Daniel Carcillo vs Jamal Mayers

This one starts at the opening facoff. Mayers and Carcillo have a long square off. Each of them throw a few head feints before the first punch is thrown. Cacillo starts first with a left jab, missing. Mayers counters with a right, missing target. Carcillo attempts to grab to get a firm hold, but Mayers dodges that as well. Mayers attempts to grab with his right-Carcillo leaning back avoiding. Carcillo throws a left -missing. Mayers counters with a right, but no dice. Carcillo does a 180-spins back around to face Mayers. Another brief square off before Mayers finally is able to grab Carcillos sweater with his left arm. Carcillo nails Mayers with a solid right to the back of Mayers head, but hitting mostly helmet. Mayers tries repositioning, and throws 2 quick rights, connecting to mostly Carcillos helmet. Mayers tries with a 3rd consecutive right, going over Carcillos head. Carcillo immediately with follows with 2 rights. Mayers is bent down. As Carcillo continues the barrage of right punches, Mayers falls face forward onto the ice-spins around as Carcillo feeds him 1 or 2 more punches before the refs come in.

Not an exciting bout. Carcillo gets the narrow win. I can't tell how solid the last few of Carcillos punches were, but they connected-either they were helmet shots or solid. The last 10 seconds of the video feed switches from close up to a far away shot.
