Can't call a winner when one guy doesn't go...

As much as I dislike the Rangers, Dubinsky getting tossed was poor by the Refs

Carkner needs to be suspended and the reff also needs to be dealt with accordingly. also the 3rd man rule shouldnt cover this since the reff didnt do his job.

1. Brian Boyle is the Hal Gill of forwards.
2. Dubinsky shouldn't have been tossed out? Hmm he sure looked like a third man in to me? Video clearly shows him flying in as the third man.
3. This is old school hockey, Boyle messes with Karlsson and then has to deal with Carkner, its how hockey should be.

Not a fan of either team - just wondering about the psychology of letting a guy beat the living daylights out of you. For the love of God stand up for yourself Boyle! No wonder the Rangers lost.

Love playoff hockey. With that said, I think with Carkner we have found our modern day Durbano. That was not a fight it was a cheap mugging done very cowardly. That is not a Hockey Fight ! If you want to fight ask him to go what that is not old school enough.Face to Face.Just as an update Carkner you were thrown out of the next game and Boyle scored the only goal of the game.Payback.

Its almost as if people forgot what Boyle did to Karlsson. As for Boyle, you want to get a few cheap shots in on a star player? Then you should expect to have to drop the gloves the next game. At least thats how it was and still should be. He got exactly what he deserved.

"Rule 46.1 Fighting – A fight shall be deemed to have occurred when at least one player (or goalkeeper) punches or attempts to punch an opponent repeatedly..."
So there was a fight and Carkner won it. It was a grade 1, lame-arsed fight, however.
If Dubinsky was the third guy there, then he was third man in and should have been shown the gate. Stop whining, announcer.
If anything was blown by the ref, it was the roughing call on Dubinsky. Since the pile on was so fast, not much roughing could have occurred. Should have been Carkner gone and a five minute advantage for the Rangers.
Also, Carkner did not get a roughing. He got a fighting, an instigator and a game misconduct . Should have also received a 10 min misconduct as the aggressor and the instigator, as the rule states, but that wouldn't have changed anything on the ice.

Some sweet retribution plain and simple, and well done at that!! This is a great series now that they are going to play on some real ice in Ottawa when all the skilled pugilists on both sides can stay on their feet !! This is what should have been done during game One but alas. I think it was classy of the Sens and Carkner, no point trying to run their star players (Alfredsson now concussed likely), just going after the guy who deserved it most.

Not voting for either here, but for all the guys who say Boyle is a ***** and needs to throw punches, man up, etc, etc... You guys need to just replay the video and just watch Matt Carkner. Thats the definition of classless. Then Neil goes after Boyle later... thats pretty much the equivalent of Rupp going after Condra or Greening.. Carkner and Neil are fcukin losers

Of course Carkner won the fight, a vicious attack led by a sucker punch. The Sens did not forget Boyle's assault of Erik Karlsson in game one as Planet Zenon almost went with him in the pre-game skate.

As for Carkner, shades of Ron Hextall, see you in November after you've served your 10 game regular season suspension.

Hagelin likewise might be sitting out a couple after his elbow to Alfie's head knocking him out of the game.

That wasn't a fight, that was a total sucker punch (one code violation) followed by a second code by pummeling him on the ice. I am not a Ranger fan at all, but did they ever get the shaft on that. Dubinsky and everyone else goes in and saves Boyle from getting killed and they toss him with Carkner? I don't know how Carkner didn't get a match. That referee should be disciplined, he stood there and watched the whole thing and still blew it badly. Hagelin and Carnker should both be suspensed. It seems they don't call a sucker punch to the head a head shot however, and since Shanny let Weber off, I don't think we will be able to figure out how anything goes from here. I can't vote on this one.

Hike up your skirt Boyle...what a mary....Boyle like to run around and hit people and talk smack...then not drop the gloves..Nice job by MC Hammer

Nothing here, it's too bad Carkner got tossed I would've liked to see him throw with Rupp. Hopefully Tortorella dresses Big John Scott next game so that him and Carkner could throw, that would be great!

Dubinsky is SUCH a little bit**, he yells and screams all the time and acts so tough but when he fights all he does is hug.
Huge props to Carkner for doing what he had to do by sending a message to the Rangers that you can't do that to his star player.
Even bigger probs to the New York commentator for not being a homer and understanding the logistics behind the fight and subsequent penalties.
