Right off of the faceoff the two drop the gloves and square off in front of the Flames' net. After a little bit of shadow boxing they grab ahold of each other and Godard throws a right to start things off. They go back and forth with a mix of long rights and jersey-jabs until Parros loses his balance and falls to the ice. The linesmen quickly come in and the two are easily separated.

The two drop the gloves at the blueline and Davison immediately grabs ahold of Gratton, connecting with a right cross that knocks Gratton down. Davison falls on top of him, but they quickly get back up to their feet. A linesman comes in and tries to break it up, but they continue to fight, both of them throwing a right. Davison then throws two rights and a jersey-jab while Gratton is bent over. They both miss wide with right crosses and Davison lands a jab just before they exchange rights once more. Davison then connects with a right that knocks Gratton off-balance and to the ice. Davison lands another right while they are down and the linesmen rush over to break things up.

Roy hits Todd Marchant hard into the boards causing Thornton to come over and challenge Roy who obliges. The two drop the gloves and Roy throws an early left. Thornton responds with three rights and Roy ducks down for a moment before throwing two lefts. Roy connects with two body shots and a right while they're in close quarters. Thornton creates some space and throws a flurry of six straight rights while Roy tries to move away from the punches. Roy fires back with two lefts and Thornton answers with a right while Roy is throwing. Roy gets in another left and they skate further down ice. Thornton then lands three rights on a bent over Roy and the linesmen quickly move in to break things up.

Raffi Torres throws a hard check on Moen near the boards, sending him to the ice. Moen gets up and gives Torres a shove as they skate by the net and the puck goes into the corner. Greene steps up and gives Moen a shove of his own and after a quick stare down they drop the gloves as the puck gets frozen within a pile-up in the corner. Greene starts off with a quick right that comes up short. Moen returns fire, landing a right of his own. They then exchange rights back and forth, most of which look to be short on both ends until Moen lands a right that causes Greene to lose his balance and fall to the ice, pulling Moen on top of him. The linesmen are in right away to break it up.

Belak flattens Olli Jokinen along the boards prompting Allen to skate over to Belak. Allen waits until Belak gets to his feet and challenges him. The two drop quickly drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other. They exchange rights to start things off and Belak throws another right while trying to tie up Allen. Allen responds with a few jersey-jabs and Belak throws two long rights that miss. Allen gets his left free and connects with two jabs. Belak throws a right and then switches hands, throwing a left just as Allen connects with a right, knocking Belak's helmet off. Belak then connects with two uppercuts while Allen falls to the ice. The linesmen jump in and Belak gets in a right while they are down, but they are separated shortly after.

Parros runs Walker over while they are skating along the boards. Dallas Drake tries to move around a kneeling Walker to get to Parros, but it's Walker who gets back to his feet and drops his gloves. Parros does the same and the two square off at center ice. They grab ahold of each other and exchange rights. Walker throws two wild rights while fighting to keep his balance, allowing Parros to connect with a right to the back of his head. Walker fires back with an overhand right and Parros throws one of his own just before Walker falls to the ice. Walker works his way back up to his feet, but the linesmen are right there to end the fight.

They grab ahold of one another and King starts things off with a flurry of four rights to the body and helmet of Thornton. They then go toe-to-toe with punches for a short moment: Thornton with lefts; King going with the right. Thornton stops throwing and King continues to pump away with the right hand, landing four unanswered shots. Thornton returns fire with a short right and King throws one of his own as well. King throws another overhand right, but Thornton loses his balance and falls to the ice. King lets Thornton get back up to his feet, but the linesmen are right there to intervene.

Downey skates over to Alexandre Burrows and gives him a cross-check in an attempt to get him to drop the gloves. Cowan rushes over and gives Downey a shot in response. The two then quickly drop the gloves with Cowan lunging forward to grab Downey. Cowan gets in a short left to start things off and Downey returns fire with two rights. They then exchange lefts just before they lose their balance and fall to the ice. The linesmen come in and they get back to their feet. Downey then throws a couple of rights in between the linesmen to the back of Cowan, but he is quickly restrained and the fight is ended. Other Penalties: Cowan received an instigator and misconduct; Downey an unsportsmanlike conduct.

Witt flips Crosby around with a huge open-ice hit, causing both Ryan Whitney and Malone to go after Witt in retaliation. All three drop their gloves, but it's Malone and Witt who pair off while Whitney is grabbed by Bruno Gervais. Witt and Malone quickly fall to the ice only to get back up. Malone throws two rights and they grapple for a long while as Witt is unable to get anything going. Malone gets free and throws an uppercut followed by two overhand rights to the back of Witt's helmet. Witt returns fire with a right and Malone attempts another uppercut just before Witt whips Malone to the ice and the linesmen jump in to break things up. Other Penalties: Malone received an instigator and misconduct; Ryan Whitney a double roughing; Bruno Gervais a roughing.
