A friend asked me to keep an open mind about Carcillo this year,
so, this time out, I was hoping to see more of the
''Tocchett-like'', Phoenix version, as opposed to the...
''I'm going to try to grow a mustache
in an attempt to channel Dave Schultz'' version
that showed up in Philly.
Unfortunately, neither showed up,
as Reaves took full advantage of Carcillo's continuous fumbling
for a decent jersey grip, and as a result...soundly, pounded him to the ice.

I was, originally, going to say, that this fight seemed to mark Reaves' emergence as a legitimate, heavyweight contender...
but then, I caught the spear-fish, intro.

Car Bomb couldn't get untracked and Reaves took advantage of it.

Carcillo was in the wrong weight class on this one

Hmmm....Probably influenced by the announcers but I found myself cheering for Carcillo.
You can tell Carcillo was cautious of Reaves's right and was trying to get a good grip, but not able to.
I didn't think it was really a 'spear', more of push away with the stick.
Ryan just too powerful, no contest.
This was a Scott job.

Love seeing Kane get run over. Reaves is a tough SOB.

A lot of flapping around here, the Reaves catches Carcillo with a couple which knock Carcillo off balance. Boring win for Reaves.

@mudman55 Reaves is a bitch, he wasn't so quick to drop em when John Scott challenged him, was he? Yeah, take on the little guy but when a real heavy gets in your face you skate away with your mouthpiece hanging out thankful that the linesmen saved your ass.

Should have been called for spearing

Should have fought Scott later in the game

Still a Reaves win but not a lot of class showed, maybe revenge will be exacted the next time these 2 teams meet

Reaves dominated Carcillo here. He landed a couple of effective shots while Carcillo didn't land any.
