Vandermeer never got it going. The fight was way too short for Vandermeer. He needs to go about 3 min. I think Vandermeer wins 9 times out of 10 against this guy. You have to call a spade a spade. Win for Conboy.

Conboy is lucky he got his punches in and then got Vandermeer down to the ice. As other commenters insinuated, Jimmy was just waiting. There was nothing about his grappling that suggested that he was the even slightest bit tired. Lucky lucky Conboy.

Yeah, not throwing a punch does limit your chances to win.
And Vandermeer is a pretty good scrapper. Maybe he was testing his chin.

Vandy appeared to have no intention of ever throwing a punch in this one. Watch it and see if you can find anywhere he even tried to. I can't! Vandy beats him 9 times out of 10 if he wants to, but obviously Conboy gets the win as he was the only one even trying to fight!

Not Vadermeer's best here - Win Conboy. BTW its easy for morons on this site who have never been in a hockey fight to be critical, If you've never been in a fight, stop commenting.

Win Conboy. WTF's with Iginla? He's the only Flame I like and usually plays a stand up game but I think that he may have started letting his bitch team mates influence his play and succumbed to Flamitis. He wants to fight Staal(no hero points there) and then when Gleason comes in, a guy who can actually fight and take care of himself, Iginla punks/Flames out. Lost some respect for him there.

conboy with the win in this fight.

I think Jim Van didn't throw a punch because he thought Conboy was trying to give him a hicky. If Conboy would have let go a fought like a real fighter Jim would've f$^%ked him up. DRAW

Smart move by Iggy not fighting in a 5-0 game, why fight if it's not your job

Vandie just doesn't fight in this one- looked like he just didn't want to throw any at all.

this video cut out conboy bodyslamming vandermeer to the ice. was a great fight to be at the arena for.

Conboy also knew he kicked his ass, he didnt call to the crowd, but he had an extra hop in his step heading into the box, he went without a linesman escorting him, with a nice smirk on his face

Win Conboy. Too bad Iginla didn't have the guts to drop the gloves with Gleason earlier.

A very affectionate Conboy gives the only shots here. Vandy is tough, too bad he couldn't break the love hold
