Win Sideburns??? As the ever-mediocre Jet exposes Clifford's ability or lack thereof in an angry but uneventful dance At least we were all spared the unleashing of the hair

Thorburn is usually a willing combantant, although he is not often a winning one. However, he takes the win here. Clifford is not the same fighter he was a few years ago -- maybe it has something to do with him going bald?

Very close fight. Not a good fight but a fight nonetheless. I give it a draw based on Clifford getting a couple of good shots early and Thorburn getting a couple in late. Also, once again someone mentioned a visor. Having played organized hockey for many years and having had many fights let me again tell all you that haven't had a hockey fight a visor is a non issue to a hockey player! If you will note a visor protects a players eyes! It does not protect his nose, mouth or jaw! That's what you're aiming at in a fight! So give it up! A visor means nothing! If you don't like your opponent to have one rip it off! Or one good punch will knock it off!

Clifford with a couple good upper cuts early not much after that other than wrestling .

Thorburn gets the edge against Clifford in this dog of a fight.

how good was the fight when all you really notice is that bald spot on Cliffy's dome at the end?.. Thorn-bizzle stays in it and gets the W as Cliffy's still a bit gun shy about getting concussed again, and it shows. Vitalis > Propecia. #22 FTW.

I just don't understand how you can throw punches at a visor.

Slight edge to Thorburn wish Nolan would drop the gloves he is the Kings tough guy and will go with anyone.

Slight win Thorburn. Good to see cliff fighting early and often in this young season.

A good fight to bring energy to a barn nothing too heavy in the hitting department.

Clifford continues his losing ways....

Although Thorburn will never win fighter of the year & he isn't the greatest tough guy.. He is one of the few remaining "pugilists" (if he can be classified as that) and for that I respect him.. Plus his constant little taps of the other guy after scraps.. That being said I gave it an edge to Thorburn for his little flurry of punches Decent 5.

Thorburn lands it.. a nice bout there.

Thorburn, who usually isn't the most spectacular fighter, fares pretty well here against Clifford. Not sure how much was landing, but I think it's safe to say that Thorburn gets the win.

Pretty lame fight, especially on Clifford's behalf. Win Thorburn

Posted by Great Murray on October 13, 2014 at 09:17 AM

Clifford was never in this fight and looked like he was hoping to hug it out. Unfortunately for him Thorburn got his hands free and used both on Cliffords mush. All Thorburn

Posted by devilsadvocate on October 13, 2014 at 12:29 AM

Thorburn missed a couple of shots that could've put Cliffy into La-La Land. Get it.."LA LA" Land. Yeah, ok, that was lame. :) Cliffy better hone his skills as a player, because he's not going to make a living for long as a tough guy.

Posted by bigmike53 on October 13, 2014 at 12:34 AM

I don't think much landed but both boys were throwing with bad intentions. I'll give the edge to Thorburn.

Thorburn was thrown around a little at the outset, but Kudo's to him for re-grouping, and claiming the win in a decent fight.

Posted by Humper on October 13, 2014 at 08:42 AM

Thorburn all the way in what was largely a hug-a-rama.

Posted by jerry s on October 13, 2014 at 05:14 AM

looked like a hug fest for most of the bout

When you loose to Thorburn you are not that great of a fighter. So Clifford you suck! Winnipeg you would be better off with Stortini ! Ha Ha.

Posted by tmayorchak on October 13, 2014 at 02:34 AM

I wish Cliffy played like he did in his first season. He was a real killer.

Posted by slysi on October 13, 2014 at 03:05 PM

got to hand it to Clifford ....he keeps trying and don't back down......reminds me of Keith Magnuson of the old days

Posted by boldbilly on October 13, 2014 at 08:08 AM

Note to Blake Wheeler.......this is what a fight looks like Close fight here both doing a good job of neutralizing each other ...slight edge goes to Thorburn .....in fact you could say Thorburn by a nose.......and yes I did just say that lol

I'd go draw, not the best of bouts

Posted by DARCY T on October 31, 2014 at 05:51 PM
