The Ducks are pussies, they knew Ott had a broken hand and couldnt fight, f u ck Moen.

Posted by ROSSSSSS10 on February 28, 2009 at 08:38 PM

okay so, fighting a guy with a broken hand? thats a classy thing to do. and for all you people talking crap about Ott... REALLY? the guy is one of the best agitators in the game. every game he gets under the opponents skin, gets their top players frustrated, gets other players to take stupid penalties. the man is efficient at what he does. and whoever said he doesnt even fight, just go look at his fight log... he drops them plenty. and to whoever said he shouldnt even be playing because of the broken hand, he actually has career highs in all offensive categories this season. way to know your details guys. come on.

I love Hockeyfights.com but you ass clowns who keep posting talking smack like internet gansters need to shut the hell up. Either you dont know what your talking about, blind, or just pissed off because you had your lunch money taken in high school. The blood on Ott's face is from a Highstick he took on Friday night. Not Moen! Moen is a punk who I would love to fight. Ott is not scared of Pronger, remember early this year he coldcocked him!!! Ott would be welcomed on any team in the league as he has a strong work ethic and gets under other guys skins. I am pissed at the Dallas Stars team for not being there for Ott as he has always been there and taken one for the team. There is no teamwork in Dallas. Who vcares if you take a penalty or suspension. Stick up for your man who has one arm. Jiggy, Ott, Moen, and Pronger all deserve repercussions from the league because of what happened. The degree of punishment should be handled by the league. If I was Ott I would have choked the bitch out! Fu_k the Ducks!

Posted by JRod02 on March 06, 2009 at 05:26 PM

you people are idiots. Ott's wrist isn't hurt anymore...hes wearing a brace on his wrist as precaution measures for a while until hes sure that he doesn't re-aggervate that injury. Due to him wearing the brace...he cannot legally fight in the NHL, if he does he's suspended. Moen knew that...but Moen is too much of a bitch to where obviously he can't NOT fight a man in which he knows can't fight right now. Ott is never a dirty player and believe you me, if he would have been able to fight he would have beat the shit out of this no-name pussy Moen. Funny how you Anahiem Suck's traded Moen away right before we played you guys again. Because you knew Barchy was comin for his ass. Moen can consider 13 his unlucky number...because the next time we play san jose he's gonna get knocked the fuck out by Barch. Ask Daniel Carcillo what thats all about ;)

Posted by HUTCH80 on February 28, 2009 at 08:43 PM

Moen is a little B_tch they jumped Ott knowing Ott couldnt fight back! What a coward! Glad he got his eyes gouged out! Ott is a class act. Takes a real man to throw punches against someone that cant fight back!!! Lets see that whimp try that with Barch, didn't think so! Way to go Moen, COWARD!

Posted by pmarz1 on March 01, 2009 at 06:39 PM

Anyone who would condone the cheapshot Giguere did is a total ass. I cant stand Ott but that cowardly shit by gigi should get him a suspension. Moen gets nothing for being the 4th man in while gigi and needleheadmier attacked from behind. Gutless pieces of crap, true to form. And just to piss off you dik sucking ducks fans, win goes to Ott.

Posted by ctscharger on March 02, 2009 at 02:59 AM

just imagine what Pronger would have done to him

Posted by ozman on February 28, 2009 at 09:13 PM

Moen is a punk bitch. The only reason he even took on Otter was because he knew that Ott couldn't fight back due to the plate and screws in is hand from beating Steve Montador's ass earlier this season. Gigure is just as much of a puss as Moen. Loves to start sh!t cuz he never has to face the reprecussions. Seems also that most of you fools aren't very educated either. How do you guys figure he's one of the dirtiest players when he's only taken just above the league average in PIMs. To say also that he has no skills when he's having the best scoring season of his career. The fact also that most of you can't spell nor type complete in sentences prove most of you are both uneducated and stupid.

Posted by woodape on March 02, 2009 at 01:12 AM

Steve Ott lays a beat down on Moen!!! Why aren't there more eye gouges? It is easier to beat on someone who can't see, is it not?

Posted by igalriga on March 01, 2009 at 04:42 PM

moen is a cheap ass. you can cross check with plates in your hand, but you can't fight.

Posted by theranch on March 01, 2009 at 08:36 AM

You Moen lovers are a bunch of a$$ clowns. He is a fking coward for being the "3rd man in" on a guy with a broken hand. Ott was cross checked for 60 minutes, but yall for get about that...give me a break... Let's see, Ott gives Niedermayer a stick in the back - cross-check? really? Did Niedermayer go down? No, so it couldn't have been much. Giguere slashes Ott and then smacks him. Niedermayer enages Ott and Moen jumps in (3rd man in?) and wails away against an opponent that did not throw punches back. And, none of this was problematic? I don't know about the eye-gouge and why other Stars did not come to Ott's aid is troublesome, but, really, the league has nothing to say about the Anaheim players' actions?

Posted by Stuntman Mike on March 02, 2009 at 02:13 PM

OTTER RULES!!!! That was a cowardly display by the entire Duck's organization. Carlyle staged that entire attack on a player with plates in his hand. J.S. is p""""y!!! He speared Ott who was then attacked by Pronger and Moen after putting Scotty flat on his back. If any of the Duck's players had half the heart of Steve Ott they might have made it out of the first round last year!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!! That's what this is all really about. Looking forward to Friday night at the Civic Center when Barch is on the ice!!!!

Posted by Heyzeus on March 04, 2009 at 07:49 AM

haha Watch Moen kicking his legs at the end when Otts on top of him giving him the gouge. Looks like a little girl having a tantrum. Ott should have tore his eye out and ate it on the spot. Now that would be sending a message.

Posted by mullet33 on March 01, 2009 at 12:21 PM

Mark 3/6/09 down on your calendar, going to be a good one... staceyb: The name is OTT not ORR..geez Possible suspension for gouging Moen's eye? Come the F*** on - ridiculous!!! I would have poked his F***ing eye out!!

Posted by TexasGophr on March 02, 2009 at 11:52 PM

All you guys who keep calling Ott a punk haven't been paying attention. Ott is not allowed to fight due to his hand. In the last few season's he has always backed up his play and mouth. This year guys are running at HIM because they know he is not allowed to fight. Lets see in the Ducks can play a physical game on the ice in regulation on Thursday instead of jumping a guy 2 on 1 after the game is over.

Posted by dalfan1842 on March 03, 2009 at 05:45 PM

I think you guys should stop bagging on Steve Ott. The goalie started his fire and when something starts he doesn't ignore it. I was at the game that day and they replayed it alot and it was easy to see that the goalie started it and the defensivemen was just trying to help his goalie. Steve Ott is a fighter nuff said but he doesn't intensionally try to hurt other players and I don't believe in this suspension.

Posted by carolyn1946 on March 06, 2009 at 09:08 PM

MOEN AND THE DUCKS ARE CHEAP PLAYERS . THEIR GOALER IS A NO BODY. CHEAP. THE DUCKS ARE WANTING TO BE THE BAD BOYS OF HOCKEY. GUESS WHAT YOU ARE. I ALL WAYS THOUGHT THAT THE RED WINGS WAS THE EVIL TEAM. BUT THE DUCKS ARE. OH, BY THE WAY STEVE OTT IS FROM CANADA. to all poster all teams in nhl would love to have steve ott on their team. the ducks sent Moen away on TRADE DAY. The goalie for ducks is a a**. I would love to have ott or avery on my team. You people do not know what you are talking about. So close up.!!!!!

Posted by mrunohoo on February 28, 2009 at 08:04 PM

hey wingsfan--did you and Ott go buy curtains together or something? you have a serious hard-on for the guy, don't you? It's no secret he's one of the dirtiest, most hated guy in the nhl, it's his job and this is him getting paid for it. if his hgand was broken, he shouldn't have fought, end of story.

Posted by sjovocop55 on February 28, 2009 at 08:13 PM

Way to go Otter!!!!!

Posted by jonny4479 on March 04, 2009 at 01:27 AM

Have you people lost your damn minds? There wasn't anything deserving about the fight. Steve Ott did what you do in front of the opposing net: make trouble. Niedermeyer doesn't need anyone to fight his battles, especially not J.S. Ott was doing his job, and so was Moen. And I applaud them both. Moen for sticking up for his goalie (the Ducks' captain wasn't the reason for the pugilism) and Otter for doing something -ANYTHING- to try to charge up his team. But don't kid yourselves. Everyone on the Stars' schedule knows that Ott is a non-combatant until his hand is healed. Someone should've stepped in to fight Moen instead. I love my Stars, but that was just pathetic.

Posted by upirlichy on March 06, 2009 at 01:45 PM

What a super star Moen was...."trying" to pound another guys face in who cant fight back. Moen...what a standup guy.

Posted by Johnny8242 on March 01, 2009 at 02:16 AM

Ott was making trouble and got an a$$ whooping for his trouble. No attempt to fight back with his injury I don't see how you can give it to anyone but Moen!

Posted by kalismkkr on March 01, 2009 at 12:55 PM

Couldn't happen to a better guy! (ok,, Veilleux or Maltby may be as annoying as Ott). Ott shouldn't be on the ice if he has a broken hand. He's not a skill player so he about as helpful as a pregnant hooker in Vegas. Anyone cross checking a skill player like Neidermeyer, can't expect to hide behind their broken hand. No, Ott is not a skill player. 33 goals in over 300 NHL games means he's not a goal scorer. He may have 14 or so this year, but that is a pace about equal to Darren McCarty at the same age. Nobody ever called him a skilled goal scorer either. Just because Ott is having a career year for himself doesn't mean he is good.

Posted by cheesecup on March 02, 2009 at 11:45 PM

giguere started that whole mess, cant blame moen for jumping in there, but if a goalie starts a fight he's fair fucking game. moen with the win, jsg can suck my cheese balls

Posted by Behn Wilson on March 01, 2009 at 12:52 AM

''Ott'' '''not'' fight with a broken hand.

Posted by majew17 on March 02, 2009 at 11:59 AM

i never saw Ott do anything to warrant a major penalty. What did he do,and to whom?

Posted by Gocanes222 on March 01, 2009 at 07:45 PM

This was quite an odd fight. Rarely does a game end with a full on bout. I don't think all of you should be killing Steve Ott. He has a job in the NHL. His job is to agitate. He gets payed to agitate. There is nothing that will prevent him from agitating. I guarentee to you that a majority of teams would like to have a good agitator like Steve Ott. Someone to fire up the team, someone to get involved. He gets payed to agitate and he does it well. There is no reason to get angry for there is nothing you can do about it.

Posted by billy jack on February 28, 2009 at 10:34 PM

im not an ott fan but he was bush wacked,i wish some one would grab selanne when he runs his mouth, you see him chirping, selanne, alferdson and koivu are always yapping but never back it up,i would just do a domi and drop them while there chirping..

Posted by GSP09 on February 28, 2009 at 09:10 PM

Well, Moen with a win against a guy with a broken hand .Obviously Ott couldn't fight but what the heck was he trying to prove ,with 3 seconds left in the game.

Posted by thebigbea55 on March 01, 2009 at 12:47 AM

wouldn't call this a fight... i hate ott as well but really hate the ducks.. full of goons on the ice all game with cheap shots..

Ott is a piece of shiit....way to hammer on him Moener

Posted by jlmcgui on October 26, 2009 at 09:00 PM

You play dirty, sooner or later, you will pay the price. Looks like Moen released some Ducks frustration.

Posted by hal29 on March 01, 2009 at 06:54 PM

the intent to injure wasn't for the cast it was for the eye gaudge..thats why his suspension is under review

Posted by bruiseyoureye on February 28, 2009 at 09:01 PM

moen pounded the sh*t out of ott........then ott tackled moen and punched him when he was on ice.........ott is a pus*y for doing that....ott will get his payback for that cheap shit....godard will beat the sh*t out of ott tomorrow

Posted by stevemcgraw1 on February 28, 2009 at 09:16 PM

Ott is a big mouthed pussy. He got what he deserves. More people should bitch slap him around then maybe he will realize what a pussy he really is...

what a nimrod ott that is

Posted by Gunslinger on February 28, 2009 at 11:16 PM

If the Stars so disliked Avery, how can they stand this assclown. He is a bigger puss then Avery will ever be. Moen easy.

Posted by tattooedkingpin on February 28, 2009 at 06:57 PM

Wow, Moen was pissed. Ott got what he deserved. Fucking Rat.

Posted by staceyb on March 01, 2009 at 07:51 AM

I'm no Orr fan but the guy couldn't fight--how fair is that? But I read later he gouged Moen in the eye--give Ott a suspension.

Posted by ShuterMcGav on February 28, 2009 at 06:49 PM

Ott is a pos and it's nice to see blood running down his face. But I don't see where the intent to injure took place, just looked like a cross check to me.

Posted by blackgoldfan on March 01, 2009 at 10:28 PM

typical ott. geuss the moral of the story is don't write cheques your ass can't cash. Meon with the w.

Posted by Thunder Cat 2 on March 01, 2009 at 11:12 PM

Ott is a little girl and got what he deserved. Moen landed some great shots on ott and i loved watching it. If ott really did try and eye gouge moen at the end, then he should be punished and ashamed. Moen gave ott a nice little Ace kicking.

Posted by hall5875 on March 01, 2009 at 12:04 AM

Ott's the biggest piece of sh*t in the league.

Posted by bruins rule on February 28, 2009 at 06:31 PM

moen with the win in this fight.

Posted by wuzzaman on March 08, 2009 at 03:22 AM

To all the people dissing Ott, I gotta say you don't know much about hockey. He is a very good agitator, draws a lot of penalties (see last year's playoffs for a good example). He's got the A because he is a leader for the Stars, though why anyone would want to lead those pussies is beyond me. On saying that, he probably shouldn't have mixed it up knowing he couldn't defend himself, and Moen was absolutely right to do what he did. I also think the refs chickened out by not throwing some penalties around. Giguere and neidermeyer should have got roughing and Moen should've got an instigator and maybe a game misconduct, considering it was after the buzzer. I just want to see some consistency.

Posted by crosscheck52 on March 01, 2009 at 07:16 AM

Moen really took it to him.

Posted by Riomouse911 on March 02, 2009 at 01:56 AM

What a bi-itch Ott is. A-hole got his A handed to him. Out there deliberately trying to hurt another player with cross checks at the end of the game. Loser.

moen with CLEAR WIn

Posted by SirYohans on March 01, 2009 at 01:26 PM

Posted by BuffSabs76 on February 28, 2009 at 07:23 PM

All of you people who are calling Moen a cheap a** are stupid and lack common sense. If Otts hand was so bad then he would not repeatedly cross check an opposing player with three seconds to go in the game. Jean did the right thing, Moen did the right thing and Ott did the wrong thing.... wake up people Ott clearly started the whole mess

Posted by Towmater on March 01, 2009 at 04:02 PM

If you can't defend yourself, don't go out and be a complete *ss. Ott got the whipping he deserved.

Ott has been suspended for Eye-gauging NEW YORK (March 1, 2009) – Dallas Stars forward Steve Ott has been suspended without pay, pending a hearing, for receiving a match penalty for intent to injure at the end of NHL game #925 Saturday afternoon. Ott was assessed a match penalty under NHL rule 21.1 (attempt to injure) for his actions during an altercation with Anaheim forward Travis Moen following the third period’s final buzzer.

Posted by Ryan44 on March 01, 2009 at 06:09 AM

Good God I love Moen, and even more I hate that f?*@ing p?*@y Ott! Is he from Sweden or what?

Posted by Sukoshi84 on March 01, 2009 at 04:03 PM

all you bitches that vote a win for Ott are a Draw are fuking pus$y ass bitches who live to suck cock and ruin this site. Ott is a bitch who was fuking with Nieds and got fuking worked over by moen and after the fight he gouges his thumb in moens eye, that makes Ott a fuking punk bitch who's gonna get jumped when the ducks n' stars play next...... looks like Ott is picking it up for Avery

Posted by mike gradzewicz on February 28, 2009 at 10:18 PM

ok ok now for the 23% who gave this fight to ott, I am not even going to look at this web site anymore knowing there are stupid retarts who have no reason to be considered a part of society. EITHER THAT OR OTT HAD HIS MOTHER VOTE FOR HIM 2- TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by brazos on March 01, 2009 at 08:11 AM

Giguere did what he should have done to protect his teammate. Chopping the legs out from under Ott was called for due to the cross-checks that Ott was delivering. Moen did the right thing by jumping Ott and landing some decent shots to his head. Old time hockey. You mess with my teammate ,then expect to defend yourself. Eye gougin --- girly move, which deserves a suspension.

Posted by SOCALFAN on February 28, 2009 at 08:02 PM

Ott was happily throwing cross checks against the Anaheim Captian as well as running his pie hole through out the game. It is a beutiful thing that Moen slapped the child like he deserved. His hand must be so bad the he thinks he can get away with anything. I am looking forward to the next match up and see if Ott will keep running his mouhas learned anything.

Posted by mjohnston41 on March 02, 2009 at 09:17 PM

If you're going to screw with folks near the end of a game plan on taking your lumps, injured or not. Little wuss had to then go for an eye gouge. Well, that says something about the guy doesn't it?

Posted by alsport on March 02, 2009 at 12:07 AM

Ott is from Canada (Stoney Point, Ontario), not Sweden. I don't see what difference that makes.

Posted by damattz on March 02, 2009 at 08:38 AM

Otts a cheap dirty player and i've always wanted Moen on the Canucks.

Posted by plubber on February 28, 2009 at 07:50 PM

By the way, the intent to injure is for throwing punches with a cast on your hand or wrist. The bitch shouldn't be hacking the way he does if he can't back it up, and Ott can only back it up with some sort of advantage. He got smacked, and rightly so.

Posted by kurri17 on February 28, 2009 at 08:25 PM

Total domination by Moen.

Posted by ludwigrock on March 01, 2009 at 08:11 AM

Moen wins ott loses the fite he shudnt hav hit niedermayer either

Posted by staplegun81 on March 02, 2009 at 11:28 AM

Ott is lucky the Ducks team didn't put him in the hospital for repeated cheap shot against the classy Neidermayer...apparently, his Stars mates weren't exactly fans of his behaviour either, as no other black jerseys were anywhere to be seen. Win Moen. Big win Moen, with huge points in the locker room after.

Posted by ogie ogiltorpe on March 01, 2009 at 05:19 PM

this is the way it should be done....if you are cheap and dirty you get your face pounded in....good job Moen with a dominant win....the NHL should be looking at banning players for stick infractions not fighting!

Posted by The Blind Pig on February 28, 2009 at 10:02 PM

The cross-checking motor mouth Ott gets what he deserves as Travis Moen beats him down. He tried to hide behind a broken hand but was made to pay for his dishonorable actions. WIN-MOEN

Posted by hellhound on March 01, 2009 at 12:07 AM

Otts greatest weapon is that big mouth of his, good to see Moen silence it, going after Neidemeyer, what a good Ott is

Posted by hockeymark on March 02, 2009 at 01:33 PM

While most players wouldn't want to to go after a guy who can't fight, but Ott got his chipshots in all night and ultimately got what was coming to him. That's what he does. I wouldn't classify him as the cleanest either. What goes around comes around! I'm sure Moen would have rather had Ott not have the issue with his hand. Moen punished on this one!

Posted by acmocaco on March 01, 2009 at 09:43 PM

You know, I'm getting sick of Steve Ott. Yeah, we all know agitators are part of the game... but Steve Ott is a joke of a hockey player. He takes stupid penalties, he can't fight, and he is easily the dirtiest player in the league. Good agitators like Ruutu, Avery and Tootoo don't just take penalties, they draw penalties... Ott can't even do that. At least dirty guys like Tootoo or Pronger can back their dirtiness up with some fighting skills. Ott is trash

Posted by eadamson on March 02, 2009 at 05:42 PM

Wow. Ott got man handled, and he deserved every second of it. Deserves it even more if the eye gouging thing is even remotely true. This kind of fight warms my heart.

Posted by cabsf15e on March 04, 2009 at 12:00 PM

Ott was sooo deserving of this beat-down!! Way to go Travis, you gave Ott what he had coming to him. The NHL suspended Ott for "Intent to Injure" a player, so all of the Dallas homers who think Moen was out of line, well, think again chumps!!

Posted by bentrod on March 01, 2009 at 10:33 PM

Who in the world would have voted for Ott? Oh, I guess someone from Dallas. Maybe you should watch the fight again. Moen owned that wuss. If you have a broken hand, you should tone down your game a little if you are the team pest. Let someone else do it until you heal.

Posted by rowbearprobear on March 01, 2009 at 01:39 PM

i hate all players involved (even niedermayer) so no homer here ott surely got what he deserved i wonder if the stars are going to take the moral high ground and kick ott off the team like they did when Avery shot his mouth off for such a 'dispacable' act by ott. good to see these guys hate each other - the playoffs must be near

Posted by NHO3713 on March 15, 2009 at 07:14 PM

i cant wait for the day that ott is dead, easily the dirtiest player in the league, watch the game vs the stars and bruins earlier this year i wish pronger had gotten to ott rather than moen MOST HATED PLAER IN NHL = OTT

Posted by muddy83 on March 01, 2009 at 06:29 AM

Match penalty for intent to injure(AKA eye gouging). Now that's real class. You know I can understand him being pissed at Moen for kicking his a$$ and him not being able to fight back. Come on though! It doesn't really seem like eye for an eye (no pun intended really). I mean if your hand gets broken again then you're out for four to six weeks. However if you gouge somebody's eyes then you're talking about the end of somebody's career. I almost hope that Ott doesn't get suspended for more than one game so that he's on the ice when the two meet up again in a week.

Posted by ryncamp on March 01, 2009 at 07:50 PM

good for moen and jiggy...ott needed a taste of his own medicine. going after neids when the game had already ended...what did he really think was going to happen??? unlike the stars, the ducks stand up for their own. doesn't matter who is on the ice, anyone of those guys will drop the gloves.

Posted by sj408 on March 01, 2009 at 04:10 PM

Hahahaha I loved this one. Ott finally gets what he deserves. The little girl stoops so low as to eye gouge after getting a beat down. Almost like a little girl pulling hair. I hate these 2 teams but almost made me a fan of Moen for this.

Posted by dlbishop2213 on March 02, 2009 at 01:45 AM

Words cannot express how much i hate Ott... I scored this a 10 simply because Moen destroyed him. F him.

Posted by sawingsfan on February 28, 2009 at 06:40 PM

I'm no Stars or Ott fan, but this was total BS. I understand why Ott did the cross check thing -- I don't necessarily agree with it, but the officials failed to call anything that was happeneing in front of that net for the last 5 minutes of the game -- as they normally do. So Ott, how does it feel to get that in front of the net? 'cause y'all did it all game long to Homer in the playoffs last year. And jiggy should get suspended at least for a game for his part. He's such a p***y. Kind like Turco swingin' the stick at Homer last year. I hope Ott runs the fat little Jiggy next time -- skates up. And an intent to injure penalty? It better have been for something that occurred while Ott had him down (and I hope he did do something!) What a puss Moen is for attacking someone with a broken hand. Bottom line, this wasn't a fight -- didn't have two guys square off, just an attack on Ott.

this is the first fight of the year Moen has "won." He has gotten handled in 95% of his fights this season, so he goes after Ott, who has a broken hand and can't fight. Whoopty-do, Ducks fans...whoopty-do

It's a good thing for Giguere, that Belfour was no longer in the pipes for Dallas. He would have got his ass kicked like a queen he is by Belfour. And Moen...what a p---y...along with the worlds tallest hermie..Pronger.

All you ott haters can suck it. if he was on yalls teams he would be everyone of yall c**ksuckers favorite player. you know you are the best at what you do when you have a lot of whiny bitches complaining about how you play the game. its called hockey you idiots. you do anything you can do to give your struggling team momentum going down the stretch. learn to love it cuz he aint changin. Be Jealous!!!!!

wow where was the attempt to injured penalty?

Posted by DaBomb1 on February 28, 2009 at 10:55 PM

moen is a p*ssy

Posted by nickbahh on March 01, 2009 at 05:29 PM

Ott basically gets assaulted. Kinda gutless punching a man who can't punch back.

Posted by hydr4 on March 01, 2009 at 06:53 PM

Does anything notice that no Stars players came into the scrum to help their Alternate captain? Someone should hand Giguere his ass and give him an attempt to injure. Goalies think they can do whatever they feel like, and Ott returned the favour.

Ott got what he asked for. Probably didn't really want it though. Clear win for Moen.

I hate the Ducks but absolutely loved watching this. Ott was being a punk. I'm sure Ott's not gonna use his broken hand as an an excuse and nobody else should you it as an excuse for him. If you have a broken hand don't cross check the other team's captain at the end of the game. I think he though he could just get some cheap shots in at the end and nobody would care. He deserved what he got whether or not his hand is broken.

If Ott had not kept up whacking away with his stick, he wouldn't have been punched up the way he was. That isn't Moen's problem. If Ott wants to play like Tiger Williams, he has to defend himself like Tiger Williams. Where were the other Stars?

giuere is a pussy for 2X4ing ott but then again otts a pussy as well, turco shoulda came down the ice to wreck him (gigure that is), moen wrecked ott which he deserved

Posted by Daave on March 02, 2009 at 04:57 PM

Giguere's roughing up of Ott is fairly comical, and Moen proceeds to punch Ott's ticket and show him to his seat. If there -was- eye-gouging, I'm sure he'll get what he deserves. Ott should have known better than to repeatedly crosscheck the captain like that, especially at that stage of the game; the reaction he got was entirely predictable. Also, how on earth did *Steve Ott* get an "A"?

Posted by bnwolfe on March 02, 2009 at 12:57 AM

Watch specifically how Pronger and Moen crowd Ott into the corner, and then he's surrounded by white sweaters so no one can run to his defense, as the stars generally have to do when Ott starts something and can't finish it. This is true "policing the ice" by a team. Steve Ott deserves way more beatings than he gets. He's got a job to do but unfortunately he crosses the line too much. Frankly the stars have more class than that guy and the other numskull they got rid of earlier this season.

Moen. Obviously.

Posted by Andyman on March 01, 2009 at 09:19 AM

Giggy with the Win. Moen with the win. The only punches thrown by Ott was the eye gouge and the cross checks to Niedermeir.

Finally someone knuckle F**ked that pric.

All you people thinking Moen's a "punk" and Ott DIDN'T get what he deserved have obviously NEVER watched a Stars game before. Steve Ott is an absolutely gutless, spineless, b***h who deserves to have his face smashed in. He runs guys with no reprecussions, gets his stick up, elbows up, and is just an all-around dirty cheap shot artist. I'm glad Moen cut him open and landed a solid 5 or 6 to Ott's face, but Ott deserves even more than what he got! WIN Moen.
