Improbable as it may seem,
I think, that I may have just agreed
with Pierre Maquire's analysis of a hockey fight???

Then again, I have a cold,
and it's possible
that this cough syrop
is well past it's expiry date.

How do people have McQuaid winning that? Draw at best for McQuaid (he should have won the fight on paper, but Hendricks held his own)

Not much here,
I saw it McQuaid early...Hendricks with a stronger finish.
Draw.

Draw -nobody landed anything. And McQ wasn't gonna "take Laich off the ice". Just holding him off after the tie-up, nothing more than that. Until Hendricks decided to play "Mr. Helper".

Draw... Nothing appeared to land. For those of you scoring takedowns.. Takedowns are done for several reasons -- one combatant is scared and proceeds to wrestle for a take down to save his a%#, one combatant is too tired to go on, one combatant loses his balance (hopefully not on purpose), or both combatants can't fight for sh%$ and simply choose to wrestle until they fall... Last time I checked this was HockeyFights, with fists, upright, on skates.... not wrestling or MMA. Therefore simpletons, no points for takedowns.

Sad to say Hendricks is the Caps enforcer. Hendricks with a short right to start then McQuaid with a flurry of right hand misses then Hendricks with a right/shove to knock McQuaid down. Very similar to their previous fight. This was a draw.

McQuaid has yet to fight a legit heavyweight in his NHL career making it a little tough to assess how good he really is. Asham was probably the best fighter he has faced and that resulted in a decisive loss for McQuaid.

I just can't understand why Rechlicz was sent down before this game or not dressing Erskine. You had Thornton challenging Brouwer for no apparent reason near the start of the game.

It will be interesting to see if Buffalo shows any balls Wed. because they still haven't redeemed themselves for the cheap hit on Miller by Lucic.

BigEdPVD - I don't think you would find anyone on this site that considers Konopka a true legit heavyweight or real good fighter. I'm talking about guys like McGrattan, Parros, Carkner, Orr, Kassian etc. and by the way, McQuaid has fought Konopka 3 times and has not exactly owned him with 2 close wins and a loss.

I agree with the peeps that call this bout a draw... six punches connect, and none were damaging

Quirky Campbells Suck Hole Refs give Hendricks 2 for roughing. Are all the refs trying to blow Quirky so they can work the playoffs. Baby sitting the Bruins seems to be a familiar theme...its how they won their 2011 Tainted Cup
