lame draw, but the intent was evident

Posted by rugby on October 18, 2008 at 05:48 PM

Parros has really gone downhill since breaking in to the bigs and now seems very reluctant to square up and trade shots (not that Shelley was either). I think George should go to the local Y and enrol in some core stability/balance training classes.

Did either of them really land anything? Draw in a snoozer. I think we all on this site are pretty spoiled after Boll vs. Barch and Godard vs. Cote (to name a couple). Every other fight sucks! haha.

Nothing landed here. Draw

These two players have each other for job security. Neither has any hockey skills whatsoever other than to fight the other team's heavyweight. Well, make it a good fight then--this one sure wasn't.

Jody is one of those sicking tired to watch fighters. Could you say something about his fights, good balance (okey!?)

mailman1194 - you are right/I looked at it again/it was a good hit ok fight / not great by any means / I am leaning toward a draw - I wasn't thrilled with Parros's hit on Boyle / it just looked like a crosscheck to me...

Posted by Spanky_Jazz on October 18, 2008 at 04:58 AM

Not much going on. Decent job by both guys. I give it a draw.

Posted by Ragtop1day on October 18, 2008 at 08:47 AM

did anybody land anything ?

Posted by kaybeth1 on November 29, 2008 at 10:41 PM

nothing great here ...wrestling match at best ...no cashman -shoenfeld through the zamboni doors that's for sure... should have skipped this one and had another donut

Posted by dukeofearle on October 18, 2008 at 02:39 PM

Draw. Kudos to Shelley for letting Parros know.

Posted by mikebflorida on October 18, 2008 at 01:38 PM

Not much landing here in a decent fight. DRAW

Posted by Sukoshi84 on October 18, 2008 at 11:12 AM

Draw, not even close to having a winner...... shelly landed the best shot of the fight but still a sloppy draw. Parros actually kept his balance quite well during this fight which is good to see

Posted by Juha82 on October 18, 2008 at 02:57 AM

decent fight,draw

Posted by b.t.wilson on October 18, 2008 at 09:18 AM

Draw. Loved the hit though.

Posted by tattooedkingpin on October 18, 2008 at 05:00 PM

Once again Parros looked lost out there. Nice uppercut though. that takedown looked painful.

Draw.... somedbody needs to bleed when these two fight to make it entertaining

really nice fight. entertaining. shelley did good. i was thinking of giving the W to him. but then parros managed to get into it good. its close so i call it a draw good fight by both tuff guys

Nice scrap, and obviously a draw

Posted by blackgoldfan on October 18, 2008 at 07:46 PM

Lots of puches thrown but not very many connect. "E" for effort but no "W" to be seen. ( I wonder why parros didn't want to fight macintire the other nite?) DRAW.

Posted by IrishTerror317 on October 18, 2008 at 04:29 PM

Draw, both guys put in a good performance.

Slight edge to Shelley

Posted by tomales on October 18, 2008 at 03:25 AM

I love the fools who, at times, speak of a fighter's appearance on this site. There's probably a "special" site for those so preoccupied. Jody was OK-a balance problem though. He usually does just fine against Parros. As far as any fighter being somewhat defensive in a fight, so what? Although crowd pleasing, only a complete idiot or a masochist wants to stand there and be hit. The objective is to win the fight, yet suffer minimal damage. Edge Parros.

Posted by keshtopher on November 17, 2009 at 09:54 AM

Shelley with the win over parros just like every time they fight

Posted by grayhares on October 21, 2008 at 10:20 AM

Shelley pushed the action and Parros kept ducking like a little girl. Win Shelley

Posted by BuffSabs76 on October 18, 2008 at 10:30 AM

Parros did his old throw and "duck" method. Some good shots in a decent fight by the big boys. Win to Shelley.

Overall nice fight

Posted by Chiefshockee09 on November 17, 2008 at 02:45 PM

Not a very good fight but give it to Parros for that hit that led to the fight.

Posted by eadamson on October 18, 2008 at 11:27 AM

Not a great fight... Parros gets one or two okay shots in at the beginning, then they both shake each other for a while, and shelley wresltles parros down... Slight edge parros, but that shouldn't mean much.

Posted by mailman1194 on October 18, 2008 at 03:06 AM

"crosscheck"???? Parros puts a shoulder to homers face. That's what usually happens when you don't keep your head up. Good clean hit by Parros followed by a defensive "please don't make my face look worse" fight by Shelley.

Posted by snowave on October 18, 2008 at 02:51 AM

the hit was the best part. edge Parros.

Posted by mrfistykuffs on November 03, 2008 at 12:47 AM

The only good connection was the upper cut Parros through toward the end of the fight. Snapped Shelley's head back.

Posted by Bear72 on October 18, 2008 at 10:46 AM

Good bout outcome to parros round 2 should be a dandy

Posted by Parros_16 on October 18, 2008 at 01:35 AM

Gave it to Parros tossed him around and landed some good upppercuts Shelly did nothing to impress me

Posted by grhe on October 23, 2008 at 10:19 PM

Would have called draw/slight advantage to Shelley though I hate the Sweater Jabs, but that uppercut was a huge punch. Not sure how one could say nothing landed. Shelley drew blood and Parros split Shelley open with the uppercut.

Posted by SOCALFAN on October 19, 2008 at 08:03 PM

Other than the take down Parros was the clear winner. Nice uppercut.

Posted by gmr133 on October 18, 2008 at 03:44 PM

George Parros--one of the best fighters in the NHL??? Who the hell are the homer announcers watching? Parros cant even deliver a cheap shot check without falling down.

Posted by tony0786 on October 18, 2008 at 03:58 PM

Bitch move by Parros going after Boyle. If he wants a fight he knows where to go.

Posted by iceman10 on October 19, 2008 at 12:47 AM

Parros got the shots, Shelley got the take-down. Draw.

Posted by Weasel Wheelie on March 20, 2009 at 03:57 PM

Shelley was the aggressor and landed more punches. Pretty easy decision-wise.

Posted by chad420 on July 21, 2009 at 05:11 PM

edge shelley

Posted by greenwood on June 25, 2009 at 09:22 PM

Too many glancing blows to be a great fight, but a solid effort by both heavywieghts. I give Shelley the edge.
