On behalf of FWVU (Fighting Without Visors Union), it's a draw. Beauchemin, take that f***ing visor off nex time...the guy had plenty of time to take it off.

Posted by Mouseman on November 15, 2009 at 05:26 PM

I have never complained about a player leaving the visor on before. But this is different. This was not a 'heat of the moment' fight where players dont have the time to take the helmet off before punches are thrown. Francois had more than enough time to take the helmet off. And as a matter of fact, he even had Olli backing up before punches were thrown. Like many people in this forum, I am scoring this a Draw in protest. In fairness, Francois Beauchemin has displayed a certain level of honor in past fights, that is why it is shocking to me to see him display such a dramatic lack of it here, especially against a guy that never fights.

Draw Period! Beauchemin beats Jokinen NOW THERE IS SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF LEAFS and their fans are a joke in them. ( selves) Lose the visor pu$$y!

Posted by b.t.wilson on November 14, 2009 at 11:34 PM

not a fight, beauchemin really really really should've losed the lid. not like he didn't have time. maybe i am being lame for this, but i'm calling it a draw, only since beauchemin should have shown some class, i mean come on, its olli jokinen for god's sake.

Posted by Towmater on November 15, 2009 at 06:14 PM

Props to Jokinen for trying, big thumbs down to Doucheamin for leaving the visor on.

Posted by Cat Smasher on November 15, 2009 at 09:04 AM

They both should have dropped the lids, but instead Beauchemin dropped Jokinen.

Posted by Togalthorpe on November 15, 2009 at 03:44 AM

Beauchemin take off your lid you pussy. Way to beat up a euro

Posted by Sasky001 on November 15, 2009 at 11:47 PM

Beauchemin est maird. Les Leafs ont maird.

Posted by bruiseyoureye on November 15, 2009 at 12:06 AM

beauchemin wins.

Posted by slavv on November 17, 2009 at 03:18 PM

What the fuck was this?!?!

Posted by ay0medo on November 14, 2009 at 11:14 PM

This was Beau's fight!

Posted by throwinhams on December 29, 2009 at 01:52 AM

Beauchemin is not honorable, but Jokinen is crazy. Loved Iggy skating by and yelling to Jokinen that Beauch is a lefty. Funny good stuff.

Posted by wildfighter on March 05, 2010 at 03:29 PM

Beauchemin with the win...but it's tainted because he's a pussy with a visor.

Posted by Keredz on November 15, 2009 at 12:48 AM

better hit, lousy fight. Jokinen ate an uppercut and turtled.

Posted by NotoriousT on November 15, 2009 at 03:41 PM

Yeah I agree Beauchemin should have took off his helmet. He lost a lot of points with me for squaring off like that and still keeping on his visor. Crap fight, Win Beauchemin gave it a 2

Posted by axbed on November 15, 2009 at 07:42 AM

Courageous Jokinen but Beauchemin was not correct. We don't keep the visor ....

Posted by woodape on November 15, 2009 at 10:41 PM

Beauchemin gets to flatten two Flames in one play, basically. It was a great, clean, legal bodycheck - part of the game. Olli compounds things by trying to fight. Olli should never fight again - he has no idea what he is doing. I don't think it helps your team win to run head first into machinegun fire. The way to retaliate against hard bodychecks is to GIVE hard bodychecks...not have your worst fighter challenge the guy. Dumb.Dumb.Dumb.

Posted by CairnsIsGod33 on November 16, 2009 at 03:27 AM

Beauchemin with the win but good to see Olli sticking up for a teammate

Posted by SABREHATRED on November 16, 2009 at 08:28 PM

Olli isn't exactly the name you think of when you here the word fight!!!! Joke takes the lame way out when he realizes his flamer buddies won't be jumping in anytime soon.. W to Queen Bee over on drums

Posted by MattYYC on November 19, 2009 at 02:10 PM

If the Flames haters can park their bias for just a second, you have to admit that any Euro non-fighter like Olli than steps in to defend a hit against and knarly scrapper like Beauchemin deserves some credit. The fact that Beauche left his visor on obviously shows a lack of class, particularly given his opponent was Jokinen. Beauche for the one hit win but Olli for the big cohones runner up prize. Funny how Iggy was circling and all like "Olli, WTF are you doing".

Posted by silent_shadow36 on January 21, 2010 at 02:11 PM

good job for jokinen to stick up for his teammate, but i've seen better fights. easy beauchemin win

Posted by goalieds on November 15, 2009 at 02:42 AM

what was Jokinen thinking? props to him for standing for his player but Beauchemin is not the guy you want to drop them with. I have watched Beauchemin fight since he started with the Ducks and although he doesnt fight much I have never seen him lose one and all of his fights end the same way very decisive wins

Posted by shrk33 on November 15, 2009 at 10:34 PM

Beauchemin wins, but he had PLENTY of time to lose the helmet and visor.

Posted by Rebel Banker on November 15, 2009 at 12:45 PM

it's too bad beauch didn't have enough timeto take his lid off...what a doosh.

Posted by bostonrs555 on November 15, 2009 at 09:25 AM

Olli gets the chump stamp under his eye.... Stick to fancy moves and pirouettes.... W to Francis

Posted by ShuterMcGav on November 16, 2009 at 01:24 PM

God I hate the Flamers, and especially Jokinen. That was hilarious how that Finnish piece of shit went down immediately.

Posted by bilbobaggins on November 15, 2009 at 08:27 PM

Didnt Jokinen see Beauchemin cave Kopecky's face in last year? Keep your lid on - safety first.

Posted by My Sweet Shadow on November 16, 2009 at 10:19 PM

No contest. Beach wins it by a mile. Why take his helmet off if he was just going to win in 5 seconds anyways?

Posted by Dave Brown HOF on November 17, 2009 at 05:12 PM

Too funny. Joke- in- in, tries to stick up for a teamate and then turtles like a little bitch after getting hit once. He had to fight though, because the Flamers captain surveyed the situation and was too scared to fight Beauchemin himself, probably knowing that it would be the same result from when Francois kicked the hell out of Iginla a couple of years back. I would consider that the epitome of a spot picker. I'm glad that Francois didn't lose the lid as it's good to see the Flamers get some of their own medicine for a change. Flamers lose all 3 fights, which isn't exactly surprising news but they can at least beat Toronto on the scoreboard but so does everybody. And really who cares about the scoreboard as this is a fight site after all. Claire, it's pretty sad/sick that you wake up in the morning having had another wet dream because you fell asleep with your Flamers homer glasses on. Once again, your total lack of objectivity causes you to lose all credibility. Not to mention the fact that you can't even get your facts straight. You might like to call Bieksa a spot picker(again your credibility is non existent) but the guy doesn't and never has(other than in college or in the minors where it's mandatory) ever worn a visor in the NHL. So what exactly the fuck are you talking about. Actually forget it, someody as blind and judgement clouded as you need not answer that because once again facts and objectivity are not part of your vocabulary. As for Iginla, yeah I'm sure. That's why,as capain, he was so anxious to jump in there for Oli "The Turtle" Joke - in -in. Rght!!! Claire, Oh, here comes the third man in excuse. They weren't engaged, so why would he have gotten a 3rd man in penalty? They squared off for a good 10 seconds and you're trying to tell me that Iginla didn't have time to skate in there to protect his teamate and prevent him from embarrassingly getting his ass kicked? Where was he in the 4th row buying popcorn? There was no 3rd man in penalty to be had and even if there was, they were playing the fucking Leafs. If they can't beat them without Iginla then they have more problems than just Olli being a girl. Claire, I'm glad that you were finally able to admit a wrong and I also thank you for the compliment. It means so very much to me that it's hard to put into words. Also, I apologize to the other posters on here as per my message in the Mair/Prust fight log.

Jokinen you suck!!!!!

Posted by bruins rule on November 14, 2009 at 10:31 PM

nothing much going on in this fight.

Posted by masternater on November 15, 2009 at 03:46 PM

Minus to Beauchemin for the sissy sheild, and plus to Jokinen for actually going, but Beauchemin still wins

Posted by JonMirasty on November 15, 2009 at 05:34 AM

even jokinen lost that , im glad that jokinen is starting more often these fights !

Posted by Behn Wilson on November 15, 2009 at 05:49 AM

Great hit, and good response by Jokinen...despite not being ready... but the ol' jump, clutch and hope manouver rarely works. Win ''good-road''.

Posted by dunno on November 16, 2009 at 10:58 PM

This isnt a sportsmanship site. You dont call draws because he didnt take off his helmet/visor. Those of you who voted a draw should find another site. Its a fight and Beauchemin won - plain and simply. and yes he should of taken the helmet off, cheap that he didnt but he won the fight regardless.

Posted by tattooedkingpin on November 15, 2009 at 07:12 PM

Nice hit. Credit for Olli sticking up for his teammate (Red Wings European players dont do this). Enjoy the stitches. W Beauchemin

Posted by Belak_Norris on November 16, 2009 at 11:53 AM

Beauchemin with the easy win. Somethibng might not be right in this world. A Finn fights in this fight, a Swede had a knockout at UFC 105. Man, I would never think this could happen!

Posted by GSP09 on November 15, 2009 at 12:34 PM

It's doesn't matter if Beauchemin takes is visor of or not ,Jokinen did not even have time to throw a punch.

Posted by juice28 on November 18, 2009 at 09:55 AM

beauchy for the win

Posted by mjb_17 on November 15, 2009 at 11:43 AM

Beauchemin with the win here. For all those idiots out there saying he should have takin his bucket off, think about it. He didn't go out there looking for a fight, he went out there and put some guy through the ice. With all the injuries and a death from hitting your head on the ice, why would he take his helmet off??? Figure it out!!

Posted by TML-Mike on November 15, 2009 at 01:33 AM

Geat hit by Beauch, and he gets the win.

Posted by no123one on November 18, 2009 at 12:16 AM

Much smaller Canadian destroys larger Finn as usual

Posted by kitcarnut on November 16, 2009 at 02:43 PM

i couldn't agree more with BT wilson. Jokenen finally dropped his gloves and beachboy was scared to take off the visor. f'n sad

Posted by bam932 on November 15, 2009 at 03:53 PM

Obvious win for Beauchemin ... but I'm calling it a draw due to the worst example of refusing to loose the visor I've ever seen. It's Olli Jokinen not Brock Lesnar.

Posted by Tex55 on November 16, 2009 at 05:58 PM

That was a fight???

Posted by claire alexande on November 17, 2009 at 12:37 PM

Have to score this a draw as Beauchemin does his best Bieksa (spot-picking, visor on) and Burrows (scratching) imitations. dbhof--your neurotic fear of the flames is getting quite flagrant; iginla has learned much since the playoff scrap about fighting lefties and would likely do well against beauchemin. _____ cher dave ok, so iginla should have gone for third man in after Olli, against all logic, drops them with Beauchemin. if it makes you feel better about yourself, yes, my snide visor comment should have been attached to Burrows, not Bieksa. I admit that it's very difficult to bring myself to challenge your opinions (you're the most credible, and unbiased, poster on this site, apparently).

Posted by Rick16 on November 15, 2009 at 12:41 AM

pathetic by beauchemin he's fighting jokinen and still refuses to lose his visor

Posted by Cherndig on November 15, 2009 at 11:18 PM

First off nice clean hit. Second not doing much on the score sheet why not fight. Ya it's Olli but fuck if Semin fights anyone will fight. But holy shit Franis you could tell first off Olli knew he bit off more than he could chew, but really you had like 20 sec to lose the lid. Puzzy Puzzy Puzzy DRAW FOR THAT ACT OF BEING A VAGINA Side note: I love Olli's face when he realizes he dropped the gloves and has to fight!

Posted by Rex from MN on November 16, 2009 at 09:01 AM

I'm calling it a draw on the principle of Beauch not flipping the visor lid. Surprising from him.

Posted by bigwilly37 on November 15, 2009 at 05:36 PM

Yeah fighting a swed almost begs take the helmet off come on francois

Posted by chad420 on November 15, 2009 at 06:45 PM

cmon oli...clean hit...then you ask 2 fight & then you puss....stick 2 scoring the occasional goal...

Posted by Oil Can Henry on November 15, 2009 at 12:31 AM

That was awful - Jokinen had the right idea, skating backwards,....just, shoulda' kept going.

Posted by tim daddy on November 16, 2009 at 12:07 PM

either olli has major balls, or he didn't check the jersey number first.

Posted by piney on November 16, 2009 at 06:33 AM

If one guy gives up. the other one wins. announcer are homers

Posted by 7777777 on November 17, 2009 at 03:47 PM

I'm glad Beauchemin left his helmet on, It was a clean hit. Why should he risk getting eye gouged or scratched by Olli the pussy cat, when he did nothing wrong.

Posted by azjim on November 17, 2009 at 11:57 PM

Beauchemin wins the fight and douche of the week award. Some of you Beauchemin defenders are a close second.

Posted by Richterfan on November 15, 2009 at 11:19 AM

Win Beauchemin but he loses street cred for not dumping the lid.

Posted by tiburon4 on November 15, 2009 at 04:25 PM

Jokinen had no chance against the Frenchie!

Posted by briggsy on November 15, 2009 at 04:10 PM

Oli should not have done that.

Posted by muskokadangler on November 15, 2009 at 12:20 AM

nothin!

Posted by marinermoose38 on November 16, 2009 at 11:11 PM

Joke-in-in's just that..... a joke! He picks a fight with the much bigger and tougher Beauchemin, and then pulls a turtle act! Of course Iginla wouldn't go after Beauchemin either since he'd get knocked the F out like he did a couple years back eh? Beauchemin with the clear win, the 3rd of 3 the Lames lose on the night!!

Posted by jcstokes on November 15, 2009 at 09:11 PM

Nice blood on Jokinens face. Flames lost all 3 fights.

Posted by BigTot on November 16, 2009 at 02:22 PM

Keep the gloves on next time Olli...
