Gentlemanly move at the end by Boychuck as he drops to his knees so the two combattants could at least temporarily fight eye to eye
Give it to Boyo but I'm not sure why...nothing here to see.
I appreciate Calvert's enthusiasm, but he's out of his element here and Boychuk got the best of him.
Matt Calvert finds out that Johnny Boychuk is still extremely strong. Over and under for a quick win and a 3.
Calvert couldn't quite reach the top of that mountain. Lol. Win Boychuk.
gotta love calvert's heart.he doesnt hesitate to drop gloves with 3 inches taller and about 40 pounds heavier boychuk. but calvert couldnt quite overcome reach disadvantage and kind of quit when he seemed to be in trouble.that's a shame coz boychuk didnt seem to land anything and calvert's ones were very close to landing before that...win boychuk and 4
Good ol Johnny Rocket
Good little tilt. It's things like this that make me still miss Johnny Boychuk in Boston. Quick fight, some punches landed.
Boychuk's uppercuts were the difference in this one and gets the WIN.
This was a crap fight mainly because the linesmen couldn't wait to rush in to break it up. The linesmen have been doing so in every fight I've seen so far this year. They were just dying to rush into the McQuaid-McLeoad fight the other night and you could hear the referee yell to them to let the two players go. With all of the stupid "slashing" penalties not to mention the mind blowing "shield" penalties that slow the game down is the league now gradually heading towards eliminating fights ? It sure looks that way. BTW can someone explain to me a player getting a penalty because his face shield is lifted to high ? Because there are still many players who play without a shield at all which makes that rule/ penalty ludicrous.
Boychuk never landed. Calvert had two to Boychuk's mush. No way Boychuk wins this.
After watching the replay in slow mo looks like Calvert got a couple of good punches
Calvert had too. didn't go well for him this round.
Linesmen waste no time in inserting themselves into the picture.
