham handle what is effectively a non-fighting rookie on his behalf. Lame

Letang gets hounded by Beagle,
Asham answers by doing some house training
and rubbing his nose in it.
Come on Arron...you've got a better pedigree line than that !

Giving a KO 7. Ouch.

Gotta love Ashy. He was actually losing the fight until those thunderous rights....Not a fan of the antics, but sometimes emotions get the better of you in those instances, so I'll let it slide.

I don't like the sleepy time move by Asham. When you show the nuts in poker, you don't ask to see the other players cards when they muck. When you knock a guy out, you should just skate to the box.

The best way to knock someone out is to punch them on the jaw. A punch on the jaw is a punch on the brain stem. A punch on the brain stem will put you to sleep. Punching a face shield is hard on the hands. If you were fighting, you would try to avoid punching it. Your not going to punch above it. Then you would be landing punches on the top of the helmet-also hard on the hands. You are going to aim low below the face shield. I think that is what happened here. The shield hurt more than it helped.

I'm gonna run like beagle to tree. Run like a beagle let my spirit carry me......

Asham is a beast. I don't like seeing that kind viciousness to be honest, just doesn't look right for a hockey fight... have to wonder if that was the visor or the gigantic steel fist that did the damage. Asham, dominating 8, clown score at 4.

(Thank you SJ9096 for the quote, sounds more like the Asham we all know and love).

Beagle tried all night to stir things up and for some reason thought he would go with Asham?? Doubtful that will happen ever again.

Post fight antics aside, that was a wicked KO. Beagle started alright, but once Asham got going, there was no doubt who was better. Asham has since stated he regretted the taunting, and I really don't think it was that bad. He even reached out to Beagle to say he was sorry. I'm not a fan of it, but it's not like Brashear sucker punching Ward and wiping his hands together like he just handled his business.

Asham is not worried about being a marked man. Making the baseball out gesture and the sleep gesture was minor league but it was a home audience and they were losing so no big deal.

Beagle looking for trouble and Asham answers the call and hands it to him, good work by Asham, stinger of a punch.
