You can't seriously fault a man for deciding to not allow his opponent to land a punch. Look, it is a talent to be able to end a fight on your own terms whenever you want. If Laraque was really angry at Orr then believe me he could crush his face. But BGL doesn't hate...he just dominates. He is strong as an ox on skates. Not many others can manhandle their opponent so easily. It is a long season and there is no need to absorb headshots from big punchers to prove a point. If BGL fought the way everyone wanted him to fight he would have probably had to call it a career already. Everyone wants to fight him and he is too polite to turn them down. What more do you want?

Pretty good fight. Called her a five and a draw.

Laraque looked like a clown after taking a few shots. Takedowns belong in Judo, and hugs are for cripples and retards. Win for Orr.

Win for my man and new leaf Orr! More active! Laraque wanted to hug too much!

Orr with the punches, Laraque with the takedown. I can't see a Laraque win for this. Orr or a draw, but I liked Orr's fast start.

BGL with the lame takedown again! Clearly a draw.

Orr and Laraque are both on the ice for their 1st shift of the game and they line up beside each other at a face off. Both guys then started talking to one another and once the puck was dropped both of them dropped their gloves and squared off near centre ice.

Orr wasted no time in coming in and getting the fight started as he throws five right hands at Laraque but none of these looked to land cleanly. They then clinched up with each other before Laraque freed up his left hand and threw six short lefts at Orr landing at least two of these cleanly before Orr responded with a few quick rights landing a couple of these and then throwing a few towards the back of Laraque's head. They then came in tight again and clinched but Laraque used his strength to throw Orr down to the ice to end the fight.

Good start to the regular season with two of last years top fighters dropping the gloves early in the game. Orr threw a bunch of early right hands but none really landed before Laraque landed a few decent lefts. Orr the responded with a few rights and Laraque took Orr down to the ice. Looks to me as if it's a solid draw as neither guy looked to get the upper hand and both landed about the same amount of punches.

Draw.

Close to a Draw but Orr got a few good ones in, slight edge to Orr but very close to a draw. Clearly this place is full of habs fans.
