Comments: Starts at the Caps blueline as Witt is giving extra shoves to Thornton. Lapoine steps in and Witt turns away, but Marty holds on and the gloves come off. Lapointe lands an immediate left which cut Witt pretty bad. Witt comes back with a couple of rights and Marty returns some with a couple of uppercuts. Lots of blood pouring out as Witt headed to the locker room for repairs. Other Penalties: Lapointe received an instigator and misconduct.
