Visors belong in Europe not in North America. Artyukhin should carry a back pack, too,,, for his make up.

The Finn got dominated by the much bigger Russian! Easy win for Artyukhin!

At first glance, it didn't look like Arty wanted to fight. Not sure what Peltonen was thinking, but good try.

the announcer has a point. this fight didn't need to happen but to bad so sad. if peltonen didn't drop the gloves then i'ld agree but if you drop your gloves with a guy way bigger then yourself this is what'll happen.

Ok... Here's the scoop. Peltonen was upset about a check from Arty he received in January. Arty actually got a 2 game suspension for it. Obviously, Peltonen was still sore over the whole thing, as he dropped the gloves first, and went after Arty. Arty has a right to defend himself. Therefore, Peltonen got the beat down he apparently wanted.

Now, as for Arty being a punk for not fighting enforcers or whatever, I see your point. He's a big, exceedingly strong guy, which makes him appear to be a goon. However, that's not his role for the Lightning. David Koci is the team's enforcer. Arty is on the 3rd and 4th lines as a forechecker and a distracter. He's very good at dispossessing people of the puck and making them think twice about holding onto it too long. Don't make the mistake of thinking of him as something that he is not. His skills as a hockey player are more valuable than his fists. But, if you go after him, you'd best be prepared for a rough time.

What??? I think Peltonen should match up well with Alexander Semin from the Caps. If this was something from a previous game, you've got to give Peltonen some credit for going after him, but Artyukhin is a top-flight heavyweight. Easy win for Artyukhin.

Lightningfan76 you are a f?!&in' big p@&*y! How stupid are you? You say that Peltonen is afraid!?!?! WHAT?

Obviously W for Art, but if Ville was scared for that, why he started this??!?

Great effort from Ville!

the russian is strong as a bull, reminds me of russian fighter in ROCKY movie, if he got meaner, he would tear up everyone who got in his way. Gary roberts said he is the strongest player he has ever seen.

This was definitely from earlier this season when Artyukhin took Peltonen out with a deliberate cheap shot knee. An obviously easy win for Artyukhin, but kudos to Ville for dropping the gloves.

Visors belong to hockey players intelligent enough to protect themselves. You don't replace or fix an eye...

Peltonen's death wish ! NEXT....

It is not worth rating, that was very silly of Peltonen, there was no chance. But I have to rate Artyukhin 10 owing to all his existing fights, he has destroyed all the opponents he has been fighting till now.

All balls to Peltonen! What a set on the little man for going after the big oaf!

You people talk so much crap about Artyukhin, but if you were on the ice with him, the same thing would happen to you. And you can tell by his face that he knew it was unfair. Clear W for Artyukhin. He's an animal.
