impressive technical effort by Thorton switching to the left and taking a clean win.....seems like Andrew is only half way back this year....he isn't sucking as bad as last year but still seems to lack the confidence he had two seasons ago...he suffers a bit from the Tony Twist syndrom in that he throws bit punches but he has terrible accuracy.....Thorton switching to his left should have opened up room for his right but Thorton kind of manhandled him and got him off balance.....if you watch the slow motion second part of the clip really only one punch seemed to land here and it was Thorton's last shot as Peters was off balance.....this fight looked a bit better on first glance but didn't hold up too well on the replay

Not sure where all these Peters votes are coming from. Looked like the same old Peters, swooping over the top crap. However he has been better this year, but not in this fight. Thornton took a good shot, recovered. and actually surprised Peters by going lefty and doing some damage. Not a huge fan of either, but I see a win for Thornton.

Peters lost his momentum later.
Thornton did land solid last punch.
EDGE goes to him.

Thorton a much better tactical fighter... Peters depends on bombs that didn't happen... DRAW....

It's pretty clear folks are seeing this through homer-colored glasses. Peters didn't hit Thornton once with those over the top whiffs, and Thornton didn't hit Peters until they fell, and that was glancing at best. They gave it a go, but draw.

Very close tilt, but I have to give the edge to Thornton.....He took a few in the back of the head, but came through with a few good lefts at the end.

Draw. I think Thornton would be pretty good if he had another 3 inches and 20 lbs. The boy has some fighting skills, although that doesn't always translate to the ice

Did Thornton actually land a punch worthy of giving him the win? I didn't see anything connect. Pretty much a non event kind of fight, Draw.

Pretty good scrap. It was nice of the announcer to give the take to Thorton because that is all he did. Peters bounced a boatload of punches off Thorton's head. Peters all the way. Boston, Lucic is the only fighter on your team worth watching.

Peters landed more. Thorton landed one.

Petey early - Thorton late. Go with Petey in a close win. More active/more landed. Like the way big Andrew is trowing 'em this year

love to see all the tough guys in here take just one of Thorton's "punches that did nothing"........you all would drop like a stone. Borderline draw/edge to Thorton since I dont regard Peters punches to the back of the head as legit punches. For all you guys complaining about hysterical Jack Edwards......we cant stand him either, but dont lump Andy Brickley into that same heep. If you know anything at all about the game, you'd know he is one of the best analyst in the game today. It wasnt his choice to put Edwards in the booth next to him.

Thornton started very strong and continued throughout. Peters did very well and got the blow that led to the takedown. I have to be honest and give it to Peters for a very strong last surge. Note: If the instigator rule didn't exist Thornton would get more just because I think his start is his strong point. With no instigator rule many would do better and hockey would too. Kudos to Thornton.
