Not domination by Lappy but was a CLEAR winner.
Not a good fight but surely good show from LAppy.
He controlled well this one(behind the net).

Could these announcers blow Laperriere anymore than they are. He has 3 pounds on Phaneuf--where's the 20 come in? The hit was clean--this league is pussified. I'll take Phaneuf on my team any day over Laperriere. I hate when homer announcers can't get their facts straight like these two bozos.

Win Lappy. Phaneuf needs to drop 'em more for how much he runs his mouth. Big talker with the visor.

Way to go Lappy, not a bad fight really. I saw it in the corner and started to worry it would just be a hugging match but no no, Ian cashed that check all over Phanuefs ass.

Wasnt even close. Nice to see Lappy finally get a dominate win, and over someone a lot bigger than him. Nice way to end the season.

Eric Godard vs...........You claim that Americans don't know anything about hockey, well it's obvious that you know nothing about grammer.
Do your parents know that you're on their computer?

Laperriere shouldn't be to happy with this win as he totally jumped him, but none the less Phaneuf got tossed...LOL
Even as a Flames fan there's just something about Phaneuf I just can't stand....hmmmm...arrogance

That was a great hit by Dion. But he only weighs 10 pounds more than him, the anouncer is an idiot.

To the "Eric Godard" clown... the point is that Phaneuf doesn't loose the visor when he hikes up his skirt and attempts to fight. His only hope is that either his opponent is a lot smaller than him or that the ref's will jump in. He's a modern day version of Ulf Samuelson with a bit more talent and no Stanley Cup ring. It's always nice to see the bitches who talk better than they fight take a beating.

I like Laperriere! He's so protective of his teammates. I like his scrappy ways. I saw him play last year in Colorado. He's not that big, which makes him all the more impressive.

Lappy made up for the time earlier in the season when he stood up for
Bret McLean. My son and I were at the game and were lucky enough to
be able to move from our nose bleed seats to seats in the 2nd row
right next to the Flames sin bin. Once Phanuef was in the box and he looked over at me I mouthed to him "He beat your A$$!!!". His reaction
was kind of a smirk of agreement but one also of "I would kick your fat old a$$" After the game I stayed up to watch the replay of the game on Altitude and they happened to focus on Dion in the box just as was I saying this to him and I got to see that expression again and I again interpreted it as
"Yeah, he did kind of kick my butt"

Great late season run Avs to try to make up for the lackluster season start.
You made it last a lot longer than I expected it to.

For all you who say it was a dirty hit, watch a little more closely. Arnason was admiring his pretty little pass, and if he didnt inadvertantly turn just a little, it would have been the hit of the year. Phaneuf did not elbow or go for the head, his shoulder his Arnasons shoulder, and the force of the spin threw off Arnasons helmet. Lappy was doing his job standing up for the skill players ( which is Arnason sometimes). Lappy handled himself well, as he should over a player who fights 2-3 times a season.
