Other Penalties: Watson received an interference.
"Alright Austin you can't push my guys around like that. Come on over here and kick my ass!"
Wingels "stands up for his teammate" by getting body-thumped a dozen times. Nice. Also welcome back to hockeyfights.coms' Mr. October.
Oh shut up about the damn powerplay! These announcers kill me. Oh Watson is so much bigger. Wingels does the right thing addressing the hit and then doesn't throw a punch. Sigh. Win Watson.
Legal hit then one of the Chicago dwarves calls out a seasoned fighter? Pretty stupid of Wingles to call out the guy to beat him up. I bet Chicago misses Probert and Grimson.... The hit was clean, happened because a guy came through the middle with his head down. He won't do that again. There was no supplementary discipline as of now.
Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the water... Hey Gang Happy belated New Year For those keeping score at home... this is the first time in years that I've managed to make it back from my annual work related December exile so quickly... missed you guys (and girls) and puck you haters while it lasts ... Here we find Elementary attacked by a guy named after the family cat following a late yet nonetheless comedic "pasting" of hit Bows in respect to BigMike53 and... scene
Well Timmy Winkles, sometimes you have to just take the interference call and forego the jackhammer to the back of your neck.
Nothing wrong with the hit - no one has to worry about keeping their head up anymore.
My Hawks are getting more and more painful to watch. The glory years are definitely in the rear view mirror. Can't score with the stick, and can't score with the fists. The Hawks are bringing a knife to a gun fight with this lineup. Even though this is the modern, gentler NHL, I don't think it is a coincidence that the decline of the Hawks coincides with the increasing team softness. For the first time in about 8 years, I have no idea what Bowman is trying to build. Maybe it's time to tank and try to hit another Toews/Kane homerun in the draft.
Wingels sticks up for his teammate against a bigger and more skilled pugilist in Watson. I guess Watson should be considered a large middleweight. Always interesting to see guys develop a "fighting style" in order to make it into the NHL. Win Watson.
Did anyone see another outcome... Watson and a 4 Surmaster69... NOT even close to a legal hit. You can't hit someone who doesn't have the puck. You might want to learn the rules of hockey first.
Watson makes a dirty hit. Doesn’t want to fight so pushes wingels down. When pushed down begins to hit him. Yawn. The Nashville way.
I wonder how Watson's hand feels now after the helmet shots. Wingels was outsized, but good for him for stand up for his team mate after a late hit.
Bullshit Behn is back
