one of the best fights i've seen, probert served up a beat down. But the best part is when yzerman is doing the championship belt move on the bench, hilarious!

Probert was the big winner.

Probert gets more shots in but Domi made this a very entertaining bout. Win Probert in the re-match.

Posted by webdox on April 16, 2007 at 01:01 AM

Probert won that one.

What happened to Domi's belt?

I flew down from Boston for this bout and it didn't disappoint. From the face off to the last punch Probert was in control. The only thing I can't believe is Domi stayed up for so long. I have the photos if anyone is interested!

Domis self proclaimed championship reign didn't last very long, but he's still one of my favorites. One of the best fights ever. Probie (rip) was just a beast.

The infamous rematch of probie and domi boy what a fight probert wins his title back

Posted by Shoryuken on March 16, 2007 at 04:58 PM

The line up against each other at a faceoff under a minute into the game... the puck drops, Probert gives an initially reluctant Domi a couple of whacks (to 'make [Domi] ready', as Probert put it in an interview many years later)... and away they go! Its all Probert initially, with Bob landing several punches flush to the initially stumbling Domi. Domi comes back with some of his own, stinging Probert with a heavy left. However this just enrages Probert more, who lands several more rights (the boxscore reads something like 46-24 punches landed in favour of Probert by the end of the fight). Eventually as both guys are tiring, Probert lands another right and pushes Domi to the ice in the process - I disagree with the call of this being a TKO win for Probert. Still, a clear win for the champ, who keeps his 'belt'. A must-see classic for anyone who is just getting into hockey fights.

One of the best fights of all time!! Would've voted it a draw until Probert landed that last punch which dropped Domi to the ice. Awesome fight!

Probert settles the score. The godfather of fighters in that era.

I must of watched this fight a hundred times on rock'em sock'em when I was a kid.

Big Bob solidifying his title of champ, Domi solidifying his as biggest cementhead the league is ever likely to see- some of those bombs would have killed lesser men, but Domi has his gamegrin on both during and after the fight (my fave fighter of all time)

Probert = Legend. Will the wings ever see a guy like this again? *cries*

TKO-win Probert. he landed more punches. But kudos to Domi, he wasn't bad here-

One of the best fights in the history of the NHL. definitly the most hyped game for a fight ever. Probert the reigning champ forever!!

Posted by DaveGoodstein on January 21, 2008 at 06:03 PM

This was the fight of the century between the heavyweights of Domi and Probert. ESPN had their boxing analysis talking about the matchup. Probert won this bout!!

This goes to show you why Bob Probert is the best fighter in NHL History! This year, Milan Lucic takes the NHL Heavyweight Title away from Georges Laraque.

Nice effort by Tie, but you had a beating coming. Good job for taking it.

Posted by jakethesnake on January 23, 2010 at 11:09 AM

Probie ruled Dumi here, It was funny watching Yzerman do the heavyweight belt gesture on bench, as Dumi skated to the penalty box smiling...........A true cementhead, has the guy ever bled from a fight??

Posted by HowkeyFightFan on June 03, 2010 at 10:19 PM

No conttest, Probert wins hands down. Probert started the fight a continuation of their fisrt fight, it was payback for Probert for Domi's antics at the end of their previous fight. probert pounded Domi into the ice. Clear domination win for Probert.

One of my favorite nhl fights of all time. Probert is a legend.

All round belter!

Posted by buzzgun2000 on December 02, 2014 at 07:12 PM

I never have been a fan of the showboating. The young Domi learned that it's not wise to show up a veteran.

Great fight Probert the win!!!

Posted by dogthedevilfan on July 06, 2010 at 03:53 PM

probert in a rout. what a great last punch.

Posted by boycew39 on April 27, 2007 at 12:42 PM

What an awesome bout! Probert was the clear winner but Domi is a freakin machine. He took loads of punches but just kept on swinging.
