closer to a Draw than a Lappy Win

Posted by Pops Ryan on April 12, 2010 at 10:17 PM

Lappy won a contrived fight against a no-talent, hand picked opponent. Does Philadelphia have no shame at all ? Are you so bereft of hockey knowledge that you need a sham of a fight to get emotionally involved in the biggest regular season game of the year? Other than goals and fights, Flyer fans just don't get real hockey. Too bad. By the way, Ed Snider owns your feeble minds and manipulates all of you like little children. You deserve each other.

Thanks for nothing Aaron Voros. Way to give even more of the momentum to the Flyers. Hopefully that will be the last time I see Voros in a Rangers jersey. He should have been traded for a Happy Meal a long time ago (a bag of pucks would have been too generous.) Win Laperriere.

Lappy gets the win !!!

Voros' reach is no match for Laperrieres' tenacity. Surpringly close, though. Early on, Voros did his pale imitation of a jersey-jab, which forced Laperriere into demonstrating the proper technique shortly after. Edge Flyer.

Unfortunately for Laperriere, the refs would have had to retrieve Voros's helmet from the stands and assist him to the locker room to get awarded the win in this tilt. And here on Hockeyfights.com the voting would still be close, many noting the punch couldn't have possibly come from the grassy knoll.

Laperriere won the fight.

Ian Lappy with the win. This was a phenomenal game today, a really tough loss for Henrik Lundqvist who played his heart out today.

Pretty good fight. Have to give the win to Laperriere but it is kinda close.

Laperriere gets the Flyers going against one of the very worst. no talent fakes in the NHL. Another Ranger Loser...

PopsRyan, Flyers fans may be brain washed but they've got a hockey game to watch this week. Enjoy your early summer. Win Laperriere. Win Flyers.

Lappy with the win

I'm a rangers fan and I voted for Laperriere, all this fight did for our team was kill our chances of making the playoffs. Voros was a moron for accepting his challenge, we weren't in control of the game but we were winning and all that fight did was give the Flyers and their fans more energy.

Posted by bruiseyoureye on April 11, 2010 at 10:02 PM

voros tuned laperriere like a gibson guitar.

Lappy with the win. No need to play to crowd though. Voros very game but may need A change of teams.

boys...this a draw

Posted by LilHockeyGirl on April 14, 2010 at 01:29 AM

Nice. I love when they're chatting about it first. I always wonder how that conversation starts... Anyways, Laperriere won this by the hair of his chinny chin chin.

Posted by tiburon4 on April 14, 2010 at 05:09 PM

Laperriere dished out more, nearly sent Voros down: not bad lil scrap for Laperriere.

Good win by Lappy, who probably has to be a candidate for most improved this year, and who showed he's one of the toughest guys in the league after taking the puck to the mouth and playing through it. Congrats, Lappy.

In a season where most of his fights ended in him getting a beatdown, Lappy finishes it off with a W As for the game: The Rangers were outplayed the entire game, even they led for most of it thanks to a great deflection by Jody Shelley. Henrik Lundqvist was superb in goal despite the loss.

Great fight-W Lappy
