I got excited when I heard these two fought. First of all, Chara is one of the toughest fighters in the league. He just doesn't fight much - cause he is too valuable. Artyukhin is kind of an unknown. He is extremely strong and can also play. It would be good to see how a unvisored Artyukhin would do in a 'staged' fight against a real tough guy. Chara got the jump on Artyukhin early but that second jersey-jab by Artyukhin looked like it really caught Chara by surprise and stunned him a little. Artyukhin got the takedown. I have not really seen Chara out-muscled in a fight before. I think if this fight went toe-to-toe from a draw - when they were both prepared - I have a hunch that Artyukhin might be the real deal and would shock the world with a win. Having said that, if it was against a Godard, Belak, or Laraque - I don't think he would win. Crazy?

Chara with the edge but good on Artyukhin for doing it. I firmly believe that Chara could be the number 1 fighter in the league if he wasn't so absolutely valuable to his team doing everything else. Like my Wilson brother said, an angry Chara is someone you do not want to mess with. Ask Vinny.

Chara wins easily. Visor boy should wear a cage, too

Big Z seemed like he wanted to go more, and his punches seemed to land a little, but the visor definitely made him throw less. Still, a win for Giganto.

First, Chara doesn't engage Artyukin face to face but from behind. That initial, "sucker" face wash is the only contact in this non-fight. Then Chara proceeds to do his best impression of a windmill. Artyukhin, the stronger of the two, just holds him off. Had Chara engaged Artyukhin face to face like a man instead of from behind like a sucker maybe we could have seen these two really go. I have been watching Lightning hockry for years. Artyukhin has never lost a fight. Ever. The Boston anouncers are the bigest bunch of ass kissin' homers I have ever heard. Hope that Boston goes out in four in the first round.

Chara jumped him...gutless move...no time to take off the visor...and I hate Arty, but no class Capt. Z.

Big C lost his balance from a jersey-jab while trying to crack that visor. Apparently he hates large Europeans.

as usual, the northern homers got it wrong, chara swung more and hit nothing artyukins 2 jabs connected, that russian visor or no visor is one rocky movie big dude

Homers vs homers in the voting here. Apparently, more Bruins homers than Lightning homers on the sight. Big Z starts with an ambush and maybe scored with 2 punches, maybe! Hard to tell from the camera angle. Arty hangs in there and scores a couple good jersey jabs, which last time I checked, still hurt if you get hit in the right spot. Arty finishes by rag-dolling big Z and the two giants tumble to the ice. Draw at best, no clear cut winner you bunch of homers.

Wow I didnt know jabs and the take down (aka missed punch and a slip) qualfied for a win. I guess for some the scrap with Artyukhin must have been pretty damaging to Chara. Artyukhin just dominated Chara, showing class with his visor and holding on. Must be the same homo's that vote Parros the win without watchin his fights and think BGL created the code and has always lived by it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z94-qEPtiLM

Chara with the win

Those of you who feel the need to take your cheap shots at Americans, maybe while your at it, you should stop taking handouts(i.e. foreign aid for all you clueless morons)from us.

mcb and bruiseyoureye, I see your mama's are still at it but now they are taking it up the arse! You two can practice that as well since your pathetic habs s.u.c.k and arent worth watching.

I hate giving Arty any credit here for fighting with a visor on. I'm with MM here... why is he running around playing tough guy with a near full sheild on? WTF?
