Love the explosive start by both guys.
Rypien with the early lefts,
but once Mayers gets his helmet off,
he bests him at his own game of ''two-fistedness''.
The fall seemed a slip, although Rypien punched him all the way down
in order to help his case for the win.

Rypien early, and late,
with Mayers owning the middle,
and landing the better shots.
Draw.

No bigger fan of the Canucks than me. So please homers, don't go into the Rypien did this, Rypien did that description. Mayers fell down at the end but won the fight. Rypien lost like the Canucks always do. i think they have had 63 fights this year, and I estimate their record at about 10 wins, 45 losses and 8 draws. Good team, although Lou scares me the way he has been playing in the playoffs. Luckily there is very little fighting in playoffs so they can't get run out of the rink like they do on occasion.

Watched this 8 times to pick a winner.
Rypien got in a few quick ones at the start...Mayers comes back with a few and over throws one to loose his balance.
Rypien's non-verbal has him thinking he won this...but I see a clear Draw.
Way to end the the regular season boys ! Good one !!

I liked that and I think Mayers was smart to try useing both hands....I would really love to see the best two fisted fighters in the league go at it.......Ripper and Too Too.....What I mean by that is both guys throw either hand better than other guys thro those hands.....Personly I would love to see Ripper beat the POO POO out of Too Too........Lmao i couldn't resist

I have no idea why so many people voted for rypien. Mayers all day

Mayers was game, but Rypien landed more and was standing tall when it ended. He certainly holds claim as the middleweight champ for this year. Rypien haters can hate, but he's the man this year for the Nucks, he never backs down. He rarely lost and is awesome to watch.

Should have been a better fight than it was. Gave it a 5. Watched it a few times and have to call it a draw. Both landed a few then Mayers slipped. Can't fault Rypien for Mayers losing his balance, but can't give Mayers any credit for landing a few then falling to the ice. Hopefully we see a rematch next season.

If you watch closely, Rypien was the only one landing anything. W Ripper.

Why is Sedinfan not truly a Canuck fan? Because he's not a member of the kissie-kissie cult? I do not like either one of these guys and never will for a variety of reasons. But this was a Mayers win despite all of the absurd, bogus voting. The only punches landed by Rypien were when Mayers was either on his way down, from a balance issue, or down.

I'm so sick of this Rypien cult crap. He tosses a million, quick punches that couldn't hurt my 5 year old daughter, and now he's your hero. And you give this fight a rating of 6? Sickening.
