Not much going on here, but Paquette threw more that Murphy. Win to Paquette.

That was a very nice goal. Apparently we were re-directed to illtimedreplaysofhockeygoals.com.

This was actually a decent scrap in person, but the stupid sun sports telecast cuts away right as the fight started, Paquette was the clear winner.

Well thank God the Linesmen saved the day here! Ugh.

Between seemingly intentional directorial avoidance and panicky over-eager inept linesmanship... it seems increasingly unlikely that we'll be lucky to see any real fighting at all this season Sigh...

fighting debut for both young guys...not much of a fight but it seems like linesmen broke it up when paquette controlled the fight...edge paquette

Gotta give this one to Cedric just because it might be one of the few Lightning fight wins all year. They look great otherwise but are about as tough as wet blanket. The linesmen just felt the urge to break it up early as well. Snore.

This is getting sick already with the refs jumping in at every opportunity. Bettman quit already you Bellerina loving pussy! This experiment is not working Gary as fighting is not down this year just who is fighting.

Hmmmmmmm I guess draw......very exciting indeed

Watched the game...Paquette won pretty easily...Murphy was trying to get his guys going...didn't work.

Posted by EK65 on October 29, 2014 at 04:18 PM

From awful camera work to overly protective referees... A couple of 21 year old kids wanted to duke it out... I guess from what I saw I'd edge Paquette... But, I'm not really sure anymore..

The video was crap, but Cedric was the winner in this one.

What the fuck refs!

I've never been one to be a conspiracy theorist but I am now convinced that the NHL has decided to quietly phase out an end fighting slowly, and under the rador. How can anyone not tell that linesman are being told an instructed to jump in an end things whenever possible?! It's dispicable that the league has decided to cave to politicians & soccer moms who never were an never will be fans of the game! And as the new Sean Avory's & Matt Cookes come around it's only a matter of time until we see someone killed on the ice with no restraints or reprucussions on the rink! It's going to be a really sad year ladies & gentlemen!

I need a beer and a blow job. these fights suck this year

Posted by falopiantube on October 30, 2014 at 01:43 AM

how about a video of the fight. cant judge this clip.

Posted by Humper on October 29, 2014 at 07:17 AM

What may well have been a decent (by today's standards, mind you) fight is rendered useless due to a defective video clip.

Posted by Pacific on October 29, 2014 at 01:19 AM

Most of the fight must have happened while they were showing a worthless replay.

Posted by kkdowning on November 01, 2014 at 10:28 AM

so they showed a non-event replay instead of the alleged "fight"? What the what?

Posted by grrbronco81 on October 31, 2014 at 08:40 AM

Hard to judge a fight that you don't get to see. What the hell was the Director thinking? One punch and the Linesman is jumping in? NHL is taking this "Prohibition on Fighting" to the extreme.

Posted by Domi-ko on October 29, 2014 at 03:33 PM

Can we please either eliminate fighting totally or retrain the officials to not jump in as soon as yapping starts. This fight along with the three others on the night are pathetic examples of Bettman philosophy on getting fighting out of the game. If the linesman intervene before the gloves even hit the ice nobody will see a need to fight at all...really sad. The new NHL will soon rival the new NFL where a tackle or hit is seen a violent behavior and fines and suspensions will follow...

I kind say this with 100% honesty.. I have never heard of either of these guys and had to double check to make sure this was NOT an AHL fight.
