Comments: Lapointe and Hollweg run into each other near the side boards and proceed to drop the gloves. They grab onto each other and Lapointe gets in a right that Hollweg counters with a couple of short lefts. Lapointe throws a few rabbit punches to the back of Hollweg's head and they then go toe-to-toe with rapid fire punches: Hollweg with lefts, Lapointe with rights. Lapointe lands two rights to the back of Hollweg's head once Hollweg stops throwing. Hollweg goes down to his knees, but quickly stands back up. Lapointe then throws a flurry of nine straight rights with about three of them landing and the rest hitting helmet or just missing. Lapointe connects with another right cross and the redness around Hollweg's left eye begins to worsen. Lapointe continues to connect with rights to Hollweg's helmet while Hollweg struggles to get loose. Hollweg attempts a locked-out right and Lapointe gets in yet another right hand just before Hollweg is able to shake his elbow pad off. Hollweg attempts another locked-out right and Lapointe just wrestles him to the ice with the linesmen intervening shortly after they hit the ice.

Totally domination by Lapointe.
Hollweg is willing but a pretty bad fighter.

Lapointe, a strongly underrated middleweight outpunches the willing but not so good Hollweg as you would expect.

Lapointe by a landslide. He landed alot of his punches. It looked like Hollweg was happy just to hold on.

Lapointe did a good job tieing up Hollweg's jersey while landing some punches. Hollweg got a few in early, but Lapointe landed much more. Edge to Lapointe.

Pretty lopsided fight there.Hollweg couldn't get free, and Lapointe was just too much for him. I went to the game last night and from where I was standing, the other side of the rink 3 rows from the ice, it didn't look so bad... Now that i saw the fight prefectly... Jesus, can somebody throw in the towel for Hollweg! I don't know how he takes such a beating day in and day out, but he still keeps going! He will always fight, even if the other guy is better than him.

Hollweg seems to be the tie-up king , willing to go but not a great fighter .

Lapointe should fight more often, Hollweg is a great punching bag!

hollweg throws a couple that knock off the helmet, then the rest of the fight is all lapointe with rights, clear win for lapointe, no way you can call it a win for hollweg or a draw, its clearly a win for lapointe

Lapointe tied him up nicely and proceeded to feed him right after right.
Hollweg couldn't do anything.

Lapointe mostly got the back of his helmet...no damage to the Ranger but only to Lapointe's hand.

Love Fest - not the Marty Lapointe I came to know during his days with the Wings. Dude has guns bigger than Hogan! Suprised he didn't throw Hollweg out of MSG.

Lapointe through Hollweg around like a ragdoll. Haven't really seen Hollweg do well in a scrap all year. He's game but he basically hangs on for dear life
