Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
May 27, 2004 Calgary Flames Chris Simon
3pd 08:31 Tampa Bay Lightning Andre Roy
Comments: Roy tripped Kiprusoff and Simon went right after him. Simon started strong with a few big lefts. Roy loses balance, almost falls, but doesn't, then regains his balance and they both trade some good shots. They hold on a little and Roy lands a good right and then falls with Simon on top. Other Penalties: Simon received an instigator and misconduct; Chris Dingman a double roughing, misconduct and game misconduct.

Simon did it bit better than Roy.
Roy comesback later, but it wasn't enough for the draw.
Simon with the takedown.
Simon's strongest moment was at the start as he landed about two big punches.
Mostly their punches does come more shortly to the mark in this nice battle.
C.Simon was a narrow winner.

Simon more or less jumped Roy after the accidental trip of Kiprusoff. Simon wins because he landed more punches.

Being a Calgary fan I really miss having Chris Simon in Calgary, yes I know most of you losers will say how dirty he is and wank about his recent suspension and how much you hate Calgary and why Phaneuf and Iginla are junk. But the fact of the matter is when he was in Calgary Simon contributed on the ice, he wasn't the kind of guy to go looking for scraps but he would stand up for his teammates when he had to. If you looked at his fighting numbers that season they were down quite a bit from previous years and his point totals were respectable (not great).

Calgary would be a good start

Good scrap. Simon hit Roy with a couple but Andre came back strong and took the win, tying up Simon's left like a champ.

Man that brings back memories when the Lightning won the cup.
