Phaneuf, and his visor,
eventually cave to Horton's lid-toss invitation,
and Karmic justice is served,
as the, initially, unwilling Captain...
ekes out a victory over the over-instigating Bruin.

I listened to the Leafs radiocast with Joe and Ralphie and they were both chirping in glee over the outcome. I can understand Dion's hesitation to fight--his team was up 5-1 with eight minutes left, so what did he have to gain? But after the exchange of fists Phaneuf threw Horton down, which opened up the cut above Horton's right eye.

Weak 3 draw and Horton hits his head on the ice. Phanuef has always been a chicken shi*. I can't stand seeing guys play the tough role and take on someone with a visor.

With very mixed emotions, I have to give Alice the Goon (Phaneuf) the win.

I'm not the biggest fan of Phaneuf but from what I can tell, he didn't go looking for this one...
You can see Horton yapping at him and egging him to go.
Sometimes...what goes around, comes around.
Before you know it, a split brow for Horton.
Win Dion.

Horton should have let it go when Phaneuf initially declined. But once Pahneuf accepted, he should have de-bucketed. I have a feeling this one isn't over.

Ok I wasn't even going to watch....i saw the 4 and the first thing I thought was Dion was playing the big shot and then did one of his non-eventful fights....Being a diehard leaf fan, I couldn't not watch.....So in all fairness to Dion I think the announcer's were rt!!!! Now haveing said that under NO circumstance do I think Dion is A fighter nor should he Pre-tend to be tuff BECAUSE he's NOT!!!!
Ps Some peoples distain for players clouds their judgement in review's and IMO they cheaping themselves and there credibility....At least they do with me.....If you have a bias .....A la Me and Mr Prust or oppositely Avery ....ADMITT it and then your review will hold more weight

Celine Dion keeps her lid on...then dumps Horty on his head on the ice, that makes him leak...definately not a win in my book...BTW this was dismal performance by Bs...they need to start playing like Pro Athletes and Show Up to games

Horton should have just given him the dismissal wave, called him a pansy, and skated to the box with his dignity and two minute minor.

"why am I gonna fight you????" Who does Horton think he is?? Iginla?? Phagoof shouldn't have dropped his bucket ,it seems he didn't want to fight . What may seem pansy-ish to most, was really self preservation. He only has to look up in the Laffs box and see the little birds still flying around Orrs head to realize what could happen. If Phagoof wanted the fight, he should have chucked bucket prior to knuckles!! Win for the d man

Horton was a day late and a dollar short in this one. He should've done this in the 2nd period, not down 5-1 with 8 minutes left in the game. They had several run ins throughout the game but I think it was Horton's slew foot attempt that raised Phaneuf's ire but at that point in the game there clearly was no need to fight. Under the circumstances I don't have a huge problem with Phanuef keeping the lid on and I don't understand why Horton didn't get an extra penalty for forcing the fight, but then again, Bruins rarely if ever get instigator penalties and they almost always start altercations when falling behind.

As for the fight itself, not much landed by either but Phaneuf overpowered Horton at the end with the slam to the ice.

Fagneuf showing his true rainbow colors in that one. Next time wear a motorcycle helmet there, dion.

Lots of talk about the lid, but Hulk Horton is lucky he even found a partner....let alone the captain. Toronto was up 5-1 at home with 8 minutes left...

Phaneuf is a pu$$y for not taking off his shield. He was afraid to.
