Comments: In front of the play, Stortini and Peters drop the gloves and square off at the blueline. They grab ahold of each other and Peters starts things off with a right that is blocked followed by another right that misses over the top. Peters then connects with three straight right crosses and Stortini responds with two short rights during the flurry. Peters then gets Stortini turned to the side and throws five straight rights to the back of his head. Stortini returns fire with three rights to the back of Peters' head. Peters gets in two uppercuts and Stortini throws a right that hits Peters' back just before they get in-close. Peters throws a right to the side of Stortini's head and Stortini goes ahead and locks Peters up. Peters switches hands and is able to get his left free, proceeding to land five consecutive lefts to the back of Stortini's head. Stortini then wrestles Peters down to the ice and the linesmen skate on in to break things up.

Stortini looks like he has the goods to be a good fighter in the NHL just not in this one. In about 2 or 3 years, lets see how Stortini is doing.

Andrew Peters vs Zack Stortini

Peters drops his gloves and challenges Stortini, and they start to square off. Peters starts off with about 10 straight rights, connecting with a few of them. Stortini throws a couple rights, but misses. Then, Peters' helmet falls off, and Stortini connects with a right to the back of Peters' head. Andrew Peters responds with two right uppercuts, possibly connecting but can't tell because of the camera angle. Peters throws another right, hitting Stortini's helmet, and they wrestle around for a moment. After that, Peters switches to his left hand, throwing two to the back of Stortini's helmet, rips his helmet off, and throws two more lefts to the back of Stortini's head. Peters attempts a right, but loses his balance, falling to the ice with Stortini on top, and the linesmen intervene.

Win Peters

Rick Jeanerette, the Sabres announcer, is widely considered one of the best of all time. There is no question that he is a homer. He is employed by the Buffalo Sabres, and has been their announcer since the team has been in exsistence.

His passion and excitement in calling games is 2nd to none.

His calls of "lalalalalala lafontaine" and "top shelf where mama hides the cookies" are ledgendary.

While some folks find him annoying, most respect and admire the way he calls the games.

Personally I find the folks calling the Bruins and Panthers games to be the most annoying. ( I have the NHL ticket and get to hear most of them)

nice to see a new big kid from the Oilers getting out their and mixing it up with an established heavy like Peters.....Peters gets the win in a busy fight where not allot of quality punches landed.....i love the announcer from Buffalo he really brings excitement to the game...total homer but i'd love to have him calling my teams games!!

Pretty good fight that lasted a fair time. Peters won but Stortini kept trying. Peters threw some huge shots, as usual, and threw a bunch basically outmuscling and outtrowing the oiler. I'm not sure how many landed well but a solid effort by Andrew Peters.

I say Peters CLEARLY CONTROLLED to Stortini because of his many damaging punches against few Stortini's.
A good, long scrap on the arena.
Very good show by Peters but not bad one by Stortini.
Stortini scores a nice takedown.
A.Peters with CLEAR win.

Had Peters put him down on the ice, that would defently been a KO, but Stortini was defently getting beat down.

Zach didn't impress me in junior. Too slow tossing them, and he telegraphs the shots from a mile away.

He will never be anything in the NHL other than a second rate fighter who rarely wins.

stortini isnt ready for the big boys like peters, boogard, laraque, brashear and that type yet. he is still a spring chicken. needed to stick to guys like walker, janssen and those type.

Peters destroyed Stortini, he looked like he was lost at the end just waiting for someone to come in and help him
