another bullshit fight

Posted by woodape on March 21, 2009 at 12:34 AM

Ott got poned

Posted by Bruinsbear on March 22, 2009 at 12:54 AM

i don' think ott deserves the win here this was a crap fight. this kind of surprised because after ott's cowardly performance in boston last year were he ran away from a fight and provoked the b's from behind the protection of the refs i figured ott was a coward and pathetic but he surprised me here when he went after lundmark looking for a fight. still it was a crap fight and i'm not giving ott credit for the win. draw

Posted by TIRE TIM on March 21, 2009 at 03:06 PM

draw looks like lundmark landed the only punch, ott wasnt really landing anything------who cares why they go they just do and thats what makes it fun-----your guy sucks my guy sucks your team sucks my team sucks who cares? enjoy the fights while you can before they get outlawed

Posted by tyler1 on March 20, 2009 at 06:29 AM

non fight draw doesnt even do it justice.

Posted by Rangerron2006 on March 23, 2009 at 02:39 PM

Everyone knows that Ott is recovering from a broken hand and it is very difficult to fight. So grabbing is really all he can do.

Posted by dirtydave on March 23, 2009 at 10:32 AM

just proves again that ott is a wannabe tough guy

Posted by tattooedkingpin on March 19, 2009 at 10:31 AM

Ott is a fool. i refuse to give him the w. Draw.

Posted by Towmater on March 19, 2009 at 01:28 AM

Ott is scum, Vandemeer is on the ice, and Ott picks a fight with Lundmark. What a puss.

Posted by Behn Wilson on March 19, 2009 at 10:41 AM

At least Lundmark eventually ''went'', which begs the question... how did Ott look so lame against a non-fighter.

Posted by bruiseyoureye on March 19, 2009 at 10:26 AM

lundmark wanted to fight ott using his stick....that was funny as hell........ott wins

Posted by ogie ogiltorpe on March 19, 2009 at 10:50 PM

Good for Lundmark to stand up to Ott who is a punk

Posted by pepsigenerate on March 19, 2009 at 09:40 PM

ott wins this one by a couple shots.

Posted by Spanky_Jazz on March 19, 2009 at 04:08 AM

I gave Ott the win, but.... Don't you just love how Ott refuses to go with guys that can actually fight yet goes after guys that never do, such as Lundmark? Pussy.

Posted by JETTA KNIGHT on March 20, 2009 at 06:50 PM

cross-check? you mean Ott holding Lundmark's stick under his arm, then Lundmark turns and punches him in the back. then Ott crosschecks Lundmark in the back. and interfered and instigated. win for Ott against a non-fighter.

Posted by blackgoldfan on March 20, 2009 at 10:02 PM

ott gives him no option. then he gives him a whoopin.

Posted by RightWing on March 19, 2009 at 10:57 AM

Ott is such a pansy. He wouldnt fight Bieksa the other night but goes with Lundmark. What a clown...

Posted by Jordybats99 on January 01, 2016 at 11:49 AM

Meh Fight. Ott wins

Posted by shane0mack on March 19, 2009 at 01:15 AM

terrible camera work. lundmark isnt much of a fighter but it was good to see him answer the bell because that was a pretty lame-ass punch to the back of otts head. i know people hate ott but he's not nearly as bad as avery and he was just digging for the puck there. that was lundmark being a douche, not ott. but note to lundmark - next time you take half a minute to decide to drop the gloves, lose the visor too...you had enough time. edge ott in a fairly lopsided, borer.

Posted by Juha82 on March 19, 2009 at 07:11 AM

CLEAR WIN Ott

Posted by mullet33 on March 19, 2009 at 03:28 PM

moneybags - I bet you would "give it" to Lundmark if given the chance, however he did lose the fight. I will give him credit however for scoring the winning goal. Lundmark averages 3-5 fights a year but some how you all label him as a non-fighter, excuses-excuses. As I recall Ott got the decision last year against your coveted leader Iginlia - what - he is a non-fighter as well? As for you others - Ott will fight again now that the fracture in his hand has heeled, he is just a little rusty. You are all just jeaoulus you don't have Ott on your team, don't hate the great Ott. azjim- you need to start watching ice skating and leave hockey to the real men.

Posted by bruins rule on March 19, 2009 at 07:46 AM

steve ott gets the win in this fight.

Posted by Hmwrecker11 on March 22, 2009 at 12:55 AM

Uhh yah so azjim.....weak move by Ott? come now! Lundmark chucks the gloves off before Ott and could have capitalized but is obviously not the fighter type. Good win for Ott and down with the flames!

Posted by jibbs06 on March 19, 2009 at 01:50 PM

ott being ott...love it

Posted by lovelost on March 20, 2009 at 09:16 AM

Lundmark grabbed on and stayed there, why drop the gloves and hug and not throw punches.

Posted by phoch00 on March 19, 2009 at 02:23 AM

If Ott is on your team, you love him, if he's not he's a little b!tch. Whatever. If you watch the end of the clip it shows pretty clearly that Lundmark crosschecks Ott while he's leaned over and nearly takes him out. Ott responds with a crosscheck back and they start yapping at each other. Lundmark also dropped his gloves first. I'm not saying Ott is a nice guy on the ice - he probably deserved the initial crosscheck but if you actually pay attention to the clip I'd say it was a fair fight with two willing participants. Also, it's Ott with a clear victory.

Posted by Otterriffic on March 20, 2009 at 11:03 AM

All you Ott haters need to remember that the Stars doctors have told him that he should not be fighting until next season. His right had has not fully healed from being broken in a fight 3 months ago.

Posted by staceyb on March 19, 2009 at 05:34 AM

Ott doing his thing.

Posted by jonny4479 on March 19, 2009 at 02:38 AM

Kind of a snoozer. Nice to see Otter able to drop the mitts again. He's been the best all around player for the Stars for the last little while. Atleast he tried to caffeinate the guys from Big D. Doesn't really matter who won the fight. Lundmark stood up for himself and after sixty, his mates have scoreboard. Anyone who thinks Ott is a tool (or whatever you people called him) is being ridiculous. As for my Stars...how 'bout ya mix in a win?

Posted by crosscheck52 on March 19, 2009 at 07:27 AM

Ott won.

Posted by carolyn1946 on March 19, 2009 at 10:24 PM

otter is the clear winner. i bet alot of teams would like to have otter. Dallas is luck to have him.

Posted by Stuntman Mike on March 25, 2009 at 01:03 AM

Otter beat him!!!!!!

Posted by StarsFan4Life on March 20, 2009 at 03:23 PM

You guys (most being Ott haters) don't realize that Ott...even though quite aggrivating to other teams......is a very clean player. He may not have been his first two seasons, but his work ethic is how EVERY NHL player should play. With that said, Ott should not have been fighting. He is still nursing the wrist injury...which is why he was slow to throw the punches.....so give that a rest their boys. After a cross check like that, Lundmark should have been given more than a small dose of what Ott normally could bring to a fight.

Posted by loganalec on March 19, 2009 at 04:58 PM

Steve Ott is the biggest p_____ in the NHL, he would get the s_____ beat out of him in a women;s league.

Posted by moneybags on March 19, 2009 at 01:37 AM

otts gotta be the biggest wimp in the nhl..picks on a guy who was trying not to fight...whata jerk! i gave it to lundmark

Posted by ghunt24 on March 19, 2009 at 01:46 AM

Ott is a complete tool and to big of a [email protected]$ch to actually go after someone that can fight.

Posted by claire alexande on March 25, 2009 at 07:44 PM

Even by Ott's standards, this is pathetic. Lundmark is a non-fighter, plain and simple, and Ott isn't able to do anything against him. Then a few nights later, he punks out against alex burrows, for god's sake. My sister could punch out burrows.

Posted by azjim on March 19, 2009 at 05:37 AM

"it shows pretty clearly that Lundmark crosschecks Ott " No it doesn't. Lundmark has one hand on his stick while they are together on the boards. How is Lundmark going to throw off his helmet when Ott grabs him as soon as the gloves come off? Weak move by Ott, weak fight.

Posted by TrueBlue26 on March 19, 2009 at 11:37 AM

ehh gee

Posted by chad420 on March 25, 2009 at 11:17 PM

ott actually fighting.............and winning vs a nonfighter...who did start it....a 1

Posted by H.i.t.m.a.n 514 on March 19, 2009 at 10:59 AM

WIN OTT

Posted by Cherndig on March 19, 2009 at 10:31 AM

Ott next time you fight a no-fighter beat him up better so he doesn't make your team pay on the score sheet. You can tell he played with Avery for awhile, the two just won't drop them against a real opponent. Ott win

Posted by knuckleup14 on March 19, 2009 at 04:17 PM

ott you are a worthelss scum you and artukyin should fight. you both are to pansy enough to fight anybody taht KNOWS HOW and when you occasionaly do, you get completely fucked up.

Posted by philabronc on March 21, 2009 at 12:46 PM

Would someone explain why this is not an instigator penalty on Ott? If that's not someone trying to start a fight, then what the hell is??

Posted by wannago_letsgo on March 20, 2009 at 01:48 AM

phoh00, maybe you should watch the clip a bit closer, there was no cross check from Lundmark, he punched Ott in the back of the noggin and that's why Ott went at him for it. Good thought though. Ott with the Win, fairly uneventful fight.

Posted by goon10 on March 19, 2009 at 09:27 AM

After watching the first camera angle I was going to say Ott should go after somebody who wants to fight. But after watching the replay it was very clear Lundmark got himself into that situation.

Posted by mclean1907 on March 23, 2009 at 01:18 AM

The fight starts with them wrapped around each other and exchanging body shots. Ott rips himself from Lundmarks graps and gives Lundmark a few heavy hits to the body. Ott than throws Lundmark to the ice.

Posted by tiburon4 on March 19, 2009 at 04:56 PM

Jamie was easy pickings for Ott: Ott wins hands down.

Posted by krister.hedren on March 21, 2009 at 05:13 AM

Steve Ott is a really tough guy. How about answering the bell when someone at least his own size wants to make him accountable. What a possy.
