I feel Barch keeps losing his fights because of a poor 'basic' defence. Time after time, he doesn't establish a solid left grip and it gives his opponents full range of motion to throw their right. Peluso looks like a decent fighter but Barch's technique (lack of) just made him look good.

love that Peluso went w/the classic elbow grab and threw theuppercuts early,.. too many guys go for the collar now and (imo) just hope to score big... dude had a strategy to go w/his anger and took a W form an NHL vet.. say what you want about Barch being 0-5, but the guy knows how compete and is NO pushover... hope to see A.P. get in some more tilts this year for the Jets instead of 'Hair Party' Thorburn... #14 w/the 'need for stitchin' W.

Sporting his fathers number and looking like a chip off of the old block Peluso successfully ties up Barch's right and proceeds to seemingly land at will in a surprisingly one sided affair

Barchy got smoked.

Barch takes a beating so he holds on waiting for refs to jump in,Decisions clearly to \ANTHONY PELUSO//

Posted by cordog on February 26, 2013 at 12:31 AM

Peluso won, but he's not Mike's kid. I think they might be 3rd cousins or something like that. Anthony's dad is actually Aniello “Neil” Peluso the mobster out of Toronto.

I didn't even notice that Peluso was picked up by the Jets... good for him and good for fans of hockey fights because he is a real good fighter. Barch is not the fighter he was last year, I would like to see the Devils bring Janssen back up.

Peluso out duels Barch.Barch the notorious slow starter couldn`t get his ass in gear.

Posted by lb1631 on March 01, 2013 at 08:46 AM

chico shut the F... up. Your an idiot. Peluso cruised over Barch who btw is a waste of a roster spot.

Barch lost another one but you gotta give him the Tie Domi award for showing up. You guys all remember Mr Domi's famous words: "It's not how many you win or lose, its how many you show up for" Of course those words came from a guy who didn't lose many but truer words where never spoken.

Peluso with a beating on Barch in this tilt even cutting him!Watch out this guy looks for real!

Posted by braindog1017 on February 24, 2013 at 06:08 PM

Barch is tough, but no, he never wins a fight. Ever. He takes on a guy I ve never heard of but apparently is a world beater because he landed every consequential punch and left Barch bleeding everywhere. I keep saying the Devils should've kept Boulton and Janssen but hey. They'll do what the like. And what they like is an enforcer who never wins a fight. Edge Peluso.

After a fairly good year last year, Barch is back to getting hammered like he is so famous for.

Posted by GreatMurray on February 25, 2013 at 07:37 AM

Barch barks up the wrong tree. Peluso handles him easily. Peluso has done this before...ya think!

Posted by Bakes923 on February 25, 2013 at 11:54 PM

Barch kinda reminds me of Chuck Wepner, land a shot or two,but losing with some blood somewhere in the end!! Peluso looks to be a formidable future heavyweight, and gets a victory here!!

Posted by endor on February 24, 2013 at 07:11 PM

Barch gets parched!! Win Peluso.

Posted by HolyJumpin on February 24, 2013 at 06:57 PM

PELUSO is legit!! Jets need to play him more, has great speed and talent as an enforcer.

Posted by jcholmes on February 25, 2013 at 08:15 AM

Mike's kid?

Posted by jnk07899 on February 25, 2013 at 01:07 PM

Poor Barch couldn't get loose. I hate seeing a guy get grabbed so perfectly that he can't even throw a punch. Good tactics by Peluso.

tough season for BARCH i think hes 0 for 5

Posted by FDNY20192 on February 24, 2013 at 07:54 PM

Hey... I'm just happy there are fights. Edge Peluso. Is Peluso related to that punching bag of old...Mike Peluso?

Posted by OLDJETFAN on March 21, 2013 at 07:03 PM

peluso rules

Posted by woolly mammoth on February 24, 2013 at 09:38 PM

Peluso ought to play more. He's a quality enforcer.

Posted by Rocket777 on February 24, 2013 at 05:59 PM

Good tilt, they both landed some bombs, though I will give it to peluso since he seemed to land a few more and barch looked beat up. Would love to see peluso in more games this year

Posted by darthpauly on February 25, 2013 at 12:42 AM

This was a statement fight Peluso. This was the man saying I have arrived let the league be warned, you screw with my guys and I will hurt you. A new enforcer is born, Can't wait to see more.

Good first NHL fight Peluso

Posted by GoalieGhost on February 25, 2013 at 03:27 PM

Watched many a fight with Peluso in the AHL with the Peoria Rivermen, he is not to be underestimated...hell of a developing shooter as well when he gets the puck. Blues foolish to lose him on waivers...

Posted by ferdip on February 25, 2013 at 08:39 PM

Two big guys good fight

Posted by mcb798 on February 24, 2013 at 05:54 PM

BIG MIKE PELUSO wins easy over barch. does krys barch ever win a fight?

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on February 25, 2013 at 01:53 AM

Peluso showing the NHL what he can do, made Barch look average.

Posted by partybarber on February 26, 2013 at 07:23 AM

they danced a waltz more or less, boring fight, draw

Posted by DARCY T on February 26, 2013 at 03:15 PM

peluso's 1st regular season nhl fight.he is a big guy fighting a lot in the ahl...both guys landed a couple solid shots..draw and 7

Peluso needed a punching bag and got one. Barch looked pretty helpless.

Posted by chad420 on February 25, 2013 at 12:51 PM

win Mikey Jr...another decent bout

Posted by ISUSigTau921 on February 25, 2013 at 10:56 PM

Is it just beause people dont like Barch or am I missing something? 90% Peluso? Im not a fan of either team, but it's gotta be a draw...both landed solid punches, no knockout or takedown...nothing stands out to make a winner

Peluso with the win.

Posted by kkdowning on February 24, 2013 at 10:29 PM

Barch got busted up in this one as the other guy kept his right arm free

Posted by SouthPaw017 on February 25, 2013 at 05:32 AM

Peluso looked impressive, and pretty composed for his 2nd NHL game, against a guy who's fought just about everyone... Fernben8 and BrainDog1017 both with great points.....

Posted by mikecan on February 24, 2013 at 06:32 PM

Barch takes all comers and always answers the bell. Peluso gets the nod, but Barch gets more respect for getting his nose dirty.

Posted by Blues 34 on February 24, 2013 at 06:46 PM

Very good first NHL fight for Peluso. Good win for him
